That was especially frustrating because the company's own website explicitly advertises free samples as part of the buying process and says customers can describe what they need if they don't know the exact style. I was actively trying to spend money with this company and was met with zero interest in helping me make a purchase. They even did a wool serge (the cord-like stitching that goes around the rug) for $2.50 / foot which makes the rug look very nice. That price is also unheard of. Lewis (a local company) did cheap cotton binding for $5.00 / foot on a runner I ordered there. I found them just by googling "Fabrica area rugs" - and there they were. I worked with Linda, and she was very responsive to emails and accurate in all the details. She got me the quote right away. We set a delivery date. She helped rush it through a bit because another store had delayed me significantly with their inability to give me a price. So, I got a custom Fabrica 9 x 12 area rug for roughly $1000 delivered, when it was $1400-1500 here (and not even with a wool border serge - that made it around $1700 here). I love this place. Obviously they can't do wall to wall in another state, but shipping custom area rugs works quite well.

I had been a costumer since 2010 and returned a roll of carpet padding today (03/15/23) and they charged me 25%. I was sold twice the carpet and padding needed. I understand they could not take back cut to size carpet, but you would have thought they would take responsibility for telling me to measure wrongly and refund the untouched padding. The woman that is the only one that can handle refunds was very smug and passive aggressive. Though I paid with a check and they electronically removed the funds from the bank instantly she insisted they write me a check for the discounted return. Let's hope the check is good! They must not be doing very much business and need to hold on to every penny. I will let you know if the check clears. Never going back there!

I appreciated the fact that the website listed carpet quality specifications and data (like face weight) for each product. I could get a sense of the quality before ordering a sample. Samples are free, easy to order, and were delivered pretty quickly. Samples were a standard size, perhaps 6x6 inches. I ended up working with Hank himself and appreciated his concise and to the point manner. It was easy and efficient to place an order over the phone. Because we weren't local and were looking to save some money on shipping we opted to pick up the carpet roll and pad from a shipping terminal. Hank's Carpet ships all across the country. I hadn't done anything like that before so Hank explained the process and provided me with the shipping company's contact information in case I had more questions the day of pickup. They was going to leave the job unfinished if a friend of mine hadn't stepped in and told them that they couldn't leave it like that for another week since my mom would had to stay at the local motel during that time which she couldn't have done. I had to pick up after them when they left the first night where they left scraps and thier trash in the house. When I asked them to run the vacuum cleaner to remove the scraps of carpet left behind after the job was done. They refused and said that it was my job to do that. They did move the furniture back in the house.
