I've been seeing Megan for 3 years now and I'll never trust another person with my hair again!!!…read more I've been getting extensions off and on for the last 10 years. I've had all types of extensions - tape-ins, k-tips, and wefts. I can speak from my own 10 year extension journey when I say it is very important to do your research before getting extensions. When I started seeing Megan, she spent an immense amount of time showing me where my where my previous hair dresser had damaged my hair and showed me how I can take better care of my hair. I had literal bald spots. She focused on getting my REAL hair healthy before we even entered into extension territory. Im happy to report that after a year of extensions with Megan, my hair is actually HEALTHIER and (shockingly) LONGER!!!!! than it was before getting extensions. Megan is the only stylist I've seen that has been able to keep my hair as healthy as it was pre-extensions. She truly cares about your hair health at the end of the day. Plus, every time I tell someone I have extensions they're SHOCKED because of how well Megan can blend them into your real hair. On top of that, any time I come to Megan with an issue she always has a solution. I went through a phase where my hair was getting greasy extremely fast no matter how often or not I would wash it. Megan recommended hair care products that helped my scalp balance back out within a week. And the cherry on top is a glass of wine while she pampers you

I normally do not leave one-star reviews, but I feel other women should fully understand what they…read moremay be signing up for before committing to extensions with Roots and Rows. My experience with Megan was extremely disappointing and ultimately left my hair damaged and my confidence shaken. From early on, the install felt painful and overly tight. The sectioning appeared uneven and what appeared to be improper, causing constant pulling, discomfort, itching, and visible stress on my scalp. I even noticed thinning and bald spots developing not long after the installation. Appointments were often rough and uncomfortable. During services, my hair was pulled aggressively, my neck and ears were burned while blow drying, and after color services I experienced significant breakage and shedding. Instead of feeling cared for as a client, I felt dismissed whenever I tried communicating concerns. Conversations often became defensive, with blame redirected back onto me rather than addressing the issues I was experiencing. By my last appointment, I truly did not even want to go back, but I knew the extensions needed to come out. To avoid conflict, I scheduled another future appointment knowing I would not return. What added to my disappointment was that we had previously agreed on a trade arrangement that should have made that final appointment free, but that agreement was not honored. Instead, I was charged $85 for roughly 35 minutes of removing the extensions and trimming my hair. I had specifically asked for only a slight trim with the front pieces remaining around collarbone length, but over two inches were cut from the front. After everything my hair had already gone through, this was upsetting and felt careless. The biggest relief came when I finally removed the extensions. The constant pain and itching immediately subsided. Since then, I've spoken with multiple hairstylists who encouraged me to stop the extension process and focus on restoring the health of my hair. What hurts most is feeling like I trusted someone with my hair who did not prioritize its health. I have lost a significant amount of hair throughout this process, and it has deeply affected my confidence. Considering the high prices charged, I expected professionalism, care, and healthy installation practices -- and unfortunately that was not my experience. I also felt Megan did not demonstrate the level of expertise I expected for the prices being charged. After knowing Megan for over 15 years, this entire experience has been incredibly disappointing. The before-and-after condition of my hair speaks for itself. I strongly encourage anyone considering extensions here to thoroughly research extension methods, installation techniques, and long-term hair health before committing.

This location has a pretty small parking lot, so i was very lucky to grab a spot, but with all the construction on Ivanhoe at the moment, parking might be a challenge. I had such a nice experience here. As someone who has always struggled with finding a stylist I left Theory so happy. Dawn took such great care of me and really listened to the feedback and styling I was looking for. I have always had really long and thick hair and she did a fantastic job with the things I wanted. The staff is very welcoming and they offer you a selection of drinks such as coffee, soda wine and water. I highly recommend checking it out.

My stylist was rushed and distracted in the middle of a process with another client. Everyone in here has an air of being better than everyone else. It's very uncomfortable & crowded. And they charge sooo much for these stuck up stylists. I was charged over $100 for trimming my ends and my bangs on dry hair. (No wash, or styling) I was really looking for a long term stylist/salon but this place felt pretentious & overpriced. And after reception kept changing my appointments i decided to never go back. What a mess.

He really listened to the type of haircut I was looking for. He analyzed photos of what I liked and didn't like about my previous haircuts. He thoroughly explained in detail, the way he was going to cut my hair and the result I could expect. While he was doing my hair, I recognized the cutting methods that my former stylist in New York City used, to achieve similar results. I appreciate that Ryan suggested giving me a moisturizing treatment (due to bleaching damage from the past), as well as recommending products to use on my hair at home, in order to regain my hair health. (With no pressure to buy) I enjoyed Ryan's friendly, personality.Ryan is a stellar professional and a talented artist! My hair turned out exactly the way I wanted! (The way I always had living in NYC....the way I haven't been able to get with haircuts in other Florida salons, since moving here a year and a half ago!) THANK YOU RYAN! I have already booked my next appointment with him.

She was quoted $198, which seemed reasonable, so she booked it. At the appointment, I clearly told the stylist, Liz, that I wanted an all-over champagne blonde color. She asked if I wanted balayage, and both my daughter and I specifically said no. As the appointment went on, I became increasingly uncomfortable because the stylist never explained what she was doing. She began backcombing my hair, leaving large sections unbleached, and wasn't touching my roots. Another stylist, Alyssa, came over during the process and was rude, which made the experience even more uncomfortable. At that point, I just wanted to leave. Then, after rinsing the bleach, Liz dyed my roots brown -- something I never asked for or approved. The biggest shock came at checkout. Instead of the quoted $198, my daughter was charged $451, with no communication or approval of additional services or costs beforehand. My daughter still tipped despite how upset and uncomfortable we both felt. She later emailed the owner explaining that the services performed were not what we requested and that no extra charges were discussed, but the entire experience felt misleading and unprofessional. I would not recommend this salon. Poor communication, unexpected charges, and an uncomfortable environment made this a terrible experience.
