The food here is usually very good with average prices, however many of the casual staff give the impression of wanting to be somewhere else although with a high turnover this may no longer be the case. Taj Mahal is a damn fine one, and possibly the best in Lanark depending on what you get from them. My son swears by their donner meat (with chips, obviously) and every time I have a curry from them, it's spot on. This time, I tried something different from their menu, I had a pizza. Blow me down and call me Betty if it wasn't beautiful. 10" pepperoni, with a side of wonderful, crunchy chips. Honestly, it's enough to make me forever give up cooking and just phone things in, if I lived in a world where I'd won the lottery. Having said that, it's fairly reasonable pricing, including delivery and the food arrives quick, freshly made and hot... plus the menu is pretty good, even allowing fro the cheesy puns in there. If you're in or near Lanark (then first of all, my apologies) you could do much, much worse than eating from here.
