First, the facility itself. Everything was clean and well maintained. The rehab equipment was all first class. While the food was not exactly 5 star quality, I had no complaints whatsoever. I would say that I enjoyed 99% of everything they served. There was nothing wrong with the other 1%; it just didn't please my palate. I have a good appetite, and I was satisfied with the portion sizes. Unlike other hospitals, the meals were virtually all served on time. Now, the staff. Every therapist I worked with was outstanding. These included Sarah, Dennis, Miguel, Rudy, Edwin, and Carmine. As far as the care, the vast majority were great. I missed a few of their names, but the standouts were Caroline, Karen, Chenemun (?), and Olaniyi. A few of the night staff left a bit to be desired, but the rest of the staff were outstanding. The physicians were all caring and attentive. You won't go wrong if you choose this facility for your rehab.

I put down the money for her stay after being told by Daniella that I would be refunded after her Medicare kicked in. As promised Medicare began paying for her stay on the second day. She passed away 2 weeks after her stay so I was busy with arrangements and grief. I called Texas Rehab 3 weeks after her death and they told me my refund would take a while to process which I understood. It has now been 5 months and I have not gotten my refund of over $11,000 and all the people I was working with have left the company. No one seems to know anything about anything. If you decided to stay at this facility make sure about the payment arrangements before agreeing.

My doctor referred me to Classic Rehabilitation in Arlington, after she told me I needed to have…read moreknee surgery but the Doctor at Classic Rehabilation saw that I still had a good range of motion in my knee. She started me with half my physical therapy in the pool and the other half on in the gym. The team there are all friendly and know what they are doing. The equipment and space is very clean. They were able to strengthen both legs and I'm able to do all things without pain. They help me not have to have surgery for a while longer.

Building is old and you can tell the money does not go back into it for repairs but a couple of weeks before my mom was discharged my mom was removed from an old room so that it could be fixed and was put into another old room and didn't get her room back. If you have an elderly that doesn't speak up for herself then she might not get the care she deserves BUT I repeat BUT when my 86 year old mother was transferred there from Encompass Rehab for nursing home care she could not do anything for herself and her memory was bad with a UTI on top of that. Arbrook Plaza instead in nursing home they placed her into their rehab section and they made sure she did not stay in bed all day like Encompass Health Rehab did which made her worse. BUT Arbrook Plaza motivated my mom to get up and go do physical therapy and take her showers.. she was there for about 6 weeks and we thought she would never come home. By the time she left Arbrook Plaza she could stand, transfer herself to the wheelchair (she is wheelchair bound) and scroll down the hall way. Now she is at home and is back to being herself along with memory. My brothers and I do not regret taking my mom there and they definately were a blessing to her and us. They will not give up on you family member. I saw how patients treat them and I give the employees all the praise because they deserve it.

Where do I start Total communication breakdown. Very poor…read morecommunication skills. There is a social worker but after repeated calls to get a return call is highly unlikely. Not sure who is in charge. There is little direction to new clients, and you should know a lot more than you do. My wife's meds never made it back home with her. We were supposed to have a 2 week supply but there were only 4 pills. Long enough to discover I had to pay for a lost prescriptions charge. Only the therapist know what's going on here. Just calling can be very iffy. I have yet to receive a callback from anyone there One of the nurses that you will see first is a black woman with a big attitude. She will ask you "Can I help you" with her voice but her face says more like "What do YOU want" kind of tone....If you are unhappy with your work, you should move on. I found very little help here with anything except the therapy. No one else knows anything it seems. If you're wanting to know their policies, you should probably do a lot of reading. Keep an eye on your belongings there as well. We came home missing things and missing meds as well. As of 10 days after discharge, we are still out of meds with no hope of refills until next month. Seriously? Also we are still waiting for home health care that was supposed to follow her home. The orders were given to a provider not in our network. You're better off finding your own... I'm giving it two stars for the two good people I found there.

