We had decided that we would try to visit Eataly in any city that we visited that had a store. The brand EATALY is the combination of two English words: EAT and ITALY. So, off to the port of Genoa we went. Eataly Genova is the place dedicated to high quality, Italian food. It is so much more than a supermarket. Eataly takes up the top floor of the Millo Building. You can dine at tables overlooking the sea and the Porto Antico. They offer many themed restaurants: Pasta, Pizza, Meat, Fish, Cold Cuts & Cheeses, and Vegetables, each with a new menu every day, or in the gourmet restaurant, The Marin. The supermarket offers all things Italian ranging from fresh fruits, vegetables, cheeses, pastries, chocolates, coffee, appliances and so much more. It is so much fun to walk thru and see all the goodies.

Came here for lunch after the hop on hop off tour. It was a slight wait but got seated within 10 minutes. We tried the Margherita pizza and pesto pasta. Both were good. Service was good as well. We have eaten at the Eataly in Chicago, New York and Rome. We like this pizza here the best.

Absolutely a must if you are staying in Genoa. Produce/grocery and restaurants all in one spot. We dined on the top floor, where we had the tasting/Chef choice menu and great views while enjoying our pairings. The food and presentation was top notch. The flavors and taste we had was phenomenal. Highly recommend for those visiting this iconic seaside city.

Eataly delivered the package to my house. We found most of items inside the box were damaged. We called many times to their customer service number but they never called back. The service is absolutely rubbish. I will never recommend to anyone to buy or order any food.

Great simple food. Very quick service! Price wise very reasonably. Afterwards when you're going to shop in market you can get 10% discount!

Enjoyed this location, port of Genoa. Multiple levels with great views of the harbor. There is a lovely indoor seated area- food made to order or for those in a hurry, but your groceries and go. I stayed for a glass of white and caught a beautiful sunset. Staff is friendly speaking both Italian and English. Plus free wifi! The cheese and meats were perfect with my wine.

I just recently visited Rome and I must say the cuisine is authentic. The prosciutto pizza was exquisite

Service was horrible. Our waiter was rude. But the food was good and the view was beautiful looking out at the harbor.

Not very pleased. Was expectig to have spectacular Pasta with authentic pesto, but instead had a disapointing lunch.

My first visit to any Eataly was in Chicago, which I love, so when I found out that we were heaving a work dinner at the Eataly (Il Marin) in Genoa, I was thrilled.

We also tried their special of the day which translated to "nut pasta" but essentially was a cacio e pepe with pine nuts, amazing, but can not compare to the pesto pasta. If you come here, expect a wait because this place is loved by tourists and locals. I'd recommend any pasta dish because it's all homemade and seasoned so well. Their other offerings are average, nothing to note as a recommendation.

Trattoria Ugo is a completely legit and ultra-authentic eatery with a clientele that's more than 90 precent locals - that's how good the food is! The food here is nothing short of amazing and the portion sizes are so generous that it's almost impossible to go away hungry :-) Everything on the menu is wonderful, but I highly recommend the pasta with pesto. There's also a surprisingly broad wine list, and their house wine is very good, and really inexpensive - it pairs very nicely with the pesto. Water (both sparlking and still) is complimentary, and the service is outstanding - you'll have an incredible meal here! Tip: The portion sizes being as large as they are, I strongly suggest you pick either one primo or one secondo; if you get both it will be very difficult to finish.

Though they didn't speak any English their ordering system was simple: choose your noodle, then your sauce, and voila! They served the food with soft dipping bread. The service was fast. The food was outstanding. The price was VERY inexpensive. The only thing you have to watch out for is water cost money in Europe even though tap water is potable. They sell you bottled water at a cost (and I'm not sure every place recycles). Most places beer and soda are cheaper than water. Thus, I got beer! Having had a long drive and wanting to get back to the AirBnB this place was a perfect location with the perfect menu for an outstanding price!
