Their rental dept is top notch, fairly reasonable and the guys who run it full of helpful tips. Free popcorn too. While there are a half dozen hardware stores in the area these guys are the only ones who do it right. One star off because they are smaller with a smaller selection, but they have 80% of what you need. Now if you can only remember everything you need and avoid the dreaded "3 trip to the hardware store Saturdays."

It might be the fact that we do our shopping in the late hours of the day that constantly allow us to encounter the rude and plainly displayed lock of customer service the employees at this Missoula, MT Home Depot rendered! I would specifically like to shine the light on the precious lumber crew that so boldly ignored us during our trip on October 20th at 8pm. Connor and his crew watched my husband at first, and then the two of us struggle loading lumber onto our cart and literally just walk by and later just sat at the lumber isle a few feet from us. I wanted to share my experience with the person in charge. It took a few minutes to be directed to the store manager. Trying to find this person was a struggle as well.... not everyone knew where the manager was or even the manager's name (female employee at self-checkout area). In any case, found the manager at the customer service counter. Shared with him my frustration! Apparently, the customer needs to request help from the store employees. It is not "common sense" for employees to see the customer need and act on it!! He apologized and offered to talk to the lumber crew. I can only trust that the manager followed through with his offer. I truly do not expect the so important customer service to improve at this store. I will definitely shop during the day hours, maybe at that time customer service is more prominent??

I have been coming here for 13 years, and have always preferred it over our local Lowe's. I have never had any problems finding help from employees. They have a pretty big selection of all the necessities like appliances, lawn mowers, grills, lighting, cabinetry and countertops, flooring, and much, much more. This is the only place we buy our paint and supplies because they offer both Behr and Glidden, which we prefer. In their garden department you can find landscaping supplies and in the spring and summer they carry a wide array of trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals. They carry both organic and non-organic potting and garden soil as well as various sizes of pots and planters. Home Depot is always my first stop for anything "home improvement."

For the last couple of years I went from bringing friends & family to the store, we all would have a blast btw, to coming in maybe once a month. The pricing has been increased to new in box amounts and it seems most of the help hate being there, without a Hi or thank yous. I wasn't looking for money out of the till, I wanted to return a few items I bought 2 days ago, there was a very good chance I was going to use that refund to get other items. Instead the store refused the $20 return and in so doing lost out on $60 to $70 I would have spent and even worse, the thousands I would have spent over the next 10 years. Yes I said thousands, because that is what I have spent these past 7 years.

This very kind, sweet young associate was helping them, she wasn't very sure of what they were asking. She kindly asks a what I will assume manager to come to help her. This manager was extremely rude to these customers It felt like she was dumbing them down, The gentleman she was helping was very kind and not mean she dismisses them and starts complaining about them as they leave the building, the employee checking me out was very kind. I hope to see her again whenever I come in. Didn't catch her name. she has blonde and brunette hair. very kind soul!
