They have a huge selection of great products - from fresh items to specialty and natural foods, so it's always easy to find something interesting or high quality when I stop in. One thing that really stood out recently was that they were open during a blizzard when so many other places were closed. That kind of reliability means a lot to the community and was incredibly appreciated. The staff are consistently kind, attentive, and helpful, which makes shopping there a pleasant experience every time. You can tell they care about their customers and the store. The prices are a bit on the higher end compared to larger grocery stores, but for a local market with such a great selection and such wonderful service, I personally don't mind supporting them. It's the kind of place that's worth having in the neighborhood.

I agree with other some other reviewers that the people who work there - cashiers aside who are usually very nice - can be rude and aggressive. Somehow many, not all, of the workers/managers could care less about customers versus their task at hand. The result is lack of respect that manifests in intrusive behaviors such as bumping into customers without apologizing, not moving to let customers navigate the narrow aisles and yelling/pointing while directing another worker while customer is literally right there which is akin to invading personal space. The concern is if the store's history and future potential becomes overshadowed by obnoxious behaviors and lose too many customers, over time, to stay afloat. I'm not yet ready to bail but am getting close, unfortunately, esp given alternative markets and/or online options for the same products.

I tried to explain to the employee that my friend suffers from mental issues, to please keep him there while I arrived. When I got to the store about 15 minutes later, my friend was gone. The store employee said he wanted to get to 14 st subway, so he let him go. He was found by the police in LI CITY Queens the following morning. The employee's Humanitarianism wasn't present. This used to be sweet bistro where many days and nights were shared with friends. This particular storefront is even more rare because it's not a chain and is open late, for the way working folk have needed to live here for a long time. It's not Whole Foods or Vitamin Shoppe (or whatever that chain's named), but a humble spot where the selection of vitamins, herbs, topicals and a few pantry staples probably contains exactly what you're looking for. Ask any of my neighbors what they think about your cough, sniffle or dry skin, and they'll tell you, "Go see the vitamin guy on 23rd." And you should. Because for years, he's dispensed sound counsel to a number of us whose needs aren't easily addressed by either of those aforementioned chains or that chain pharmacy who makes you summon a worker to unlock some dental floss. I'd been recovering from RSV when my husband stopped by the Vitamin Guy and told him about my lingering cough and shallow breathing. He brought home some Olbas syrup and a tincture containing a melange of herbs, half of which I was familiar as a TCM patient for a number of years. Within week one I was feeling great relief. A neighbor who'd been hit with the same condition went and had his own chat and relief success story a week after me, and unprompted, said, "Vitamin Guy saved me again!" This is but one of many ways Vitamin Guy's helped me, my husband and many neighbors over 18 years. Go see him the next time you're wondering what you can do about whatever's ailing you; he probably has some sound advice to share, and you'd be keeping the lights on amid the many otherwise darkened storefronts that don't exactly inspire confidence around greater Chelsea.

I…read morehad been eager to try their pies, as well as their full meals, but only just made it to their dimly lit, hip and happening main dining room. The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I was a big fan of both, especially the ricotta, which was so incredibly creamy. For the mains, everyone's fresh-made pasta was excellent. I ordered the Mexican street corn, which was unique, flavorful, and delicious. I also tried some of the spicy rigatoni and loved it. We ended the night with the s'mores dessert, which was rich and chocolatey. Also, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB is a huge plus! The only downside was that I lost an item during our visit. I had a really hard time finding their contact information online, so I had to go back in person to ask about it, which was a bit annoying. Ultimately, they weren't able to recover it, but the food itself was still outstanding.
