There are the odds gems to be found in here such as cheap good quality suitcases and good quality bathroom towels. Amongst the clothes they are also some lovely bits and pieces in a good selection of sizes although most of it only suitable for older plus sized ladies. All in all I think this shop could be vastly improved by ridding themselves of their cheap logo and horrible big labels they have on everything but it's worth a quick look as there are some bargains to be had.

Just window shopping is difficult to do here as they always display their biggest bargains in the windows and you can guarantee having to buy something. Their clothes are for the more elderly people among us however the range of toys they sell is fantastic, especially around christmas time, they discount all their toys further and you have to be quick to get them too.

It's not always cheaper but I always go to Home Bargains before the Pound shops so I know if I'm getting a good deal. One difference between this shop and the Pound shops is that Home Bargains also sells alcohol (beer, wine, various alcopops and cheap spirits). Despite always being busy and queues at the tills, the store actually seems quite tidy and well-stocked. The staff on the tills can vary a lot - sometimes they're really friendly, other times they barely acknowledge you and prefer to talk to their friends while serving you! When you enter the store, they have all their latest deals and newest products on the left. They have seasonal stock in (Christmas, Easter etc.) which is usually at the back of the first aisle. I like that they don't change the store around so it's always easy to find what you want, or browse the right aisle. If you like grabbing bargains and don't mind queues at the tills then I recommend you check this shop out!

I like their multi-buy deals where you can buy 5 cards for £1 so I can stock up and be ready for any forgotten birthdays! As this shop is right in the middle of the high street, with it's entrance on the corner of the central square, it can sometimes be a bit awkward getting in and out but apart from that, this is a fab shop!

They also sell gifts such as mugs, photo frames, ornaments, helium balloons etc. The selection of cards is great including thank you teacher cards and from the dog cards! It is quite small so can feel very cramped especially with pushchairs and prams in the shop. It can also be quite awkward to queue due to the lack of space but for the value you get here it's worth it.
