The fabulous teachers show attention to detail and professionalism in everyway, always with patience,love, respect and kindness. We really feel like we are part of the family there. Every day my little one continues to grow in confidence, independence and is always learning new skills. As I said I can not recommend this wonderful school enough! But the second she transitioned into the toddler room, everything fell apart. She came home with undocumented bite marks -- yes, bite marks that no one noticed or cared to report. She was sent home in soiled diapers almost every single day. The staff used the wrong diapers, wrong wipes, and even applied diaper rash cream when I had specifically instructed them to use coconut oil. That was never authorized. It felt like my directions as a parent were ignored. The turnover is out of control -- teachers come and go constantly because they are clearly underpaid and unsupported. The director changes so often that there is no leadership or accountability. The classrooms are dirty, the toys are old, and kids are always sick because the place is not properly cleaned. And if that wasn't enough, their billing practices are a complete disaster. Despite my child being on a voucher, they suddenly decided I owed them $4,000 because they didn't process payments correctly for months. Then they had the nerve to demand I pay it all at once, as if their incompetence was somehow my fault. At the end of the day, I pulled my daughter out because I could no longer trust them to keep her safe, clean, or cared for. I put her in an at-home daycare and the difference is night and day -- she is calmer, happier, and thriving. Guidepost Montessori in Marlborough is nothing more than a glorified, overpriced daycare that fails children and families. They are disorganized, careless, and completely unprofessional. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Save yourself the stress, the money, and the heartache -- your child deserves so much better.

After searching the area for what we considered the type of learning environment we wanted our child in we were very disappointed...Then one day my wife called and said "I've found the place! You have to see it..." and it was Goddard School in Northboro. It was worth every penny. My child was immersed in a social and educational environment that had her more than prepared for what "big kid school" had waiting for her. Goddard has excellent structure. They have detailed weekly themes and plans and daily reports that can be as involved as you need. How much your child ate...bathroom trips...sleeping...you name it. They have a great classroom setup divided by age...from wee little babies all the way to the big kids on their way to school in a year. They even have transitional periods for the kids to adjust to new rooms and they try their best to send kids up in small groups together. How great is it when your child makes great friends at such a young age. The place was always clean. The bathrooms were clean...The outdoor play areas were varied and exciting for the kids. Next time you see an open house step in an check it out. Your child will some day thank you for it... It sure beats sitting them in front of a tv for 4 years until they start school... Nothing is better than a child rolling into kindergarten reading and writing and doing math! Goddard had safe, isolated computers in every room for the kids to learn PC skills and play learning games on. Putt Putt saves the Zoo will forever be synonymous with computer time for my child. Your results may vary...but the odds are greatly improved with Goddard School.

At first we were hesitant to make the move because it seemed risky with the school being so new and with no local reputation other than good word of mouth at their other school in Boston. We were excited about the unique offering of daily music/instrumental instruction and French integration, plus the classes are so small right now, so we went for it, despite the hefty price tag. I'm happy to report that our daughter is so much happier in this environment, and the teacher in the primary classroom has far exceeded our expectations. She is an amazing and positive force in the classroom, she has been challenging our daughter in new creative ways every day, and as we learn about the Montessori lessons & activities we are starting to understand why our daughter is so happy and fulfilled each day. Unexpected bonuses- the "valet" service is cool. The head of school comes out to our car to walk the kids inside each morning, which is a nice perk (plenty of time to come inside at pickup though). I was initially put off by the idea of school uniforms until we tried it. It takes all the drama out of a little girl getting dressed in the morning, and it seems to put her into a calm & content "school mode". Can't explain it. We still have plenty of time to wear tutus and princess dresses when we get home. We are really excited to see how the school will grow over time.
