No paying for parking. Nothing. I've always eliminated going to places downtown and in the Power and Light District because of parking. Kansas City did a great job on the street car system. It's clean. It has several stops just a block or two from sites. It's friendly. Comfortable. It has air conditioning. Plus it's free. I love the streetcar. It's my opening, my lifeline to what I've not been able to visit. You can literally ride the streetcar and see all of Main Street. It's a beautiful view of the city. A life changing experience.

Running via Main Street, the Streetcar runs from Union Station in downtown to the River Front. In between those two stops, there are another dozen or so stops along the way in the various areas and districts in KC. Every time we visit KC, we take full advantage of the Streetcar. The stops are convenient, all feature covered seating and area maps, and it always gets us close enough to where we are headed. The Streetcars are a few cars long, feature a good amount of seating and copious amounts of overhead handrails and straps for those standing. The cars can get packed real quickly, especially at the start/end points. The amount of riders is self-governed, so folks squeeze in as much as they can, and there is no one to limit or direct traffic on the car. That can get stressful, but everyone has somewhere to go! The cars are always clean and well kept and are always running on time, with minimal delays. Overall, absolutely love the KC Streetcar! Great and impactful initiative that the visitors and locals of KC benefit from greatly!

I had a 3 hour layover here in the morning and was surprised in many ways…read more 1. Bathrooms were all genders! It seemed to throw many people off - especially grown men (two of which stepped out when they saw me because they thought they were in the wrong place despite the signs). The bathrooms were clean, offered privacy, and importantly it was easy to tell which were occupied and which weren't. 2. The food offerings were limited, not too appealing and more overpriced than other airports. The same pretzel I got in St Louis for ~$8 was almost $10 here. The same bag of takis I got for ~5.60 was almost 8! There was only one coffee shop and the line for it was ridiculous! 3. The gate agents had a different approach to asking folks to check their bags. Instead of the usual "check it now before you're forced to check it later" agents approached it with a "please check it if you've already checked other bags, you're headed to baggage anyway" -- it felt a little kinder but simultaneously a bit desperate 4. Boarding was delayed by ~10 minutes but this wasn't reflected in any of the signage nor directly addressed by the gate agents

It is a far departure from once was the KC airport, pun intended, and is now a wonderful space filled with lots of space, artwork, local flavor, outlets, amenities and options. The airport is larger than you think, so a walk between terminals could run you 5 - 10 minutes, so be cautious on your tight connections. The airport is laid out well, with each terminal being easily navigable from start to end. The food and outlet options are solid as well, with many grab and go options, but also a fair amount of dine/drink in too. Shops are plentiful, pricey, but plentiful. Additionally, they have lots of spaces for workers on the go featuring counter seating with chargers, some of which are wireless. Also have resources and spaces for the kiddos and even dog areas. All great additions to any airport, and really nice to see here. Overall, I really dig the KC airport. In the last few years, flying in and out, I have had no issues and have enjoyed my travels!

We get there to be told that it's a not a thing and that it was 4pm check in only. Ok cool got it should have said that on the phone.. We only stayed for one night. The cottage smelt like sewage. There were spider webs in the corners and when we woke up in the morning there were ants everywhere. I had them in my cup (water) my son also had a spider crawling on him inside the cottage. And the AC has a limit. So hot day at the park and your ac won't go lower then 70.

We popped by after visiting the City/River Market and took a stroll along the river, passing by the beach volleyball courts, playgrounds, river view platform, green space and even a local beer garden! The full area is currently in transition with lots of mixed use developments under construction, so another 12-18 months and this place is going to be unrecognizable. With that, the current amenities are a bit skimp, with no public restrooms beyond porta-potties and not much more to do than volleyball, walking/jogging, and grabbing a beer. But again, ground floor of the development and the park itself is nice so far. This park is the end/start point of the KC Streetcar, which is wonderful! While we walked here, we decided to take the Streetcar back to downtown. It was a perfect spot to hop on. The park is well kept, clean and an overall excellent spot to spend a some time wandering around or through. Excited to see what it morphs into as the developments continue, but already impressed!

That being said, the park was pretty nice. It didn't feel crowded. It was a bit more spread out than others. The WiFi was pretty good by RV park standards. The owners were friendly too. If you need a place to spend the night, this is a pretty good choice.

It's a no frills place, but very well maintained - they keep most of the spots' hookups heated so that everything works well unless temperatures are in the 20s or lower for 2 days, which made our December/January weather much more comfortable. The common facilities are clean and tidy, and the campgrounds well maintained. They even had a small lot where we could store our trailer at no extra charge! Best of all though, the manager is exceedingly kind and genuinely concerned about the well being of her guests. This will be our go to choice in the area!
