They seem to have some sense that tells them when someone wants to catch them. For these reasons, I started looking for a mobile vet and this was the first one I found via google. I now see there are others, but we are pretty happy with the service we received. And don't let the "North Zulch" address discourage you. She was making our house call in Katy on her way back from Friendswood and she services multiple counties from what I can see on her website. So we got all animals done within an hour. We didn't have to worry about the cats making a ton of noise in a waiting room due to being frightened by other people or their animals. They were still afraid of the vet, but once they received their shots and were let loose, they went back to whatever they were doing and quickly forgot about it. And the cost? Very good. We got rabies, vaccinations, heartworm tests, revolution for the cats, heartgard for the dogs, FIV and feline leukemia tests, and house call svc charge all for less than $100 per animal. That's a great deal when many vets charge you $100 just to walk in the door currently. The only caveat is her help sometimes seem a bit lax. They forgot to call us to notify us of the appointment time and wouldn't budge when we tried to reschedule, so my husband cancelled his afternoon appts to get this done. I think her helper just didn't want to get fussed at maybe. I'm letting it go this time due to the great service of Dr. Jamieson and for her putting up with our divas (our cats).

I chose this veterinary place because I wanted the least stressful death for my 19 year old dog. Going to veterinaries even if they were good was not a fun experience for any of my pets. This mobile veterinary is everything I was hoping it was. The veterinary and an assistant came in the house, made sure my dog was comfortable and proceeded with the euthanasia process. It was still really sad, but they make the best effort to make you feel at ease and your pet. I've gotten recommended this place before and the people who recommended me this place have also have great experiences with them for other services.

After our conversation I can see that the mission of Rita B Huff Humane Society is a good one. As a not for profit, private shelter they receive no money from the State or Feds they do the best they can to help Walker County and the city of Huntsville. Strays are a huge problem and it is not a cheap problem. As a person who currently has 27 dogs that were dumped in Trinity County I understand the issues that shelters face. Part of my problem is that I have a Great Dane, a little over a year old (and I'm embarrassed to say), that I have not socially acclimated well. I called the clinic ahead of time and asked about their waiting room area because this had been an issue with my last vet's office. I explained my circumstances and they said call us in the parking lot when you arrive and we will let you know when a room is open so you can take him right in. I arrived 15 minutes early and they did just as they had promised. The wait to see the vet tech was a little long but she apologized and said they had an emergency that morning so they were running behind. I can understand and appreciate that. The tech advised me of the packages and what was recommended but not necessary and even waited while I called my boarding facility to see what they required for his future stays. They took Brutus into the back to weigh him and a few minutes after asked me to come back to help get him on the scales. I managed to coax the front half of him on and 2 of the vet techs helped "load" the back end of him on. He was 156.6 lbs so it was no small feat and I appreciated the two ladies' efforts. Dr. Martin was great. Super patient with administering the vaccinations and advising me on my puppy's care. I had asked for my boy's nails to be dremmeled. Here's where they really showed that they care about my business and taking care of my pet. Brutus wiggled, squirmed, turned over a chair and did everything he could to get away from the three of us and having his nails trimmed. After about 10 minutes we finally got him calmed down enough to basically accept his fate. lol If you care about good customer service and making sure your pet is in the right hands I highly recommend this vet clinic. They have won my business after a year's search.

The vet, although I can't remember her name, had suggested we do a blood test to try and find the cause. After doing the blood test, they ensured me they would get in contact with me as soon as the results came in. About 3 days later I received a call from the vet tech telling me the results had come in, but that the vet was on vacation. I was given a general summary of the tests, they believed my cat had Feline Herpies. I asked where we go from here, and the vet tech assured me I would get a call Monday when the vet was back for the next steps. Monday came and I never got a call. My cat was getting worse. Refusing to eat, despite following directions the vet had given me. I called and the receptionhist was beyond rude, giving me attitiude for not knowing the name of the vet. After figuring it out, the receptionist told me the vet was on break, and that she would call me after. I never got a call. Mind you, all of this is happening during finals for college, so as you can imagine I was more than stressed. After never receiving a call Monday, I called again the next day, telling them my cat was getting worse and that we needed help. Once again, I was told the vet was out and unavailable to talk to me. After getting fed up, my grandmother called them and demanded they talk to me. ONLY THEN did the vet call me back and talk about medication options for my cat. I relayed to her on the phone that my cat was much worse than before and asked what we needed to do. The vet prescribed me a medicine that helps with appetite, mind you, the food had to be eaten, and my cat, was not eating. Due to the lack of help and assistance from this clinic, I ended up having to take my cat to an emergency clinic, where they stated she had gone into liver failure, and both her lungs and heart were filled with fluid. We showed them the tests from this vet, and even they stated that based on the results, this could have been prevented had steps of been taken sooner. We ended up having to put my cat down due to her mass amounts if suffering. Once again, this could have been prevented had the vet of actually taken her time to talk to me and help me. I would not recommend this place to anyone. They don't take the time to listen to your needs, nor help you.

Our dog…read moreMax broke his leg one night unexpectedly and we're newly weds in our 20s and we're VERY short budget. Dr Steve and Brittany took care of our baby better than we could imagine. I've worked in Vets for the past 6 years and has not been able to find a vet that's either going to scam you with prices or give unnecessary treatment. It's been a long 8 weeks with our boy and we couldn't have gotten through it without them! Between all of the medications, 2 surgeries and so many X-rays I've lost count, our credit & bank accounts aren't crying because of dr Steve & brit! Thank y'all for being such blessings to our family!
