Yesterday.... June 13th. There was zero attempt for protection against the COVID-19 virus! Not only was there no protection between the backseat and the front seat, But the driver was unmasked and had no hand sanitizer on hand. The driver even mentioned that his employer of East Ridge cab company did not provide their drivers with masks or hand sanitizer! Neither the drivers or the customers are protected from COVID-19 and I'm asking for accountability. The owner needs to start taking this virus seriously! Also the meter didn't even work and we were charged $40 for a short trip from Fort Oglethorpe to East Ridge and back to Fort Oglethorpe. There's NO way it should have been so much money read more

Couldn't get cars out of garage due to power outage. Had important doctors appointment. Called got Dean he was at our house in no time at all. When appointment was over he was there in a heartbeat. So appreciated he has a great personality. read more

East Ridge Cab has been dependable, courteous, and always helpful with the large amount of luggage we always have. They have also accommodated special stops and unique requests i.e. ...drop off luggage at interim stop etc.... We usually get in very late at Groome Shuttle on Ringold Road and go to Ooltewah or get picked up in Ooltewah very early to travel to Groome Shuttle and they have always been right on time. read more

I have used them several times in the past without incident. But the last time was a mission ciritical trip to the airport. I called my reservation in at 8:30 am for a 1:30 pm cab (I k now that they have only one or two drivers at any time) and was 'greeted' by a voice that sounded just woken up or otherwise out of it. He did take my reservation and give me the flat fare rate. But I felt a little funny about it, so for the first time ever I called an hour before the cab was scheduled to arrive to make sure that things were OK. The cabdriver at that time had not received my reservation and was on another fare some distance away and could not make it. I tried calling another local cab company but after five attempts at trying to explaing what time I needed to be there and not what time I wanted to be picked up, couldn't get any further. They sent a cab anyway that arrived what would have been too late for catch the flight. read more

Is there a zero stars . Cause this place surely deserves it . Made a reservation for my teen age daughter 4 hrs before she needed to be picked up . No show . TOTALLY UNRELIABLE. I have made reservations for an early morning run to the airport and, on several occasions, had to make other arrangements at the last minute because they never showed up, never called. Today, I had a daytime need, so I thought I would risk it once again. At about 10 a.m., I made a 2:20 p.m. reservation for a cab to take my wife to her doctor's appointment. I had a 3 p.m. appointment with an auto shop for service. I did not want to change either appointment (you have to wait for both) and I did not want my wife to be late. As of 2:40 p.m., no cab, no call from East Ridge Cab. So I cancelled and rescheduled my car appointment at the last minute, so my wife could take the car to her doctor's appointment. Now I will have to take off another afternoon, for the auto appointment. Later that afternoon, I called East Ridge Cab to find out what had happened. The afternoon guy said to call the manager on Monday morning. He was not on duty at the time I called, this afternoon, and the manager "doesn't like for people to call him on his cell phone". Ask me if I care. So, the manager doesn't like to take cell phone calls. He also doesn't like to schedule his taxi reservations, either, and he doesn't like to call to tell the customer he can't fill the reservation. How does a public transportation company like this keep its license, with so many complaints that are all the same? Or does East Ridge not require a license? Or any accountability to retain a license? read more

I was upset using them. They ran a meter after I was told 8$. It ended up costing me 20$ for a ride that was supposed to be 8$!!

Had never head of this company until yesterday when one of their drivers rear-ended me. He was profusely apologetic but how this happened on a slight uphill grade at a stop light is questionable. It was fortunate I was in my husbands crossover. If I had been in my sports car it would have caused a huge dent in the trunk, with costly repairs since parts are hard to find. The number posted on the side door of the cab is apparently the cell number of the driver. He should pay more attention to driving safely. I would never trust this company to transport anyone I know. read more

They used to be dependable but as of the last few months if you are not going a long distance they put you off saying it will be up to three hours before they can get to you. Even people going a short distance needs to get to where they need to be. read more

This was my first try with East Ridge cabs. Before leaving on a two week trip, I called the company and asked about their ability to pick us up at the airport after 10 PM on our return. Not a problem, we run 24 hours, every day!! We arrived about 11 PM and I called; the guy said he's the only one on duty and said something about having to make a run someplace early in the morning. I said, so I can't get a cab, and he said no.!!! What does the guy in the office do except tell folks what they want to hear, and not be concerned about providing a service. What were we to do, hitchhike home at midnight? If you have someplace important to go, I'd select another cab company. We will pay for parking in the future as we've done in the past. If you could rate lower than one star,this would get it. read more

I had to go out of town on business and needed a way to get my teenage daughter to school. I called east ridge taxi and they took care of it. They were very professional and put me completely at ease. I should mention they didn't charge me an arm and leg either. I will never consider using another cab service. These are people taking care of people, not just a car with a meter running. read more

Don't bother! Awesome drivers don't get me wrong, but NEVER EVER available! Pointless to call. If every 1 out of 30 times your cab is available or will even answer the phone then something major needs to change. read more
