The media center is so gorgeous and big they have a ton of books. And once again I love argyle middle school!

Kids do not come here, Parents don't send your kids here, first off the teachers don't seem to care…read moreabout the kid because they expect to know everything instantly, next up they also put underperforming or failing students who have very low grades in higher classes to make them "know everything" but it instead makes them frustrated or more if they already were and I don't blame them, also the good teachers seem to be leaving this school which is just terrible but don't blame them the kids in this school are absolutely idiotic and foolish they get mad over the simplest things ever, and they are hypocritical they say this school sucks even though they contributing to it by acting childish. Even though most of the reason why this school sucks is because of the kids just a lot the teachers also suck the academics are bad and I'm just sitting in class watching my classmates be disrespectful and me just wanting to learn and wanting to leave this school so badly, I hope I can switch schools one day so I never have to step a foot into this building ever again.

After going to good counsel, I can say it's the worst catholic high school to send your child to…read more The "deans" are some of the rudest and careless people you will ever meet and i think everyone at the school would agree. There were times I would say hi to them, and instead of being nice, they would respond rudely or try to find something I was doing wrong. Yes, it is their job, but you can be decent about it. The rules are extremely strict, which caused me to feel anxious just walking into the school, scared I'd mess one thing up. They don't allow you to be on your phone, no matter what time of the school day it is. I received a detention (which is on Saturday mornings) because my mom was texting me about my grandmothers health, updating me on her surgery. They don't care what the reason is, even if it's something understandable. They block cell service throughout the school to prevent this, which is honestly scary if something were to ever happen in the building. The deans make it there lifes goal to shit on every student no matter when or where. Some teachers are very good at good counsel, but many are careless. I had teachers not grade my work for multiple weeks, which caused me to be stressed about my grade the whole quarter. Another thing is that the food is horrible. They make it seem so good during shadow visits, tours, etc. The food is of poor quality, and there were times it wasn't even warm. The school throws problems under the rug that involve staff that affect the students who go there, lying to everyone about the true reasons things happen to make the school seem better. Lying in public announcements and not valuing the catholic values is something good counsel does really well. Sure, they offer mass daily, but the staff lacks in truly keeping the values. The school supports homosexuality to a point where it seems more drastic than public schools. Supporting that as a school is something that should be implied, but the way good counsel does it is too much, which makes students feel uncomfortable. From hearing the staff is seriously considering gender nutural bathrooms and that they have pride flags in rooms within the school is something I do not think a catholic school should promote as much as they do. The future of this school does not look good if you are trying to send your child to a school to avoid these things, which is a reason I went there because they made it seem so different than it is during shadow days and tours.

Good school academically but it is a very elitist and cliquey school. The rules are very strict and…read moreI did not have a great experience as a student there.

The school has many special traditions, an excellent Montessori curriculum, and wonderful faculty and staff. Our oldest is now on the middle school program for seventh and eighth graders, and is excited to tell us about his day which is a rare treat from a pre-teen! Our younger is in the upper elementary class that includes 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, and he is learning new skills daily while having the opportunity to help younger students while himself getting support from older students. The setting is idyllic and in winter the sledding hill is legendary. Highly recommend Mater Amoris.
