Hubby had apple cake with the mother and father of hot chocolates - imagine - a dark chocolate drink infused with muscat, ginger and cinnamon - after he recovered his socks, he had a big grin on his face. We went back this morning for breakfast, and I stuck to the excellent croissant, with butter and home-made confit (you can't call it jam), with freshly squeezed orange juice, and followed by a fresh fruit salad. Hubby had the bread basket (home-made bread). We snaffled a couple of pieces of the walnut/treacle tarty thing, which is at this moment sitting in our fridge calling to me.
