There is the number one reason in the whole world to visit this Juice Bar...they cure hangovers! I…read moreknow, I know, impossible you say, but I promise you they do. For £1 you can get a shot of ginger that will sort out your stomach, and if you're lucky your head. They also sell Guava, which must be somewhere close to a legal high. It's like drinking twenty cups of coffee at once. I promise whoever you are you'll be up to four in the morning if you drink some of this during the day. So make sure you only drink it when you plan to be up at four in the morning, otherwise very frustrating. The rest is all about filling yourself up with those B vitamins (my hangovers are so bad, I have researched this) that apparently are important, you know bananas, pineapples etc. And then, on top of those ingredients, it's up to you to choose what kind of fruit you like really. These are the real deal, made fresh in front of you, not like the ones you buy from the supermarket. I love this juice bar, they have really made an effort to think about why people might want or need to drink a smoothy and gone all out to make sure they can make it. Marketing trick or not, that's supply meeting demand.

Many people regard this as Bristol's original juice bar, because it's been there longer than most…read moreof the others that have sprung up in the past few years. With juices, smoothies and wholesome shots such as wheatgrass, some drinks on the menu aim to be healthy, others claim to help hangovers, and the remainder are just plain tasty. The yoghurt blends are tasty and filling, but the vegetable and fruit juices leave you feeling more wholesome - while for a specific pick-me-up you're better off with a down-in-one shot including ingredients such as celery, aloe vera, ginger, beetroot, and garlic (yes, garlic). You can sit down and drink them at the al fresco bar (fine in warm weather, but a wind channel at times) or have a take away. Prices are about average for juice bars - they seem fairly expensive on first glance but when you see what goes into them it's fair enough.

Heard of a deal of £2.99 for a 7" pizza ( with 3 toppings) and a drink (water or soft drink). This deal has become so viral among my juniors from the Bristol Uni, that one of them actually insisted me to pay a visit and feast my taste buds with the amazing GO GO PIZZA! Cool! We went. The staff was friendly. Budget, cost saving utility based decoration of the store. Sitting places limited to just one wall bound couch and a few chairs. To be honest, we could find only one chair!!! But, that's a takeaway, so I am fine with that. The dough was freshly made. The Pizza could have been a bit more tasty and the cheese was like an adhesive. They said Prawn topping, and when served, there were hardly 2/4 prawns, whereas I was ready to pay an extra for the Prawns!!!! But, the Pizza is not at all 7", I mean, if my parents taught me measurement and maths! I am posting pictures of the pizza and one can CLEARLY make out this is certainly not a 7"!!!! They are also miser with the do called 3 Toppings!! One of our 7" barely wore any topping!!! For £2.99 it is a good deal, indeed! Oh, by the way, they can rustle up a pasta for you at £4.95, as well. Worth visit, if you are on budget meal plan, but, when it comes to taste, it's just, I will say, considering the price they charge, is average. Just, average.

I phoned to inform them and they asked me to come back to the store and that they'd replace my pizza. When I arrived the woman serving me was adamant that my girlfriend had ordered the wrong thing, which she hadn't but they'd recorded the wrong thing. She then called out her boss who proceeded to tell me that I should be angry at my girlfriend and that it was all her fault and that he'd never made a mistake in 20 years with a perfect customer service record. After arguing for a good while with him talking over me and being very rude he offered to add the extra toppings to my now cold pizza for half the price of normal pizza, which I refused. So after traveling back to the store after they asked me to come in I was told that my girlfriend was a liar and was personally insulted and I was left with a cold pizza which was neither what I ordered or what they had printed on their ticket.

Lovely. I ordered…read morethe Bristol Bad Boy pizza, which was their hottest. And a can of cider, which in itself is cool! £1.50 for a can of Black Rat; OK it's not a bargain but it's bloody nice to have a can of proper cider delivered with a bit of grub. I was surprised at the sheer size of the Pizza, what some call large and what the rest of us fat fuckers call large are two different things. This was large. Dough was good, they also, like the international chain that isn't Pizza Hut, supply a pot of dip for the crust. Really though what I could have done with was a frozen bog roll.... ...Eating the pizza I scoffed. Ha! Call this hot? I've had hotter ice cubes! Pah! I might sue under the trade descriptions act. Loved the freshness of the peppers, but they're not spicy at all!..... ...Then, all of a sudden, BAM! It was like getting punched in the mouth by Mickey, the Bristolian god of fire. I could tell this was a fresh, almost lethal bird-eye or similar. What did I do to deserve this? Why no warm-up Jalepeno or some other "really spicy" thing? Maybe I dreamt it. Maybe the Black Rat was making me hallucinate. My eyes watered, which was handy, because I was watching Armageddon and I didn't want my wife to know it made me cry. But no, 'twas no dream. My bumhole made that perfectly clear this morning. I haven't had a gut-wrencher in a long, long time. I was forgetting what it was like to have your intestines twisted like a load of washing on a spin cycle. It reminded my butthole of prison. Taste wise though, nothing comes close. And Black Rat! Not Blackthorn!!

Excellent value, really tasty pizzas, lovely staff - a firm family favourite. Drop by and they'll…read moredo 2 for 1. Yes, you can enjoy more sophisticated cuisine, but for a take out at a good price, delivered with a smile, these guys are hard to beat.