My poor mother endured neglect, Verbal, Emotional and Physical) YES,me and my dad called in the State Board. That was the biggest waste of time. Nothing helped. I wish to God I would have put in a camera to observe what was going on. My mother was developing a bad cough and her chest rattled. They did X-rays, we were told Mrs Peggy is doing fine, nothing to worry about. I had my dad go up and see for himself and be the judge. He was horrified and demanded she be taken by ambulance immediately. Turns out, mom had pneumonia after all on top of her COPD. They lied. Mom wasn't "doing fine" she was dying! We lost her 3 weeks later at Arlington Memorial. I have cried more tears than you can imagine, the guilt I have for not moving her. We didn't have the money for a better one. She layed in her own filth for hours. They would hide her call button. My mom was a bedridden They wouldn't give her her meds like someone else stayed in their review. I could go on and in but just read the reviews and I promise you, it's all true!!!!!! Front desk was always welcoming when we came to visit and left. My mom's road to recovery was a positive experience here with the quality of care from all of the staff - literally every single staff member she came in contact with up until the day she was discharged. They really worked with her and were there for her at every corner and I appreciated that more than anything - especially the days we couldn't be there.

My mom spent weeks there and just got worse. Her memory was bad and was very weak that she could…read morehardly get out of bed and needed 1 to 2 people to assist. I saw her at group physical therapy and the patients would just stare at her while my mom's mind was elsewhere. It broke my heart. She said the therapy was loud and it stressed her out, but he had to be because some people don't hear good, but it was loud and it echoed in the room. My mom is wheelchair bound and they told Medicare that she had walked so many feet which was enough to be discharged. They discharged her with a wound and UTI to Arbrook Plaza for nursing home care. Arbrook Plaza did not give up on my mom. Instead of nursing home they put her in the rehab side of it first and 6 weeks later instead of nursing home she got to come home with no UTI, no wound and her memory and strength is back to where she can transfer herself in and out of wheelchair to her bed or restroom and dress herself. I'm glad Encompass gave up on my mom or else she wouldn't have gone to Arbrook Plaza. Yes Arbrook Plaza is an old building but the quality is great.

Stifling even if you visit after 5 pm. Administration stays in their office so they don't have to inhale it. If you bring attention to it, they will turn around and say that you're raging or are being aggressive with them because you're wanting and needing and begging for care for your loved one or begging them to make sure your loved one has a safe space that is not littered by wheelchair parts in their room and random people's underwear thrown in her closet Or even worse when they put someone else's underwear on my mother. Anything in this facility that is not bolted down has the ability to grow legs and disappear and I do mean anything. They have known thieves that are residence in the facility yet nothing is done about it. The other residents suffer for this. Please note there are few nurses that are gold to the core!! I've given them reviews and accolades to other admin there and kudos but it stops there. Morale here is down for the entire facility bottom to top, admin to clinical, including the residents. This reflects clearly that there is a DIRECTOR problem, and it is evident that this place is not being directed in a very good direction. I have seen nothing but decline since my mother has been there at this facility under current management. It's just nasty. Residents have lost all morale and just rock back-and-forth in their doorways. There's no activities director so the biggest thing they do is play bingo for a soda. If you do not do anything else ever, please understand that this facility has violent offenders in this facility and there have been physical altercations while my mother has been there. Please , If you were having to make this hard decision for your loved one, I can tell you with a calm, caring voice to please do your research do your visits, do not listen to the sales pitches their marketing throws out, do not trust ANY pictures posted!! You have to dig deep in that place just to find a chair that is safe to sit in. The entire facility is just dilapidated and that is the truest word I can think of to describe this place. My mother went in there, clean and mobile. Now we do not bring family to the facility because we're embarrassed of the stench that meets us at the door, my mother is always in dirty clothes that does not belong to her and smell smells like a sewage plant. We have to pick her up from the facility, take her to our home, bathe her ourselves, clean up the chronic fungus that she has from the facility that will not treat her Medically for it consistently, Bandage everything up, make sure we have new clothes for her before we can even sit down and enjoy a dinner and relax,. This is not a dramatization or an exaggeration. This is what our life is with a loved one at this facility. I have posted what 30 months ago looks like vs 18 months in this facility. We were told that my mother would get all kinds of cognitive therapy and physical therapy, but again, the residents are just there to breathe and the evening shift are all too happy to hurry up and get their medicine and food and make them get in their rooms because they don't want to deal with them. This Facility has more issues than Cosmo magazine. Do not put your loved one here I beg you!! The Care in this out-of-the-way rehab rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility was surprisingly…read morespot on. When I arrive to see my client, they were changing her and cleaning her. This cost her much pain and led her to cry and scream, which the staff dealt with in the most humane and compassionate manner. They spoke softly, encouragingly, and continue to let her know that they were doing the best they could to help her without causing her any pain. She is always clean, dressed and clean clothes, and in a good mood when I come to visit. The staff to patient ratio seems extremely high, and the executive director is very approachable. I would refer my other clients here in this part of DFW without thinking twice. What a wonderful secret.

