It was okay. The bar was pricey. The games were normal card games. We played for a little while and left while we were up a little (which is rare for me in any type of casino). The interior and outside are fairly plain. I thought the whole affair would still be fancier and more exciting that it was - but we had fun for the time we were there. I might stop in again while driving by - but I wouldn't make a trip to Gretna just for the gambling. It might be better for someone who is really into poker - it is a legal way to get your poker fix. But, If I am going to travel to a casino, then I am going to build it into another trip - maybe a trip to biloxi or the Hard Rock in Tampa.

I am not entirely familiar with the laws in Alabama, but the smell of cigarette smoke is inescapable. They say they don't allow smoking in the restaurant, but the smoke seeps in from the casino. You bet $1.05 and win 4cent. You play hard to get a bonus and after getting to the bonus it pays you nothing. I have lost so much money trying to catch community prize(7s) and bells and nothing, you can play all month trying to catch community prize and still end up with nothing because if you are not there and logged into a machine you're not eligible. I think if you have played all month and lost xxx amount of money, you should be eligible for community prize.( Instead 5 or 10$ free play). If You lose over hundreds a month no matter what you should be eligible for community prize wether you are there or not. And last but not least I know a duck when I see one , I used to be one.Playing with a number is a risk factor anyway, Because that's how they know who spend what and who to let win. You should not have to play with a number unless you want , (like at a real casino.) I have lost and I also have won. 1. you shouldn't have to play with a number 2. If you are in the building and have been logged out no longer then 5 minutes prior to community prize you should still be eligible. 3. If you logged out to go play bingo you should still be eligible for community prize (10mins). 4. If you have played within the month which community prize fall you should be eligible . 5.Who ever is over this gaming really need to take a look and see why is a number necessary to play with because even the online gaming does allow you to play with a number. I believe the number is a disadvantage to most, and advantage also to management team to let certain individuals be there when the community prize goes off. 6.The State Attorney & Governor must be getting their cut under the table to allow this kind of gaming to go on in Alabama where they want even legalize lottery, (ijs) 7. Take away the numbers and make it fair for everyone the same number used to play bingo should be the same number used to cash out at kiosk. 8.We all know we should play responsible and we also know you can't always win, but if you load 100$ and betting 55 cent and win only 5 times , but no more than 5$ and and not 1 bonus then you have 0$ after xxx number of spins something in my spirit just don't sit right. ( Any one have played will understand what I'm talking about.) 9. Gambling is Gambling but this is robbery without using a weapon. 10.Will I go or play online again. No time soon until they get a better setup, because when I telling you The Crossing At Big Creek will have you looking like a long mouth fox, after taking all your money chasing a community prize. When I tell you from last month 4/2026 til today 5/5/2026 they have took in more money within this 2 months then they ever have in 2 months (a record high for the creek) , because everyone has been chasing community prize . I heard one lady say she had lost so much she didn't know how she was going to pay her bills, I heard someone else say why they doing me like this, it's a different hurt when you chasing something and then after the chasing someone else ends up with it cause you done spent all your money trying to catch community prize now you broke after playing all month , then someone come in and play one day and catch the community prize ( 7s) you been building up all month and you get nothing. That's why if you have played within that month like I stated earlier you should be eligible for community prize. These are just my thoughts, everyone will not have the same thoughts and experience. Your number might be hit . And to management please stop cutting the machine down. Yesterday I was there got on a machine and every time I would win the machine would glitch, but when I didn't win it wouldn't glitch. I'm talking about the whole machine from top to bottom screen would glitch. But this duck just quacked right on out the door after that last 100$ I was willing to lose,(it eat it up so fast.) that's what really made me realize chasing community prize will have a lot of PEOPLE messed up.

My uncle and I have been making a two-hour trip to Wind Creek locations in Alabama for months, and what we've experienced is beyond frustrating--it's a consistent pattern that feels completely stacked against players. When you factor in the time, fuel, and money just to get there, the experience is flat-out unacceptable. The payouts are consistently terrible. Not just "we had a bad night"--I'm talking about repeated trips, across weekdays and weekends, where machines barely hit at all. You can walk the entire floor and see the same thing: people visibly frustrated, hardly anyone winning, and machines that feel like they're designed to take and never give back. Out of all the times we've gone, there was only one stretch--around February--that the machines seemed to pay anything back. Every other visit has followed the same pattern of extremely low or nonexistent payouts. Here's the bigger issue that people need to understand: Alabama does NOT have traditional casino regulation or oversight like other states. These aren't fully regulated gaming environments with enforced payout standards and transparency. That lack of accountability shows, and it's the players who pay the price. If you're already driving any significant distance, do yourself a favor and go to another state where casinos are actually regulated, audited, and required to meet fair payout standards. At least there, you know there's some level of oversight protecting the customer. Bottom line: save your time, save your money, and avoid Wind Creek casinos in Alabama altogether. There are far better--and far more transparent--options elsewhere.

