When the delivery people came, they didn't wipe their feet or wear booties like every other delivery people have. I was scrubbing mud off of my white chair while they were bringing in the other items. They saw me and said nothing. As they were carrying the base of the bed upstairs, they smashed a chunk of the edge of an archway going upstairs. They were bringing it back to the truck and decided to try again. I later found out how they did it. I noticed part of the cloth was hanging down from the base and one of the boards that frame the entire thing, was split into two. There was also mud on my mattress that I had to clean. They were sloppy and reckless and had no regard for the situation. I also had to clean mud off of my walls and other things in my house. I didn't realize the extent of the damage right away so nothing could be done. Customer service is minimal at best. If you are looking for good service in any way, this is not the place to go.

Ann was a pleasure to work with. She answered all of my questions with great patience and understanding. When I purchased the piece I had confidence that she would follow through and carefully pack my beautiful ceramic sculpture. Little did I know how carefully and thoughtfully she would do this. I was extremely pleased with the way this worked out. What a pleasure to unwrap this, following her directions. I don't think there could have possibly been a better way to pack this very fragile piece. Her care in providing instructions for unpacking the piece (including "TOP -- Do Not Remove") were easy to follow and provided me with a great deal of comfort in that I knew I was doing this correctly. EVERYTHING is PERFECT!! I have no idea if I will ever get to Corning to meet Ann and visit her gallery, but I am so confident in her service that I have purchased an even larger, more expensive piece from her.

A man name Robert answered while I was leaving the message, and he saved the day!! He clearly explained what the issue was and why it was not able to be fulfilled. But, most importantly, he offered a solution. Robert put together a wonderful arrangement for my mother-in-law and made the delivery after hours. Alchemy Works is pretty cool. I'm not a practicing Wiccan, but I do love their selection of herbs,…read moreseeds, and plants. I love the idea that plants have different properties or powers (for example, I use white sage for smudging rituals in my home after illness, big arguments, or in other places that I feel need to be rid of negativity). I've ordered black flower seeds (I have yet to plant them, but how cool would it be to accent your garden with black flowers?) and white sage seeds from Alchemy Works. I think that the black flower seeds must have gotten lost in the mail, because it took more than 2 months to receive them! The white sage came within about 2 weeks. The prices for seeds are very reasonable, and Alchemy Works offers seeds that aren't easily found (white sage is often harvested irresponsibly from the wild, with entire hillsides being ripped out, plus, its growing area of the Southwestern United States is often threatened by wildfires, so seeds aren't easy to find). I'll continue to order from the Alchemy Works web site and grow my own white sage responsibly. It's nice to be able to find cool seeds, plus incense, oils, and "supplies for magick," if that floats your boat, all in the same place.

Each seed packet has a custom-printed label with the botanical and common name of the plant, as well as growing instructions for that plant. Included also was a two-page document on how to germinate, grow, and cultivate Mandrake. If you're ordering online like I did, a word of caution. It took a full month from the date I placed my order until I received a confirmation e-mail stating my seeds had been shipped. An e-mail I sent to admin@alchemy-works.com went unanswered. I'd have rated Alchemy Works 5 stars if not for these two inconveniences.

This year was a bit different, I bought my tree and some gifts from their shop, I came out to this .... The man who put the tree on top of my vehicle broke my antenna, denied it, and when I asked for the manager, he proceeds to tell me he was the owner, again denied breaking it, and then tells me there is nothing for him to do, to make this right.... What's pretty sad is today I was trying to get some Holiday Spirit going, but ended up spending money here at their store, just for my brand new vehicle to be damaged.... Shame on you!

I'm reviewing this store after visiting during the grand opening. I wholly expect some things to…read morechange (such as having more used sets available), but had a great visit overall. They also note future possibilities on the website. This is an "aftermarket Lego retailer" (not an authorized Lego Store) as noted on their website. This means that even the well-priced pick-your-own used Lego bin was virtually all Lego brand.  There was a mix of already built sets to gawk at, as well as plenty of new but often already retired sets to buy on site. I saw a couple used sets and expect to see more in the future. There was an additional make-your-own minifigure bin. I didn't find the price that appealing, but many other people seemed to and there was a good amount to choose from. As for pricing of sets overall, it's likely as you would expect. Lego sets tend to go up in value as they are retired and become scarce. The main difference here is that you'll get a set for around market price, but not have to pay an additional shipping fee from an online marketplace. Plus, the security and joy of seeing the box in person, seeing the face of the person you bought it from, and putting that box under your arm the same day adds so much to the experience. I'm excited to see what the future brings for this store. On another note, I'm told they also buy used Legos directly from people. It seems to be a physical manifestation of the EmpireBricksNY storefronts on Brick Owl and BrickLink.
