The newly renovated children area is beautiful. Storytime is every Wednesday at 10:30 am.

Excellent transaction, books were brought out to me and they even renewed my expired library card.

Seems OK enough, but did they install any kind of ventilation system when they built this place? Sweet Jesus.

Visited 2 April 2026…read more I had a great experience at the library. I wanted to use the computer and print and that's exactly what I was a leg to do. Upon entry, the receptionist at the desk was pleasant and answered the million questions I had. I was given a guest access code to use the computer and used thag same code to print. Accessing the computer was easy. But, at first it was a bit confusing about the printer because there was a pop-up that instructed you to install a printer (that is not necessary). Once ready to print, the computer send your documents to the print station where you are able to preview your documents, select color or black & white, before you pay $0.10/page for black & white or $0.25/page color copies. Be warned, there is a 25-page print limit. There was a time limit to use the computer as well, but I kept getting automatically extended since there were more computers available and nobody was waiting to use one. The library was quiet although a large group of school-aged children came in. Regardless, it was not too busy there, just a handful of people who came, took care of their business, and left. It was clean and well organized. There are even desk spaces without computer. While there everyone was respectful and followed the norms of the library. I did not check out any books, so I cannot speak to that service, but I did notice a book drop-box outside for after hours. I liked the library and will be back if needed.

Just wanted to take a second to say how great the Hapeville Library and it's staff have been. As a…read moreresident of East Point, we truly miss our library, it's staff, and events. However, the Hapeville library has been great to help with any issues during this transition and I just wanted to give them a shout out.

Beautiful classical architecture and peaceful atmosphere filled with invigorating minds makes this…read moreuniversity library one of my favorites to study at. I'm not an Emory student, however the universities in Georgia have all agreed to make their libraries accessible to all college students in rolled in Georgia. So if you get distracted at your own college library because you run into everyone you know ever and instead of hard core studying, you end up ordering pizza and sneaking in beers to party in the upper halls (not me of course), I suggest you study at Emory's library. Just call the front desk to find out the hours available for visitors and to ask about parking - you don't want a $50 dollar parking ticket. My favorite room is silent hall on the second floor. It is filled with those big wooden tables with green hooded lamps attached in the middle and large comfy chairs. No whispering allowed.

Never judge a book by a cover they say, I'll add never judge a font by its size! I came here to do some research for some feature films I'm comprising and I was totally enraptured with the grandiose collection. The music & media library is outstanding and a wonderful resource. The staff is nice, and helpful, and kind and helping me feel that I'm not a spaz for my large print love. I even explained the virtues of the large font way and I think I may have converted a couple more followers. Or maybe they were just bein' Southern and nice.

They go there to play with some of the unique educational toys that are available, read a variety of books that they do an exceptional job of rotating and showcasing, using the computers to complete homework as well as the abundance of school/arts and crafts supplies we use regularly for written homework assignments. In addition to the aforementioned, we've enjoyed numerous educational and informative programs that are held there. We've had the opportunity to see live reptiles, learn healthy tips about nutrition and take home healthy foods, and one of my daughters learned how to sew there via a non-profit sewing class! I cannot express any more how much of a gem this beach is to the West End. They have a world class staff who even sometimes offer clothing and shoe donations to anyone in need.

What you won't find is loitering, sleeping people, or unruly children. Everyone here is being productive, and taking advantage of the resources afforded, in the way that best fits them. This place is a treasured community resource. Want to really know what's going on in the HEART of the COMMUNITY, the SOUL of the COMMUNITY? Come check out the flyers on the ALWAYS well organized bulletin board, or tables in the foyer and front desk area. Hey, city leadership- come FIX our computers! Yes. We USE them over here in 30310!
