I had to contact them the next day, only to be told they needed another hour. Again, they were supposed to call, and again they didn't. The next afternoon I went back and they said they needed another hour. They had my truck for 2 days, never bothered to call me when they knew they needed more time, said they found a short, but they could find the main issue, so I told them I would take my truck elsewhere. Then they said I had to wait a half an hour before I could take my truck so they could finish their "process." As I was waiting, the owner called and was very rude and said I wouldn't find anywhere else in Weiser that could do a better job. They ended up charging me 300 dollars. I then took my truck to TNT, formerly Red's, The next morning he told me the problem with my truck was simply one bad battery was draining the other. It had zero shorts, and Wicked wrench had left my wench disconnected, one battery disconnected and my brake lights disconnected. Oh, and he only charged 100 dollars and actually figured out the issue. I 100% do not recommend Wicked Wrench.

Before I brought it in there I had narrowed the problem down to two things. I took him for a drive in the car showing him what was going on. I told him what I thought it was. I told him to please call and let me know how much I was looking at for cost before he did anything to it. Later that evening, Claire calls me and tells me what the problem was (exactly what I thought it was). He told me it would be 150 dollars to fix my car. I asked him if that was parts and labor out the door. He said yes. I asked my wife and she said to go ahead. The next day, I receive a call that my car was done and ready to pick up. I asked if it was still 150 dollars. The lady told me it was $390 dollars. WHAT?!?! I tried to get him to lower the price because he had told me that it was going to be 150, but he wouldn't budge. The really bad thing about all of this is that I could have literally done this myself for 50 dollars. I will never take my vehicle to this place and I would recommend that you don't either. He will tell you that it will cost a certain amount and then charge 260 percent of what he quoted you!!!!

I needed an oil change on my motor home, and Camping World in Meridian was the only RV service…read morecenter in Boise that would do the engine and generator. All the other RV centers would only do the generator. After five days of waiting ('promised' in two days) Camping World finally got our oil changed on the engine (Ford V10), and the generator for a cost of over $200!! They also said I had two broken exhaust manifold bolts and I needed to get that fixed right away. They were of course happy to do it for a cost of over $300! After calling around for a business with a bay large enough to take my motor home, I took it to Speed-O-Motive in Fruitland Idaho for the exhaust manifold repair. They found two loose bolts and a loose heat shield. Charged me $25! I thought just the time and hassle was worth more than $25, but they were insistent that was all the money they would accept! Since that visit, I have taken two of our vehicles to Speed-O-Motive for minor repairs. They maintained their excellent service and integrity on each visit. I would recommend Speed-O-Motive to anyone.

After we figure out how to get everyone back home (shoutout to our friends at Compass Bible Church for the rides), the next step is to figure out how to get the van to my preferred shop, some 6 miles away. First tow truck I called was pretty standard: You speak directly to the driver; he's busy, he's booked for at least 4 hours out; and he's not particularly happy to be answering the phone. I ask his recommendations and note who I *DON'T* want to try next. I call Torch. They answer right away and I speak to a router/scheduler/office worker. She's very pleasant, seemingly understanding no one is calling a tow truck because they're having a fantastic day. A driver's available in about an hour. No problem, I can wait. They have an exact price for me: $110. Stetson ("Like the hat?" I ask. "You got it!") calls me maybe 15 minutes later. He's wrapping up a job in downtown Boise, it's rush hour, he probably can't be there for an hour. But I can just leave the keys, he can do the drop on his own (he's familiar with the shop), and I can get back to my house more easily from the library than the shop. The shop has very specific directions on how to leave cars. I call Stetson back to relay the details to him: Amazingly, Stetson remembers my name from our call five minutes earlier, answering with a "Hello, Eric. Did you talk to the shop?" This use to be part of ordinary human interactions, but is increasingly rare in our disinterested, vain world. I tip my hat to you, sir. About an hour and a half later, Stetson calls from the shop: Job complete. The van's safely dropped off and locked up. I pay with my card via the phone, never having the opportunity to shake Stetson's hand and thank him. That's as smooth a tow job as I can hope for, so here's to a five-star review making up for it.
