My beloved fifteen year old cat passed peacefully in my arms. He was the love of my life and I miss him terribly but am so comforted knowing he went at the right time with the kindest care. He provided me with excellent advice via phone, and after being refused further treatment by my previous vet, Dr. Sidorsky offered to come by my home and provide me with some options. All of our animals, including my sick dog, felt comfortable around him, and he provided me with detailed 1 on 1 instruction in administration of the antibiotics and use of equipment that he provided me. He followed up with me on a daily basis regarding progress, and made a second house call to confirm that my dog's health had improved. At the initial visit, we were discussing hospice and a shot in the dark to save my dog's life. Now we're discussing how much he has improved. His prices were on par (if not lower in some ways ) than my normal vet, and his bedside manner professional and compassionate. I've found my new vet, and am recommending him to all my friends. Having a vet do house call may seem a bit odd at first glance, but I can say from experience that it's my new preference (no more having to load the animal into the car and have them terrified at the smell of the regular vet). Try his service out. You won't be disappointed.

I guess I am really in deferent with my opinion here. I am not a dog owner but I did assist my…read moregirlfriend by taking her dog here for a couple visits while she was in town. Before I get to the visits, I felt the staff were very friendly and enjoyable to talk to. They explained what they were going to do, talked about upcoming appointments that should be done, and made the experience coming in easy. The first visit I honestly cannot remember why we came in other than we had a coupon for here. There were a couple shots due so I said do them so the dog can be up to date too. The girlfriend was not happy with the bill, little expensive to her liking. The second visit was for a nail trim. This is something we did ourselves for a while but it was time for a professional clipping. This time around I didn't even need to get out of the car. May have been miscommunication but they came out, took our pup and brought her back with nicely clipped nails. Again, the girlfriend wasn't pleased with the cost of the trim, especially since she can get her nails done as same or even less of a cost. I know pets can be expensive, I have a Russian Tortoise and do my best to keep it healthy. I don't know what the cost of services should be but for what it's worth the service provided seemed reasonable to me. If this is your first visit, there are 5 waiting spots out front in which you dial in to let them know you are here.

Spruce Hill is the most caring, compassionate, and wonderful place! I have been coming here for 20…read moreyears and would really trust them with my life. The below review sounds completely farfetched, as I cannot think of smarter, more invested, kind, and present vets. Dr. B spent HOURS with me during all my visits and called me on his days off to make sure that my dog was recovering OK from surgery. He really wanted to make sure I understood what was happening and was there if I had questions or if I wanted to process what was going on. I am sorry, given that my own personal medical dr spends about 5 minutes with me, it's pretty amazing and unheard of nowadays to get someone who really cares. The entire staff at Spruce Hill is also warm and wonderful. They make us feel welcome and always greet my kids with a smile and toy. Dr. H even has small trinkets for kids that she gives out and because of her, my little one wants to be a vet when she gets older. Dr. H was also there for our entire family when we made the most difficult decision of our lives and put our 16 year old dog to sleep after a long battle with cancer. She was so kind and empathic, providing light on an otherwise dark day. I would not send my pets anywhere else. I wish I could give this place 10 stars!!

Dr. Himmelstein gave me a prescription after the $300 exam and then when I tried to purchase it through their on line store, they refused to approve it. My dog is still limping and I can't afford a new vet with the new vet costs. Stay away from here.

I appreciate that. Her staff has been very kind and helpful to us during many emergencies and my dog's health has greatly improved with her care. I was told at another local vet I would need a $3000 surgery to remove a part of her anatomy that was never actually causing the problem. Rather than rushing to the pricey option, Dr. Henderson did repeated tests and exams and made an informed and humane decision. My pup is quite healthy now and the surgery was obviously unnecessary. Dr. Henderson also explains the issues, including drawing diagrams, so that I can completely understand the situation and the options. When my pup has been sick her staff has called me to check up on her. After ER visits elsewhere, the staff calls to check up on my her. It's a very sweet gesture and has always been appreciated. This vet isn't handing out hugs to distraught pet owners, but that's not what I was looking for in a vet. I was looking for someone who is informed and experienced. I found it here.

Do not see Dr. Henderson if you care about your pet…read more Our cat Milo was having seizures suddenly over the last 12 hours so we decided to take him to the vet. He was an overweight cat and the cause of the seizures was not diagnosed. After simply taking blood work and giving less than 20 min of an IV fluid, they stuffed him back in the cage and sent us on our way with a prescription for phenobarbital. No instructions other than how to give the cat the medicine, no goodbye, no thank you, and no advice on what to do if the seizures persisted. We administered the half a pill like we were told to do and he had another seizure 10 minutes later. We called the office to get advice and they basically said nothing. We left Milo to go get some yogurt to help him with his dosages for about 3 hours and when we got back he was dead on the floor under the bed. When we called back and told them our cat died they were completely unsympathetic, indifferent, and when Dr. H finally called back, said she "had never seen anything like this in 40 years. Why didn't they keep him until the blood work was complete, or load him with a higher dosage of the medication because he was a larger cat to prevent the seizures before they became fatal?! He was only 2 years old and if they were more specific about how much of a dosage we should have given him initially to get his treatment under way, or if they had given him some medication and enough of it to match his weight before we left the clinic, milo would still be with us today... TLDR: Dr Henderson doesn't care about your animals and if they die, Too bad, she doesn't know why and didn't care anyway. 40 years of veterinary practice for nothing!
