Disclaimer: This was my first time at a Greyhound Track. In order to get over a horrible sun burn Lauren E. and I decided to give this place a try. I've been to a couple of Horse Tracks before, but I had no idea what to really expect. The only thing I knew of Dog Tracks I had learned from The Simpsons. We showed up to a Saturday Matinée of races and paid the $2 entry fee to get it. The place is a little run down, but clean. The people at the counter were INCREDIBLY helpful, letting us know how to place bets (It had been a while). Because Ms. E. had never been to a track before we went to the information desk and the lady there must have spent a full 15 minutes explaining everything she could about placing bets, how to read a program, and even how she personally decided which dogs to bet on. The lower level is all benches and blacktop with betting counters. The upstairs is box-seats, as well as an indoor area with poker tables, a bar, and a restaurant. Everything but the poker tables have a view of the race track, but there are enough TV's around that you can see the races at almost any time. Getting a drink in the restaurant was a good way to beat the heat and still be able to place bets (there were betting counters everywhere). We were just placing $2 bets on each race, but having a great time doing so. I've been coming for the poker for about 10 years. They have mostly 1/2 games and also some table games - Ultimate Texas Holdem, 3 card poker, War, and Pai Gaw. The holdem games are some of the best in Florida. 1-3 plays like 2-5. Rarely a 2/5 game is played (mostly Friday and Saturday). Even rarer is PLO. Tournaments are every night and are tough to win. Up to 40-50 players on Wednesday or Sunday tourneys. I feel the games are fair and well run. 75% are locals or regulars. I would consider the tables mostly loose aggressive - a lot of action on most days. Well run for a small room. Food - burger and grilled chicken Cesar are good. Specials are sometimes good - Flank steak and Chicken Alfredo. No free drinks except coffee. read more

Do NOT go to Dog tracks! This dogtrack in particular a few years back, 32 of its dogs were found dead but authorities and were found to of been starved to death and died of dehydration. These dogs are mistreated and neglected for years and years before they decide to retire them and when they do so, they just kill them. Please educate yourself on dog racing and I promise you will never go to one again! read more

Had a fun time at the track with friends and family. Short drive over from PCB. Tonight there was 16 total races that started at 6:30. The Staff was friendly and the place was pretty clean overall. So, so place for simulcast betting. No live races until May through September. A little dingy inside. Cashiers were super friendly though. Some of the best fun times I ever had were at this park. I love, Love , Love to bet! The track here is one of the best I have seen in Florida. There is a Restaurant up stairs, and an all night poker room,, and bar,,,,,,,, which is extremely large. The view is wonderful,,, and the summer skies there are breath taking. They have a snack stands on the floor level,,, and many places to sit... many people love to stand at the gates to watch the start and finish of the greyhounds. I seen a few reviews,,, they certainly are nothing like mine, I would have to say that my love of betting has much to do with my love of Ebro,,, but not totally,,, this is a very fun place to go on any count! read more
