Stopped here for a drink this afternoon. Kind of a fun, qwerky bar. They had open mike night. We sat outside, the weather was great. But the place is wide open. Dog friendly, which is a must for us and our needy dog. It seemed like more locals than visitors like us. A fun place to get a drink.

Great little "dive bar". I mean it's an old auto shop building converted into a bar. Looks like a dive bar but seating is actually really nice. Live music most of the time. Top notch in house sound system. Outside area with cornhole and that kind of stuff. Food truck most of the time and they brew their own beer. Local family owned and operated, if you don't have fun there it might be a you problem.

What a cool dive bar. The nicest place to chill in Appalach. Owner Ronnie is cool too.

A fun place! Live music on weekends, cold beer, friendly folks -- we've visited a few times and always had a great time.

Something has to be said if a place is open for more than 100 years. And was impressed for a small town restaurant. Nice decor, good service, and impressive food. Ordered the Fresh catch of the day and Chicken marsala pasta with a side salad. Both were very flavorful. Tip for first timers - the restaurant is upstairs when you first walk in.

Fresh Catch of the day: spinach, artichoke, tomato, balsamic rice, lemon caper sauce. Fish: Red Snapper (catch of the day) (or last weeks catch but frozen) I forgot to take a picture: what they got right - the ingredients shown on the menu. They got this perfect. Fish: not so much. They have access to the freshest fish in the world, and that poor slab of fish looked pan seared on a dry pan, unseasoned, and I'm pretty sure it was frozen up like a hashbrown patty. Thank goodness for all of the other ingredients which helped me get down the rest of it. Desserts: mousse cake and pecan tartlet. Mousse cake definitely very rich and dense 3 out of 5 Pecan tartlet with icecream - 5 out of 5 Service was nice and Ambiance they had both inside and outside seating. It was ok

The service was excellently provided by a very nice and friendly server who had superb recommendations for appetizers and entries. The 1/2 order crab dip was a meal in itself, it was more than adequate for three people. The fried shrimp, as always, was excellent. A very light batter, fried to perfection. The blackened redfish, with artichoke hearts, grape tomatoes, capers with spinach and crème sauce, over a bed of rice, was one of the best fish entries I've had, anywhere. Just fyi, if you want a nice casual place to go and have a few beers, sandwiches, whatever, this is the place. If you want the fine dining, in a casual atmosphere, this is the place also. You can order anything off the menu from the Owl Cafe, which is upstairs. Their "finer dining" establishment. Go and enjoy.

We tried the crab dip and it was pretty good (tasted like hummus?) with house-made chips. I got a cup of gumbo that was warm (not hot) and a bit salty, but still enjoyable. We were so impressed that we recommended this place to multiple people and were genuinely excited to come back last Sunday. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The service was noticeably worse, the beer selection was extremely limited compared to before, and the food was honestly some of the worst seafood we've had in years. We ordered the fried calamari and the mixed grilled seafood plate. The calamari was chewy, flavorless, and the batter had an unpleasant texture. The mixed seafood plate was even worse - the oysters looked, smelled, and tasted awful, and the fish, shrimp, stuffed crab and scallops were completely bland. Even the fried okra, which should be an easy Southern staple, was disappointing. We left wondering if they changed chefs or management because the difference from our first experience was shocking. Even my mom, who is far from a picky eater, could barely eat her food. It's genuinely upsetting because this used to be a place we loved and enthusiastically recommended to others. Sadly, after this experience, we won't be returning.
