I got into an accident and went through Insurance to have my vehicle fixed. The job was done well cosmetically from what I could see. However, about a year and a half later, I had another incident and the second that my front bumper was damaged the paint immediately flaked and chipped away. When I brought my truck to two different shops to get quotes to have the work done, the FIRST THING out of both of the managers mouths at each shop was "Who painted your bumper"? When I tell you that it was the first thing out of both of their mouths I am not lying. I told them who it was, and that the reason I went to them was because they got such amazing reviews on Yelp. They both told me obviously that the bumper was not primed and prepped at all and that it was just simply painted. The bodywork, etc. that was done to my vehicle from what I can see was done correctly. I was not told otherwise. But the painting of my replacement bumper was half ass. You would expect that simple things like that are done correctly. I really wanted to leave them a good review and to be honest with you I wouldn't have known any difference had I not gotten into a second fender bender. But I'm glad that the other two mechanics pointed it out to me immediately. I had asked for a quote when I was there to fix a small dent in my trunk and I was quoted $1200 from Bona Fide. I found another gentleman that's been doing bodywork for 40 years and he did it for 250 bucks and did a phenomenal job. If you're gonna be a retail shop that charges retail prices you better do quality work front to back.

When I called Dan had me bring in the car, the estimate was unexpectedly reasonable and was approved the next day. Dan ordered the parts and the car was repaired in two days - with free buffing of some scratches unrelated to the repair. Baron Honda highly recommended Schubert's when I called them...I had two bad experiences with shop repairs in the past; one shop replaced fender and door panels [big deer's antler caught in my side view mirror and slammed in the whole side of the car]. After repair the fender kept popping off and I had to keep bringing it back to have it tacked together. He hassled with the insurance adjuster for more money and went cheap ordering parts as the original joining bracket was not replaced [as per # 2 shop auto mechanic]. This other shop took my car apart and ordered parts and I had to rent a car for more than a week while it sat in the shop waiting for parts. The rental agent had an office in the shop.
