Great experience at Alpine Garage…read more I noticed a rattle in the engine a day before we were leaving Mammoth for San Diego. I came in just after opening in the morning and it looked like the owner Mike had a busy day lined up. I explained the situation and he said to give him an hour to check it out. He called an hour later saying he fixed the issue and it was good for the trip home. It was a minor issue and quick fix but he could have told me it was tiny unicorns poking holes in the muffler and charged hundreds with me none the wiser. He charged a fair price and it got my family home safe. Nice to know there's honest business owners out there.

After being told this news, we soon realized the engine replacement cost would be more than the van was worth. We hen had the van towed to storage. A couple days later, I called and asked for some sort of quote or documentation that the engine needed to be replaced and I was told that they didn't even take the vehicle off the tow truck. On top of their lazy assessment of vehicle, they would not provide me any written quote or send confirmation that engine needed to be replaced, which I needed for insurance purposes. They even hung up on me when I attempted to explain why I needed documentation. I'm all about giving great feedback and customer service but BE WARNED! Take your car elsewhere!
