Some highlights:: They mow the lawn beautifully, and I appreciate that they skip weeks in the hottest part of the summer when the grass stops growing--saving us money and protecting the lawn. They sprayed for ticks and completely eradicated our horrific tick infestation. At a price considerably less than the other specialized providers. The fertilization program is really turning our lawn around. They plow the driveway, shovel our walks and put down ice melt as needed. We've had no problems with damage or timing. On top of all of this, they're very responsive and their pricing is more than competitive. Delighted to say we have finally found a professional yard maintenance contractor that exceeds all of our expectations.

I didn't do a moisture test yet, but knocking many pieces together it seemed like most pieces sounded dry. As far as volume, you definitely get a full cord and then some. I stacked the wood and definitely got my 128 cubic feet worth. I did ask how they seasoned the wood, and like just about everyone else they pile it up for about a year or so. Any accomplished wood burner can tell you that is no way to properly season wood, so in actuality the wood I paid for is probably only 1/2 way seasoned. My recommendation for buying wood from anyone in Connecticut is to buy "seasoned" wood in the Spring, store it exposed to sun/wind all summer and then it will be good to go by winter. 4 stars. 3 stars for excellent service, delivering the wood within 24 hours of my call, and 1 extra star for selling the seasoned wood at a reasonable price. They don't get a final star because the seasoning is a little suspect.

A friend of mine had highly recommended them. I had trusted my friend's recommendation and contacted SCR. Instead of getting into details, I will tell you my last meeting/dealing with SCR ended with hugs and handshakes. During the whole experience I felt like I was dealing with family. Multiple areas of my home were worked on from; floor tiling, hardwood, painting, decking, lighting, plumbing, concrete work, and even driveway paving. All employees were super respectful, professional, and very cautious of being clean in finished areas of the house. The need for a review on SCR, is definitely in order. They made our house, into a home that we could never imagine. Thanks Guys!! Wayne and Iris Festa

The floor sanders did damage to the floors they were supposed to fix. They left the house with debris and a mess. Yes. A cleaning crew came back after a week, but they only fixed the obvious mistakes. See pictures. In the garage they were to replace drywall. They did a subpar job on cutting pieces that fit, damaged a piece of furniture, and left plaster and insulation debris on the workbench and did not cover anything down there. Additionally, they removed fixtures for lights and left them unattached and with wires for the fixtures plus the garage door opener hanging in the garage. Very disappointed. USAA Insurance should remove them from the provider list and Southern Ct folks should beware of the polite people who leave shabby and incomplete work, refuse to return telephone calls, and generally cancel out the nice telephone call with the abusive way they handle your home. Don't trust them. It was a waste to leave the house unoccupied for more than a week and allow them access for more than a month to sand floors and replace drywall and installation. They failed and don't seem to care about is.

They provided a very…read morecompetitive quote for sod for our front yard, they showed up on time and completed the installation. The work was guaranteed for a year. It was good thing, because at least of it died despite us watering regularly, etc. When we called, we were informed that the sod was diseased from the vendor and they would replace. They did and all was good until the next year. Suddenly, despite us using pest/fungas/crab grass control, fertilizing and watering, we developed a wealth of weeds. In particular, a lot of crab grass. Since that time we have paid Ecoturt to aerate, fertilize and do spring clean ups. This year our lawn just died and all we can grow is weeds. I emailed Ecoturf and asked them to come out and look at the lawn. I got no response. I called twice and left messages and got no responses. Recently, I spoke with my neighbor who said that they fired Ecoturf because their lawn was getting weeds (and she had a really nice lawn). All in all, I am very dissapointed. I have likely spent about $4,000+ dollars with Ecoturf and I have a lawn full of dead grass and weeds. My suggestion would be to find a different landscaper.

Overbooked himself and sent people he know (one was an electrician not even a patio guy) to complete the work. On day two we were told he would be there early in the morning except he never showed up only his workers did.Everything was rushed and At one point when it was taking longer than expected a third person was brought in who randomly showed up at my house in a broken down Blazer with his wife who stayed in the front yard smoking cigarettes the entire time. The work was very sloppily completed and when he came to collect the money that was owed as final payment we pointed out all of the things that were still wrong he assured us he would come back and fix them. After a couple days they came back and fixed the issues that we pointed out except fixing the fire pit that was built. Some of the pavers had been cracked during him rebuilding it and structurally it did not have a good appearance. Now a year later more of the pavers from the fire pit are cracking and are on glued. Some of the Polymeric sand is coming up. And all the new pavers on the patio up here almost faded some with a white tinge to them and you can very obviously tell where the original patio ends and the new patio that was added begins. When he had assured us everything would match. It almost has an appearance like they forgot to seal them properly When my wife reached out to him last year with questions he blocked her phone number and blocked her from Facebook. I have now reached out to him this year three times and I've gotten no responses.

I have used several tree services over the years, and while I have had good experiences with all of them, none have been as efficient, professional, and impressive as Witkowski & Sons. The crew today consisted of Joe, the leader, along with Abel and Willy. From the moment they arrived, they were friendly, professional, courteous, and extremely careful--especially around my septic fields, which was very important to me. I watched them from my window, and I couldn't get over how hard they worked--and yet they made it look almost effortless. They worked as a team, knew exactly what they were doing, and took great care with my property. When they were finished, everything was cleaned up beautifully. My only advice to anyone considering Witkowski & Sons is this: If you have to wait for them, they are absolutely worth the wait. I will definitely be calling them again in the future. In fact, I already want them back to do some light pruning of several rare ornamental trees in the front of my property. I trust them completely with my trees and my property. And a special word about Joe: he is stellar. His work ethic, professionalism, politeness, and genuinely friendly manner make him a tremendous asset to the company. He clearly takes pride in his work and in making sure the customer is satisfied. Thank you, Witkowski & Sons, Joe, Abel, and Willy, for an outstanding job. I couldn't be happier and highly recommend you!
