I must admit that I practically only buy from here in a sale time and have managed to pick some good deals. Word of advice If you shop here and its not a sale time then before you agree a sale ask what the price has been or would be in sale time and from there you need to haggle down. If you don't ask you won't get I bought an Italian leather sofa and a piece of the stitching came loose after about one year and I was worried that they might not cover this but to my delight it was no problem for them what so ever. The customer service dept was extremely polite and apologetic, they made speedy arrangements for a specialist to come out and look at the problem and to my surprise he even repaired it there and then. Paid a deposit (rest on finance) in Darlington store. Was told that sofas were coming today (Wed…read more20th Nov) got a text on Monday saying there was an outstanding balance that needed to be paid on Monday otherwise delivery would be delayed. Assuming there was no balance (as I had paid upfront costs in store and arranged finance), I called anyway to be told that there was 'an unusual' £39.01 outstanding on my account. The operative said she would call the store to query - store closed for refurb. She said she called covering store, Stockton, couldnt get through. As the lady was struggling to get to the bottom of the mysterious £39, I offered to pay it over the phone until she had sorted so that it did not hinder todays delivery - I was assured approx 4 times that if I did that, I would 'definitely' still be getting delivery as expected, so I paid by card over the phone. Today, I get a call from the warehouse calling to 're-arrange' my delivery. Yes, calling on the day I was expecting delivery, to re-arrange it?! I explained why I was annoyed, nothing that they can do 'they are just in the warehouse' and earliest time they can delivery is a week from today. I have explained that I have nothing to sit on as I had them removed yesterday ready for delivery today - not interested. Have been told there is nothing that can be done. I feel absolutely lied to and conned. On holiday with head office, pressed 1 to get a callback which I was informed would be approx 10 mins wait time, over an hour later and I'm still waiting. False promises, avoid!

We discussed the headboard for the mattress we were buying. NOT ACTUALLY INCLUDED, come to find. Shop assistant Owen called my husband to maltreat him over the phone, actually bullying him about our purchase. Completely outrageous behavior I've never experienced as an US citizen. I write a letter to the General Manager and he backs his staff and their incompetence and flagrant rudeness. NASTY COMPANY FROM THE TOP ON DOWN. No scruples, no professionalism, no more money from us.

I really like quirky, unusual and oriental/african objects and this place has all of the above…read more There is some quality hand made solid wood furniture, which would normally cost a fortune, but in here you can pick up some really nice stuff all reasonably priced. I like to wander round about once a month and the guy who makes and paints some of the stuff always seems friendly. Its in the popular grange road area and is well signed.
