Here are my inspiration photos and then what she did to my hair. It was $275 before tip (and I still tipped 20%, because I'm a decent person). I think it's safe to say I didn't get what I came for at all. She was super excited to do my hair, so I assumed she would do it well. This was my first time in 6 years getting my hair professionally done instead of just doing it myself. I will continue to do my hair myself, as it's clear I cannot trust others to do it for me.

When I called, I was told she wasn't available Saturday but had an opening Friday at 10:30, which I booked and received a confirmation text for with Christina. When we arrived, no one introduced the stylist or mentioned any change. My daughter was taken back, and we went through the entire appointment under the impression she was with Christina. The haircut itself was not what was requested. My daughter brought reference photos, but the bangs were cut far too short and uneven, and the layering was incorrect. It was only after we left that I realized the stylist was not Christina at all. The business card we were handed when leaving said "Bailey," who isn't even listed on their website. The lack of transparency is unacceptable. If a client books with a specific stylist, they should be clearly informed of any changes beforehand. We would not have booked this appointment otherwise. To make matters worse, I reached out to the salon via email weeks ago to resolve this and never received any response. No acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing. This appointment was for my daughter's birthday, which makes the experience even more disappointing. Based on both the service and the complete lack of accountability afterward, I would never recommend this salon.

Between Heather and Izzy and all of the amazing staff at Sun Tan City 4914 Kingston Pk, they always greet and acknowledge me by name, and they pay attention to my needs and conversations, so that each time I visit, they can follow up in a professional and sincere way! I LOVE THEIR APP- I can see how much more time each piece of equipment is in use so I can calculate my wait time. I open the Sun Tan City app, click "check in now," select the equipment I want to use, and when I pull into the parking lot, it asks me if I've arrived, so I confirm and walk in and the staff gets me started! This particular location is very prompt; I've never had to wait unnecessarily or longer than maybe 2-5 minutes, even if they're completely slammed with customers! I wish this was called SPA Tan City because, in addition to the world class staff, the spa equipment is really what keeps me coming back the most! I do believe that using the trimpod daily or every other day, along with red light (Rejuve and the newly installed red light bed), and then adding some tanning beds in every 2-3 visits, has been the magic formula for helping me lose weight and keep my weight under 160 lbs. I used to have a spray tan package, and I was able to add regular tanning bed visits so that I could "double dip" by spraying and laying. Otherwise, the unlimited spray tan package is really not my strongest recommendation. But if you need a spray tan- sun tan city's spray tan equipment works perfectly. Just isn't always the best choice for my fair complexion. Oh one more thing! I don't know how they do it, but they seem to always get new equipment - as often as once every 1-2 months, there will be new spa or tanning equipment, and all of their new equipment has been absolutely amazing. I especially love the new red light therapy lay-down bed!!! As well as their KBL beds! Their prices are affordable, and they're THE MOST competitive with other tanning businesses right down the street, and they always have special deals running. While they like to see customers purchase new products to increase revenue and commission (I assume), they know I'm always working on a shoestring budget and know that when I have the money and need a replacement bottle of RLTherapy spray or tanning lotion, I'll buy more. I really hate being confronted about buying things, especially when I can't afford it, and these gals are very respectful of that. I recommend adding the Sun Tan City regimen (whether spa services only or spa and tanning etc.) to your beauty routine because it has provided me with so much more confidence, it clears my mind, and it keeps me feeling healthier-- maybe even a little lighter on the scale, and it makes me feel more well rested!

Stopped back to set up a few one-off tans for the same reason. Got a 15 minute high-pressure sales pitch. Listened patiently, then explained that we just wanted a few single events. The representative launched into another high pressure sales pitch. We walked away, and are unlikely to return. It's too bad; they have nice equipment but they have taken to pitching it as though they are timeshare sales reps.

Employee Dee has a bad attitude. Let me start at the beginning. I tanned at Beach Bums for many…read moreyears. I moved to Anderson County and was driving 30 minutes each way to go to Beach Bums. The trouble all started last summer when the previous manager didn't cancel my auto draft. So for three months they kept trying to take money. Thankfully I had the slip showing when I was supposed to be canceled. This season I was told by Dee that a note was on the account saying I could no longer do auto draft for last reason. I asked to speak to the owner since she wasn't going to be able to help me. She said no, I'll have him call you. She either never told him or he didn't call me. I'm going with the last. I finally worked something out with Katlin who called me NOT the owner. A couple weeks ago I went in on a Saturday really looking forward to tan. It's my way of relaxing. The new girl said try this bed( I upgraded $5) to do so for the bronzing bed. I didn't like it~ I laid for 4 minutes it's a 12 minute bed. So I asked for my money back, and asked to lay on my package bed. Dee has refused to talk to me till then. She said I'm not giving you your money back, The owner will call you Monday. Todays his day off. A small business owner is always on call. I was mad and walked into bed 11 instead and slammed the door and she said I feel threatened, I'm not starting the bed get out or I'll call the police. So I called from the parking lot. She said I have you on speaker phone. Not once while in the salon or on the phone did I cuss, or yell. I said I'd just like my money back. She said I just don't feel comfortable giving you a refund! So this was personal for Dee. Its kinda sad cause she wasn't always like this. I found the owner Kris Selvidge and his wife on FB messaged both. Who seen the message and refused to call me. That's all right he had Katlin too. She's the only one who knows how to handle business. They refunded my money for the upgrade and the package. The way this was handled was not okay at all. All this could have been prevented if Dee had only returned my money but out of spite she chose not to.
