About a month ago I hired him to wash and thoroughly clean the interior of my new 2017 Highlander. This time he came by himself and worked extremely hard to complete the job in around 2.5 hours on a weekend. I loved the results. He really enjoys cars and the technical process of detailing; he owns a lot of interesting tools and cleaning products, which enable him to do things you could never do yourself with a vacuum and a car wash. After searching Yelp for an auto detailer, I reached out to Blaine about his services. We had some…read moreback and forth about getting my wife's car detailed for her birthday and after finally sending some pictures to him of her car, he gave me a call to go over the details about what services he could provide and to get me an initial quote. He also asked if we'd like to schedule a date/time, which we did. He mentioned "after 1pm" when I asked what time would be good on the day of, to which I said "great!". Well, the day arrived, and 1pm came and went. 2 pm came...and went....2:45 I send him a text thinking maybe his previous job is running long, not a big deal as we're not busy....and I don't hear anything. 3pm comes and goes. 4pm arrives and I decide to call him. Blaine picks up and when I mention we had an appointment he said he "doesn't remember booking anything out that far", but that he could "check his messages". He also mentioned he was working on another car at the moment and could try to come by afterwards, or that he could try Sunday or Monday (our appointment was on Saturday). I told him to forget about it and that we won't be using his services. If he can so easily forget an appointment with a client, and act so unworried that it was missed, that kind of insouciant attitude can easily be projected onto the work he would've provided. This is the epitome of unprofessional and I would in no way recommended Blaine for his detailing services.
