My most recent experience unfortunately was not one that I was use to. One this particular visit, the branch manager decided she was going to let me know that she was doing me a favor by taking my deposit that was not the excite amount. I was totally shocked and thrown off by her comment. I reminded her that this was a bank, and indeed bank give change. She then proceeded to tell me that she would no longer accept our deposit if it not the excite amount. I asked to see the policy in writing, she couldn't provide it. I then explained to her that this was the closes bank to use in walking distance which is a 30 minute walk just to get there. She was not nice. I called citizens corporate to give my feed back, now I'm letting my community know as well. If you choose to bank with them, make sure you have the correct amount of patients. The staff were helpful but were slow to communicate and did not go above and beyond for us as first time buyers. Kind of disappointing. Jennifer was extremely professional, intelligent and very apologetic. I explained that I really want to keep my banking business with a local bank, and not a monster like Bank of America, but I simply can't do that with such bad experiences like a non-working ATM card while overseas, or a mediocre online banking system. Jennifer and Cambridge Savings Bank have since set the standard for customer service: they have offered to reimburse me for any costs that I incurred as a result of the ATM card not working. They also explained the problem with the online bill system. Since our conversation (within the last 2 weeks) they have added a feature to the online bill system that is at least a step forward. She also explained that a solution will be coming soon. Assuming the online bill problems are fixed, I will stay with Cambridge Savings Bank for a long time. I submit all my documents the same day I'm asked and I don't hear back for days if not weeks. This is my second pre approval first was with a different bank and I was given a pre approval the same day! I'm a little worried after reading all the reviews . I understand it can be very busy, but almost 2 weeks just to look over paperwork and get an answer that I need different paperwork is somewhat unacceptable . The person I'm working with is great and very knowledgeable , but unfortunately she's probably overworked and has many other pre approvals to do which I get it's prob not her fault . Just wish the process was smoother as I'm very hands on and get things done right away. I will update my review once I hear back or if I decide to go with another bank.

I desperately needed some change for a large bill, and I stopped in not knowing that change is only for customers (now that I think of it, this may be why Citizens always asks if I have an account).