First off here are the 2 drawbacks. 1) the elevators do make it a bit challenging so you will need to build in extra time (15 min). If people wouldn't ride it down to go up it would help. 2) parking is frustrating unless your condo has reserved parking there are few open spots but there is overflow parking near the area. Here are the benefits and strengths: 1) The ocean views from any room are spectacular and beach access is close and easy. (Remember you must wear your wristband). 2) The pool area is fun, great seating close to the pool, beach view, tables, and near the hot tub or bars. (Don't be inconsiderate by throwing a bunch of towels on multiple chairs then leaving). 3) There are good food and drink options on site by the pool, we ordered pizza, chicken tenders & fries, (the homemade ranch was good), pineapple piña colada's and mango daiquiri. 4) Morning and lunchtime coffee, donuts, ice cream, and fresh pineapple are available at the Cafe. 5) Pineapple Willy's is right next door if you want something more, and there is beach umbrella and chairs for additional charge. So if you're keeping score, the pros outweigh the cons. Regardless, enjoy your time with your loved ones at the beach.

We arrived at 11 PM and the first room we were given was honestly alarming. The vent was falling off the wall, the AC unit was falling apart, the furniture was rusty, the door was dirty, and the privacy curtain had a rip in it. You could literally see through it from outside. We changed rooms three times and every single room was unacceptable. The sheets were stiff and uncomfortable, loaded with starch. Wallpaper was peeling. Our door barely closed. The iron didn't work. The shower pan was not properly installed and you could feel it lifting off the foundation with every step. There was mold in the shower. Despite having the do not disturb sign on our door, housekeeping still came in and dropped off towels but never made the beds. On top of all that, guests at the pool were loud and obnoxious until 1 AM. I called the front desk 5 times within one hour to get someone to handle it and not a single call was answered. The room next to us also had a 5 AM alarm going off in an unoccupied room. To top it off, the breakfast buffet was $25 per person for a bare minimum spread of eggs, bacon, yogurt, and granola. Nothing about this place justifies the price. The lobby is newly renovated and the website paints a beautiful picture. But what's behind those doors tells a completely different story. This place is the definition of catfish. For $528 I could've stayed somewhere truly five star. Never again.

I asked her to slow down because my hearing isn't great and she was talking way too fast. She , literally, rolled her eyes and continued to the end of her speech at which time I had a room key and a pink square of paper with numbers on it that I had no idea was for. Not a great first impression. Fortunately this was a one off experience and the remainder of our stay was perfect. The resort is beautiful. The pool area was great. Our room was generously sized and very well appointed. (I still recommend all nice hotels stop buying those packets for the coffee maker with powdered creamer and that horrible pink stuff for sweetener. You're better than that.) The staff, no matter who or where we bumped into them, was friendly, engaging, and helpful. Housekeeping, maintenance, lobby, bars, food service. 100% awesome. Literally, 10 seconds after calling the front desk to complain, it was turned off. That wasn't even time for security to come up. So how did the person know to turn it off? Was there a camera in my room? Was the phone bugged??? The second incident happened at exactly 6am the next morning when an alarm started going off in my room. Someone had set an alarm on the clock and the cleaning staff never bothered to turn it off. Then, 5 minutes later, the room next door had their alarm go off and it was so loud I could hear it through the wall. I had to listen to that for 30 minutes as the people next door who had been partying and drinking were passed out asleep. Then the gentleman in the room to my right sat on his patio the entire time smoking weed. The front desk absolutely refused to give a discount. I think the ownership here is very cheap and stingy. When it came to the room, we had no robes. The balcony door was completely missing a lock. Also, the patio doors are incredibly heavy and slam shut so you will be listening to that the entire stay. Same thing for the front doors. Lastly, the floor was uneven which would be very easy to twist your foot if you stepped on that spot incorrectly as it slopes down. I found everyone at the front desk to be incompetent, annoying, and off putting with the exception of curly haired Bella (the pretty one). We spent a lot of money and I think it was a total rip off! Perhaps it's a different story if you are able to get a suite. We were in a crummy room facing the gulf.
