Steve is the best. Most reasonably priced and excellent I had a car with an unfixable convertible top leak (old pos Mercedes 500sl) He spent hours on it. When he couldn't fix it perfectly he would not accept payment from me for his time That says it all read more

Did my NYS inspection and oil change. Have always liked it here. Has great value. They tell you what's up but are not pushy or anything just straight up. Quality service and wonderful people working there, will return if needed in the future. read more

Strongly recommend Steve and his business. He's been taking care of my 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee for several years and I've got nothing but good things to say about him. read more

I've been going to Steve and Laurie for about 10 years, and I have never liked my mechanics before. They are a family-owned business that I know isn't screwing me over. They physically COME to my house to get my battery running then DRIVE it to the shop to fix it. They've done this at least three times and one other time, Steve, himself, came to my house to get my car-door open when I locked the keys out. What auto mechanic would ever do that for you? No one, that's who. Except Steve. read more

I brought my sad and tired Audi here based on the other 2 Yelp recommendations and these guys were friendly and did a good job. Cost for the repairs was $180 less than what Audi dealership would have charged me. I'm holding off on a 5th star until I use them one more time, just so I can have some history with them. But I would definitely go back, which for me is always the most important indicator. Thanks guys. read more

East Hampton Auto Radiator - Auto Repair Near Me - East Hampton, New York

My old range rover wouldn't start when we were coming back to the city. I had it towed to this garage after reading the reviews. However the problem didn't recur when it was inspected in the garage. Steve was honest enough to let me know that they couldn't replicate the issue. I really appreciated his honesty. I picked up the car after 4 days and drove back and forth from NYC. The problem recurred after a week this time Steve was able to diagnose it as a bad fuel pump and fix it within a day at a fair cost. read more

For the best service and most reasonable prices you have no choice but to go to East Hampton Auto. I took my 2006 Mercedes to other places and was given the run-around and overly inflated price quotes. Steve made sure my car was worked on and returned VERY quickly, and the price was extremely reasonable. He went above and beyond for me, and from both talking to him and observing him with other clients he obviously does the same for everyone who goes to him. I cannot stress enough that he is the only one in the area who will respect my time, care for my car, and go easy on my wallet. read more

I've brought my car here for years and have always found him, reasonable, reliable and HONEST!

Steve is the best in the Hamptons and he is. A reliable person. Honest. And best part is he is always available for the costumers. read more

Extraordinary! There's no other word that better describes Steve's expertise, fairness, customer service, and character! Beyond being a great ambassador of customer service, Steve always has time for everyone, everyone's car whether new or old, and is always eager to help find the best part and/or the best solution at the least cost. I simply don't know how he juggles so many vehicles and so many people. I often wish I could organize an intervention and send Laurie and him off for a multi weeks vacation. But then I suspect by day 3, he would be volunteering to repair the resort owner's vehicles. We are all very lucky to know Steve and to benefit from his expertise to keep our Jeeps and cars running. Found this place on Yelp and chose it because of all of the 5 star reviews which it definitely deserves. Steve and Laurie were so helpful. I had bought my car a week before, know very little about auto repair, and was very wary of being taken advantage of. I didn't have an appointment but they were able to tell me very quickly what was wrong, ordered the part and had it ready for me by the next afternoon. While the repair cost a lot it didn't feel like they were ripping me off at all and they were just genuinely really sweet people read more

Friendly honest competent. Steve is the best I trust him with my 97 Gr Cherokee and my 2008 BMW 335i. He will stand behind his work and attempt things that others wouldn't touch. For instance my drivers seat in the jeep turned into a rocking chair. I don't even think OEM replacement was an option. He took on welding it back together. 2 years and holding strong. read more

Steve and his crew are the best. He kept my Mom's beloved MR2 running strong, got my son's junker Suzuki safely to Salt Lake City, spotted a life threatening steering problem on my daughter's Jeep and even turned down work when I could do it myself. Don't be put off by the look of the shop or the lack of space. They are completely honest, save me money by shopping around for parts, and do great work. read more

Very good diagnositics, mostly rapid service and excellent pricing because they don't kill you with unnecessary repairs; We've used them for several years with a 20 yr old jeep and a BMW and they know both car engines well. read more

Excellent Service, very nice people and more than fair price!

Steve has been my mechanic for over 20 years. I cannot say enough good things about him and his staff. They go out of their way to accommodate their customers on routine and emergency matters. They are terrific. read more

I write this review with one concern. Steve and his crew are such good, honest, and affordable mechanics, I worry if word gets out to much that he will get to busy. Really great honest work. I would not take any of my vehicles anywhere else. read more

Steve has been my mechanic for 23 years, that's the longest relationship I have ever had with a man. I trust him implicitly. I have saved thousands of dollars. My father-in-law had a quote from a dealership to do work for $2,300. I pushed the car out of the dealership lot, called a tow to Steve. Steve fixed it in a flash for $800...amazing! Both Steve and his wonderful wife, Laurie, have bent over backwards more times than I can remember and there have been some crazy things that went awry with our family vehicles. I have had many cars over the the years, but my mechanic will always stay the same. East Hampton Auto Radiator is fast, honest and prices have always been fair. They are the best in town, if not anywhere. 5 stars read more

Nice, honest and fair. Nothing more you could ask for. Recommended to me by a few folks.

Actually, I have to say that they are the ONLY honest mechanics in town, always did the job perfectly, never overcharged me, very friendly and professional. That is why their lot is full of cars, by far fuller than any other mechanic in town. read more

I am sad to report that my experience today was so disturbing it left me in tears. I have been taking my car to Steve for 7 years and was previously happy with the work done. However, after numerous attempts to get information on the status of my car, misrepresentations about it being "almost finished", I was then informed that they still did not have the correct part. I was now without a vehicle for 2 days without any information on when it might be complete or how much the work might cost. When inquiring further I was informed that I "was not the only person in town who needs her car fixed and to get my f-cking car off her f-cking lot!" I ask to speak to Steve and she refused to allow me to speak to him. So I took a cab over to work it out - only to be further shocked by Steve's response. He was angry at me for coming to pick my car up when he had already ordered parts! He seemed to have no idea that she demanded I take my car and was not interested in knowing what had actually transpired in the front end of his business. I understand that things get busy during the summer, but the way I was treated is unacceptable under any conditions. I will never use this business again or recommend it any more. read more

best mechanics on the east end.....fair pricing and great professional service....would not bring my car anywhere else
