The menu is extensive with all types of Thai cuisine ranging from curry to rice and noodle dishes. my go-to Thai dish is a Pad See Ew, which was not on the menu but the waiter told me they could make it for me off menu --what a wonderful thing to hear! He was very friendly with our group as well. The only problem was that everyone else in my party got their food except me only to find out that they forgot my order. The waiter did notice right away and assured me it would be out within minutes. Although I was a bit upset, the food made up for it. The off menu Beef Pad See Ew (£8) was very flavorful and delicious. The noodles and vegetables were seasoned very well. The dish did use a thinner, dried rice noodle (used in Pad Thai) instead of a flat, wide rice noodle. They also did not skimp on the spiciness, which I appreciated since Thai food is meant to be spicy. Overall, affordable and delicious Thai food that is great for take-aways. The space had a hipster and eccentric vibe with unique Thailand decors as well. This is a great go-to spot whenever you're craving Thai food.

This quote superbly describes this past week, as I skipped past, smushed my face against the window and all out stalked their website waiting for Ruan Siam's new sister restaurant Street Box to open. Did I learn about this little spot because I was taken aback when Ruan Siam was closed for a week during the launch? Yes. Was a week without thai take away worth it to have this little outpost right around the corner? Heck to the yes. The Lazy Gal default setting is strong in this one. Here's what we know so far: This tiny (and I mean TINY) place is run by the same folks that own Ruan Siam just up the street. They have expanded the menu and offer delivery between 6pm - 10:15pm seven days a week. They have one picnic style table and bench seating to sit in. It's small but they've done a good job with the space. They have quick meal boxes for those looking for great lunch take away in the area and are open in the afternoons. The new menu items like Pad Kee Maow (spicy rice noodle stir fry with Galangal, lemongrass, chilli and mixed vegetable) are deliciously on point. Their curries are still as bad ass as they were when Ruan Siam was dishing them out. I will be here ALL the time. More options for great thai food? Win.

The shop is building up a loyal, growing following, so it's only a matter of time before this hidden gem becomes a well known haunt. Hidden gem alert!…read more Sadly I am just discovering Spoilt for Choice. This place is a delicious mix of African and Caribbean food. I ordered for delivery and I am happy to say the food was hot and tasty. It is great that they have a wide delivery range and even though I live pretty far from their restaurant I still had my food 20 minutes before the estimated delivery time, in under an hour! The range of food here is huge, so you really have to look over their menu well. I found everything to have quality ingredients, perfect amount of spice and tang, and nothing greasy or oily. Happy to say that when you order something 'hot' it is truly hot! No wimpy heat here. The yassa and fried plantains are a dream and perfect with the jollof rice. My favourite dish is Tori Curry also known as chicken katsu curry. It's super tasty and a huge portion. I think I've ordered it three times now.

So, the food. I've ordered a range of sushi - mango maki, tuna maki and salmon maki which arrived in individual boxes each with wasabi and ginger and were really good fresh quality. My chilli tuna salad was a bit hotter than I'd thought it would be but was delicious! Previously I ordered the seabass special, which came with rice and some pretty/tasty garnishes. What really sells me on this place is the miso. You know good miso? Yeah, it's amazing. And this place does good miso that is filled with plenty of nice bits! Instead, they are delivery based (and in a few cafes in and around town). I met the enthusiastic folks behind this business in the middle of last year while organizing an event where I got to sample a few of their juices. Hailing from the land of "we'll pay $10 for juice!" ie. Vancouver, Canada, the price point here didn't scare me... I understand from making my own juice, how much produce goes into one little bottle and am happy to pay for not having to clean a juicer (never again Breville, never again...). But after that first event, The H&B Juicery sort of fell off my radar. My occasional green juice cravings were met through lunch meetings at Urban Angel and I didn't really find a strong reason to pay the big bucks for juice. ... and then I got sick. Let's make something clear: I can get sick just by SAYING the word "flu"... between chaotic hours and some fun insomnia, my immune system is completely out of whack. I'll catch something every eight weeks or so and be out for the count for a few days... this does not make for a really productive life. Enter: my new juice superheroes. So these folks have a juice called Immunity: it has lemon, turmeric, ginger, agave, black pepper and water (tastes less weird than it sounds) and this is my lifeblood when I have a cold. I get the 500ml bottle which will run you £8. Those who scoff at that price have obviously never tried to track down and then juice turmeric... I generally order this the second day of a cold and it arrives within two days. The owner is generally the gal who delivers, so I know this stuff is fresh. I will drink all £8 of that juice in one day (probably not encouraged) and it kickstarts me back into the land of the living. Case in point: I had a bottle delivered today. This morning, I blew my nose and it made me so dizzy I fell over and I couldn't sit upright for an hour... this evening: I am writing a Yelp review! Sitting up! And I drank some things! Lookit me go! It's not a miracle worker but it's not hogwash either: lemon, ginger and black pepper are tried and true cold cures. I usually grab a second day juice as well - either a green juice or the Boost: cucumber, apple, fennel, mint, ginger and lemon. Less intense but still good for sickness stuff. If you've got a stomach flu to contend with, their cashew milk is insanely good, mild enough for an upset tum and will give you the added kick of protein when you haven't eaten solid food in three days. So, you'll never find me on a juice cleanse... and I doubt i'll ever go back to juicing on the regular (though, to its credit, it did make an impact when I did) - it's simply too pricy... but anytime I have a big event, a big deadline, feel a cold coming on or am already on the sick train, this place is and will continue to be my go-to. It's way better than Lemsip.

I spent a few years in Germany in the 1990s and became hooked on a proper doner there. Ephesus just couldn't match the quality of those doners.
