The atmosphere has a southern vibe with huge porches and porch swings etc. Great vibe from the outdoor dining area. Our waitress was wonderful and the food was some of the best of our trip. Preparation takes time so we relaxed and were reminded of some travel experiences to Asia. The interior is simple and the lamp shades definitely have had better times but why change what works? The portion of edamame we ordered was delicious but a bit small. - The sushi: absolutely perfect. Never eaten better. The green tea tasted great. Now our favorite restaurant. Stay away if you don't have time. (Afterwards we had a small ice cream nearby and a walk over the adjacent "Domplatz" in Erfurt.) Beim 2. Das Sushi was phantastisch. Haben nie besser gegessen. Perfekt.

Our daughter wanted a flour tortilla (aka plate) and as the waitress was coming back down the stairs she dropped it on the floor, picked it up and blow it off and gave it to my daughter. Needless to say, my appetite was lost. Not sure the policy here in Germany, but usually in American we don't serve food that was dropped on the ground, especially to a paying customer. This restaurant probably would not pass health codes in the US. I was afraid to eat anything else after that! In my opinion this place does not even deserve one star, but that's the lowest I could give.
