They will rip your close off and try to force you and when I talked to the director about how they were treating my mom. She said and I quote "well we have to be tough on her". They had a flood there recently, and we're going to move them to Ft. worth, make her share a room and she can only take a few clothes. She couldn't take her dog. And we're going to charge her same $3500.00 a month. They we're going to make her stay in the flooded room for a week before they moved them. It was unlivable conditions. So we moved her to a different place because They could not provide her with what she had and what she was paying for. We were planning on moving her before the flood. Now they are attempting to charge my mom for the month that we were in and also the next months rent. I blocked their payment from the bank, and now they are changing the amount , they are trying to get as much as they can from her account. By changing the amount to with draw. They are still continuing to do this. This shows exactly what kind of company they are running. At least 10 other residents have moved from this facility during this time, and they are doing the same to them. Please, please do not put your loved one in this facility. !! If I could give No Stars I would.

I met the staff and talked to a few of the residents. The staff was very friendly and attentive to every residents needs. You could tell, they cared. The Director went over every detail of the contract explaining exactly what we could expect and how every aspect from the different levels of care to the daily schedules. I asked many questions from what the cost would be when mom could no longer feed herself, walk or require full time assistance. This was fully explained and the increase in cost was very in line. Having lost mom over a year and a half ago now, I still keep in touch with the Director as she became a part of our family and I know in my heart, my mother was in the very best place we could have chosen for her. Thank you Lighthouse of Care for making mom's last years more than we could have ever expected. Doug Ingle

Becky and her staff at Lighthouse of Care treated her like family. She was respected and cared for, and we were completely confident that she was in good hands at all times. We know beyond a doubt that because of them, we had much more quality time with her and that when we weren't there, she felt secure, safe, and loved. We will always be grateful to Lighthouse of Care and would recommend them to anyone.

I called around here in Texas and found New Era. I told her what I knew about my father and then she said that she would access him when we arrive back in Texas but gave him the okay to stay. The owner Lillian did the assessment and said that he was fine to stay there. I went and got my fathers meds and then took them back over to New Era. Then they asked me to leave so my father could get adjusted to the place. Long story short they called me hours later saying that my dad was trying to leave and that most people want to stay there. Then on Sunday Lillian told me that I just get my father out of there and wanted him out that night. I told her that I had to return to work and that I had not been at my job long and she need to give me time to find him another place to live. She then started calling my siblings complaining about my dad saying he was aggressive and threatened the staff (which does not sound like my father at all even with this dementia). She told my sister that she was going to call the police on my dad and my siblings were worried and kept telling me to get dad. It was Sunday night and where would I take him? So I asked a lady that I used to work for if she could go set with my father and she agreed, however Lillian said no because she didn't want someone bad working in her house. I asked her why would I send someone bad to be with my father? Lillian called several times to myself and my sister complaining about my father (so much that I could barely call other places to inquire about their services). On Monday I called an Assisted Living that I had an appointment with and explained to her what was going on and they then referred me to a memory care facility in Dallas, TX called Entrust. Entrust was on point. Got everything done to accept my father and they spoke to Lillian asking her NOT to put him out and that they would send someone to set with dad. Lillian refused to have someone come in and set with dad. She was to aggressive with me so I know she was way overboard with my father. When Entrust got dad they sent me pictures of him and said he was doing just fine there and was NOT aggressive or anything like Lillian described. To me Lillian is NOT professional, to aggressive to work with the elderly and or their family and seems like they are hiding someone if you cant send in an aide for additional help for your loved one. I would definitely NOT suggest you put your loved one in either of Lillian's homes. It was a very stressful experience.
