The staff was charismatic and genuinely helpful with the menu, taking time to explain dishes and give recommendations without ever rushing me. I ordered the black charcoal ravioli, which was rich and unique, and also tried the beet ravioli. I loved their creative take on raviolis. They were colorful, fresh, and full of flavor. The presentation matched the taste, and both plates felt thoughtful rather than gimmicky. It's the kind of place where you can relax into the atmosphere and enjoy food that's both beautiful and satisfying. Perfect for a slow meal with friends or a solo stop when you want something a little different.

Oh my god. YUM. My friend and I were looking for a dinner spot and she was vegan - I stumbled…read moreacross Hearth and immediately made reservations. This delicious spot is off the beaten path of the more touristy spots in Amsterdam, located on a quiet side street. We absolutely loved our meal - with clear influences from french, asian flavors, and italian. We started with a delicious amuse bouche by the chef, followed by the "pate" and fresh bread. It was earthy and good; a solid start. Our main dishes were truly a treat! We split one of the gnocchi options - the tomato sauce was delectable; I truly could have licked the bowl - and the black mushroom ravioli - so much delicious umami flavor! We ended with the peanut butter brownie and, let me just say, I am UPSET that we decided to split one instead of ordering our own! The service was a delight - they were so kind, clearly wanting us to enjoy the experience!

So I'm in Den Haag on a business trip and I try to not spend a furtune on a dinner. Being a picky…read morevegetarian who is trying to go vegan life becomes a bit harder when deciding what to eat. So today I felt like getting falafel. After looking around on the internet I realized that there wasn't that many falafel places close to my hotel. But there was this one. So I took a walk from my hotel on Parkstraat, which was about a 15 min walk to get to the King Falafel. The place is located just of the shopping streets and not crowded at all. It's your typical fast-foof-over-the-counter place, which can be both good and bad. The place is quite small and the only place to sit is by the counter and like one high table for two people in the back, so not a place to stay in and eat at. That didnt matter for me, since I was set on bringing my food back to the hotel. So the food. I went for falafel in a pita. And it was amazing! The falafel is made when you order them, not even pre "shaped", they will scoop them up and fry them when you order them. Real fresch! The pita was nothing special, its your regular pita, heated before you get it. When your falafel is fried and your pita is heatened, you get your falafel and you can put what ever salad you want for their salad bar. Eventhough its a self service saladbar, its fresh! Lots off different things and a few differet sauces aswell. I went for the tahini sauce which was really nice! My conclusion. One of the best falafels I've had and it only cost me €4,95 for a pita with 6-7 quite big falafel in it. Not five stars though, since the pita could have been better. So if you are in Den Haag and crave falafel, this is the place to go! And I would definitely go back.
