Horrible experience. I went to East West Bank because I would rather do business with a smaller bank than the usual big boys. Unfortunately, they don't know how to handle themselves, which is why they are who they are. I went in to open a business checking account, and was asked questions I've never been asked at a bank before. Why did I choose East West Bank? Who told me to go there? Why aren't I choosing another bank? You're right, why did I even walk in there?! No wonder your banks are always empty.... I have my personal account with the Los Angeles Police Federal Credit Union due to my job. Unfortunately, I can't open an out of state business with my credit union so I ended up there. I've never felt discriminated against because of tattoos or looks but this time I felt it in the pit of my stomach. Went down the street to Wells Fargo and got the account open in less than an hour. Don't waste your time here at East West Bank. If a bank questions why you're doing business with them, perhaps you should question why you're doing business with them too. read more

I tried to open a checking account. I went few very well know Banks like 4 different Banks. was no use at all. thier staff were a nightmare to deal with Then by chance i saw East West Bank and i walked in 520 N central ave Glendale Ca 91203. And that was the best decision i have made. Staff were amazing kind, nice and courteous. I met Mr. Kevoni Hayranian. The guy was fantastic. well mannered, respectful and polite he opened my account and was very friendly. i had a great half and hours with mr. I hope I got the location right. This is the branch near Porto's. I absolutely hate going to this branch even though it's the closest one to my house. Parking is free and convenient. The man at the entrance though is not friendly and either gives you the stink eye or ignores you. The staff inside are just as unfriendly. They are all armenian ladies who stand around talking to each other while I wait to make my deposit. They could care less about you standing there. They speak to each other in their language and carry on in conversation paying no mind to the customer. I'm basically invisible the entire time I make a deposit. This is the case with every visit I've made here. Maybe about 15 times. I even try to make small talk and compliment their family photos but they're still mean. There was ONE nice chinese lady but they transfered her to another branch! Boo. Bunch of lazy unfriendly people. If this is your bank, go to the branch in Silver Lake on Glendale Blvd. They're a lot nicer there and actually do their jobs. read more

The best service ever. I have banked with them since East West Bank bought American International bank, 15 or so years ago. They are all professional and caring people. They treat everyone with respect and professional matter. From the manager, supervisors, tellers, security guard, and everyone else they are the best. I have accounts at other banks as well, however I know I am in good hands with the East West Bank The Team in Glendale. I am not sure what the motive is behind some of the negative reviews, you will not find a better service at any other bank. read more

I've been coming here for 3 years though I usually go to the one in the Atwater Village area. Both are just perfect for banking quickly and easily. Rarely are there any long lines and the tellers do what they do very quickly and pleasantly... everyone says hello. Not sure why all the negative reviews... Beats Chase which I also bank with but they have much higher fees and lines can be long. I always find my banking experiences pleasurable at both East West banks. Of course, I wish they put more money in my accounts than I give them but I guess you can't have everything.... read more

First time walking into the bank , Everyone in the bank is super super nice and kindly , offered me water or coffee and treated me like a everyday customer. Yelena and Liz really helped me with all my questions. They close a bit later than most banks during the pandemic. Honestly I would recommend this bank over any other bank! read more

I frequent this location at least one a week. The parking is not the best but if you do not a little walk its fine. Its in office building across from Burger King. It is a bit dated inside, they need a remodel. The security guard look tired and bored. The ladies though are fine, not much with enthusiasm, they don't have big o smiles but they are sweet once you chat with them. The ladies all know how to do their job, and that is what I like. read more
