I called and spoke to a rep who told me he would call me back with a policy quote. He never called back. I called his office and left 1 message with the secretary and 2 voice mails to call me back. I have used Eaton Insurance for my home and recently for my auto insurance. My dealings go back to the early 2000's. I have had only great experiences with them. When I couldn't get one auto insurance company to call me back they did immediately. I made the mistake of filling out a form online that went to a clearinghouse and they that company sold my info so I got emails for months. With Eaton it was one call to Giovanni, he gave me a quote and got my insurance taken care of in a matter of minutes. He has answered all my questions and is always pleasant to deal with. They have my business and I'm no longer shopping for insurance. 5stars from this happy customers. read more

After two years of condo coverage with no claims, my insurance company sent me a renewal with a 50%+ premium increase. I contacted my agent, Eaton, and was told an associate would look into my concerns about this ridiculous increase but that it was apparently due to rate increase (this was noted on the quote but, having retired from the insurance industry myself, I know such an increase is highly unlikely). Nevertheless, I was told someone would be getting back to me soon. After hearing from no one for more than a week, I again called Eaton. The same person answered the phone and again told me someone would call me back. After a few more days with no contact, I had to take it upon myself to shop the policy and contacted five highly-rated local agencies. I eventually settled on an agency and purchased new coverage, all with no further contact from Eaton. Then, just a week before my old policy expired, I got a payment due notice from my old insurance company - but it was for only a small increase in premium over my earlier policy. Curious, I called the company and was told they made a mistake on my first billing and the 50%+ premium increase was indeed way out of line, as I suspected. And they told me they had sent the correction to Eaton. But I never was told any of this, even though I tried to raise the issue with the agency, and as a result I had to hunt around and literally spend days finding a good alternative to the coverage I had. I made the agency aware of all this and, while they are sincerely apologetic, they do not seem to accept that this sort of thing happens due to any issues in how they oversee renewals or respond to customer concerns. For this reason, I must say I couldn't be more disappointed in them as an agency and certainly will never use them again myself or recommend them to others. read more

Found a new agent. Eaton Insurance is the worst! Car rates kept going up with no reason why. My new agent got me a rate at $1700/year instead of $2600/year. Eaton never returned my calls after repeatedly promising to search for new insurance. Lower rates for the consumer meant a lower commission for Eaton, there was no incentive for them to lower my rates. Same with home insurance. Everyone's rates went up this year because of all the supposed fraudulent claims. Interesting that I found insurance elsewhere much less than what I was paying with Eaton. Again, these people don't care about you! Pathetic customer service! read more