Much like the reviews below, the care is sub par. He has had diarrhea since being there and has been left to sit in a soiled diaper for hours on end. Out of desperation he called 911 to come take him to the hospital, and was yelled at by the nurse on duty for doing so, even though they still did not attend to his needs. He hasn't been receiving his medication, nor meals on a regular basis. I don't know if this place is understaffed or overworked, but they have a responsibility of duty of care, and it is not being met. I told my cousin to document everything! This place should get an inspection, it is sad to mistreat people who are in a vulnerable position and need help.

***BEWARE***IF YOU LOVE YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS, DO NOT SEND THEM HERE***…read moreMy mother was transfered to this rehabilitation center from Mid Cities Fort worth hospital as she was recovering from pneumonia but still having difficulty breathing. We were very concerned from the beginning regarding their Covid-19 practices due to her also being a cancer patient and reached out to them prior but with good response. Upon arriving, my mother was transported to a room and left for three hours without anybody checking on her. Her "help" button did not work and may have needed battery replacement. The entire time she could hear screaming and crying coming from multiple patients throughout the clinic. An elderly lady in the room next to her had fell and not only pushed the panic alarm, but was also screaming for help. It took a little over an hour for anybody to go check on the elderly lady. The "employees" spent 45 minutes cleaning up her scrapes and told her, "we will be back to check on you tomorrow." The elderly lady began to scream telling them she is in pain and she feels that she may have broken her ribs. The employees continued to just tell her they will check on her tomorrow. Finally an "employee" serving dinner noticed my mother in the room and asked if she had eaten. When she replied no, the lady then walked into a room next to her and grabbed a food plate that belonged to another patient which did not eat their own food, however, the grilled cheese and oatmeal was cold from sitting out in their room. After she reached out to us, and we made a complaint with the front desk, an "employee" made their rounds to check on her (remember she is here for having complications breathing) They offered her a new plate which my mother responded she would rather them check on the poor lady next door that is screaming in agony and was refused additional help. Immediately they entered the ladies room and informed her they will call an ambulance to transfer her for x-rays at the hospital. At this time my mother called us again to demand us take her out of this place. My father immediately rushed to the unit to have her released, yet she was not even registered in the system yet (after 4 hours). While he was sitting outside for 45 minutes as they tried to harass my mother into staying, he met another lady outside who was experiencing the same outcome from her daughter who was 31 and suffering from spinal cancer. This poor lady who suffers from immobility was in this rehabilitation center for 1.5 hours without a single person checking on her. This place should be shut down immediately- it is an old, dirty place that anybody who cares for their family should never keep them there! We will be reporting to anyone that will listen. SAVE YOUR LOVED ONES AND GET THEM OUT!!!!
