I purchased a radon detector (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00H2VOSP8/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and it was showing readings from 5 to over 8 picoliters of radon. 2.5 picoliters is considered safe. I contacted Home Heating and several other radon mitigation services for estimates on mitigating it. 3 of the estimates were in the $1,500 range just for the radon mitigation. Home gave me an estimate $200 to $300 less, and included a new sump pump. TJ and Paul came out to do the install. They did great work, and cleaned up after themselves. The sump is now sealed, and the radon seeping into it is being vented to the outdoors. The radon detector is now reading between .37 and .74 picoliters, well under the recommended safe levels.

My husband took time off work as he works an hour away. Unfortunately, no technician arrived. The next morning, he called and was assured that someone would be there at 4pm that day. He took additional time off work. He called at 4:30, he was told we were the next stop after the technician finished the current job. Again, no one showed up. He contacted a competitor who was able to schedule us for the next day with an exact appointment time. One thing that stood out was that every time he called, he spoke with a different person. I'm not sure what is happening with the dispatch/office processes, but the service seemed disorganized with no regard to customer service or managing expectation.

We purchased a 25 year old home and engaged the contractors that essentially built the place. The heating and air company was underwhelming to say the least. We then engaged a large local company and were also underwhelmed. Ryan Brothers is top shelf. Ryan Brothers has demonstrated again and again that they can properly handle our more complicated heating and air system. Recently Ryan Brothers essentially overhauled our entire heating and air. From the proposal to the many questions I had to the installation, the communication and care have been top notch. Every home has a personality - how things work and operate.
