This posting will serve as a rebuttal to the comments posted by Paradise Fence that are included in…read morethe below review. Timing of the posting of this review is irrelevant as long as the fence has not been repaired and/or modified since the past work performed by Paradise Fence. It was written and submitted on a time available basis. The fence has not received any repairs or modifications since the time of the Paradise Fence work and is presently available for inspection to show the quality of work that was performed. The subject of this review is not about fence age nor is it about any comments made by the owner. It is about the end result regarding the condition of the reassembled fence. Aside from the damaged posts and with exception to the very bottom run of the fence boards all other wood could have been recoverable to create a still viable fence. But now with the random replacement of the boards not to their original locations and having resultant re-cutting of the wood to fit it is apparent that it will most likely make it difficult to rebuild the fence without having to replace considerably more wood than was originally proposed. The "good faith" statement made by the Paradise Fence representative was made with no contractual basis, merely a spoken statement. It is not guaranteed as to if this action would become valid in the future without a signed agreement between both parties. As for the replacement wood, a cost of significantly more than originally considered will most likely be incurred due to the actions of the repair listed in the above paragraph. And part of my opinion of "good faith" is based upon the initial contact with Paradise Fence after job completion via email describing the reassembled condition of the fence plus included photos and a request for a representative of Paradise Fence to visit the site to inspect the overall condition of the work performed. Subsequent to this no response or visit was received in return. As evidence to the original condition of the cedar boards on the fence prior to repair it should be noted that this section of the fence is only a part of a longer run of the fence. Visual comparison between the non-repaired and repaired portions of the fence will quickly show a significant difference in quality and the randomness of reassembly from the repair. As for the comment of the fence repair being from purely "...an esthetic issue" I cannot agree to that description fitting the current condition of the fence. The project was focused on replacing the posts and putting the fence back together in a proper and actual "aesthetic" fashion. It was not expected that extreme meticulous work had to be performed during reassembly but at least the weathered and damaged boards be reinstalled along the bottom of the fence as requested by the owner instead of "shotgunning" their locations randomly on the fence. And why was a short board that no longer fit left hanging that was hidden behind the lilac bushes? And why were the two fence posts near the end of the run cut to irregular lengths?? How can a post set in concrete that was cut too short be lengthened without cheating by adding a separate length to the top or tearing out the new post and attaching concrete??? The photos do not lie.

We were in love with the look however and decided to move forward and hold off on the garage roof. In the original consultation we asked the consultant about the roof over our kitchen which was a low grade roof. He assured us that they could shingle over it. The shingles were a 10 week minimum order since they were special order. The roofer arrived with little warning since they were scheduled to do another job but still we had guest coming in August and it was July we needed to get the roof finished. The final day of the project there was a few issues the roofers ran out of ridge shingles and a crazy rainstorm. After the rain died down the roofers cleaned up and said they'd have to finish another day. They took all the extra shingles and left. Our contract said they would repair a few of the exhaust pipes that were short, leave all excess materials and mentioned nothing about not finishing the roof over the kitchen. I got a call the following week that the ridge shingle were ordered and that they would have to wait for them to come in.. but we still had exposed ridges and it had been threatening to rain so I asked the office when the exposed ridge would be covered.. a week later someone arrived to that. I also went to remove a satellite on our kitchen roof that had been disconnected and left haphazardly and noticed the roof over the kitchen hadn't been completed. Another call no eta on the shingles and now they were telling me they didn't do flat roofing. It took a MONTH to get ridge coverage and the foreman said that they would check out the roof over the kitchen when we came back it wasn't completed nor did the company call me. Be very careful before you enter contact with this company service and answers were less than great and they took all the extra supplies when it was stated they belonged to us

We did a Google search on anyone who could do an emergency repair. Few options popped up, and even though it was advertised that our first option would do emergency repair, no one was at the business to answer the phone and the answering machine didn't provide an after hours number. On to the next, Hieb's Garage. He answered on the first ring! We told him what was going on, pulley wire is hanging outside of the garage, in between panels, panels are crooked, etc. Within the hour, he was at our house. He said it was a good thing that we DIDN'T pull the release handle, as things were definitely jammed. He did his magic, fixed both cables, oiled all the rollers, tightened the wire around the drums and ensured everything worked as it should. He was thorough, professional and friendly. He even gave us a military discount. We definitely recommend his service and will use him in tbe future if another emergency should happen. This summer, I called Dusty's Sprinklers to our home because one of our zones was staying on while…read moreall the other zones ran and we were missing one sprinkler head. The guy came, replaced the sprinkler head, looked at the zone that stayed on all throughout the running of the other zones and told us we'd need a new brain box and quoted us $1,000. That didn't sound right to me, so I called Ron Hall for a second opinion. Ron Hall sprinklers just left. It took all of 3 minutes for Darryl to look at my system and tell me that whoever blew out the system in the fall (Dusty's) left a valve head open. He didn't even have to replace the valve head, just closed it! $1,000 Dusty's?! For a mistake you made?! The day Dusty's was here I also asked them to raise some of the sprinkler heads but was told I'd need to make a separate appointment for that and that it'd be $100/head. Before Darryl and Brian from Ron Hall left today, they asked me what else they could do for me. We looked at the sprinkler heads I wanted raised but once Darryl fixed the valve head, my pressure was good enough that I didn't need any heads raised. Meanwhile Dusty's Sprinklers just out there in town throwing out astronomical quotes for work that doesn't need to be done. Then not doing repairs on their own failures. DO NOT USE DUSTY SPRINKLERS! After Ron Hall left, I was pissed about Dusty's coming here and charging me $150 for a quote on work that didn't need to be done and for replacing one missing sprinkler head. The receptionist was a snarky bitch and they claimed zero responsibility for their failings. Ron Hall Sprinklers, you all are phenomenal at what you do. Thank you for being skilled in your labor.
