While the pandemic certainly changed things, I will fondly recall evening project sessions at the shop, comparing progress, laughing and chatting with a small group. Jean has a nice selection of yarns for the size of the shop and is often happy to order items she may not carry in store. She went above and beyond when things were shut down doing deliveries in town right to people's doorsteps. Wooly Minded is an absolute gem!

Apparently they are getting tons of complaints. Four weeks ago four friends and I painted upwards of $200 worth of pottery at this studio. We have still not received our finished products in the mail nor have we heard anything from the owner, (Stephanie). I am hoping to resolve this issue and either get our pottery (which is what we really want) or get a 100% refund. However, it appears the owner has no interest in doing either of these things.

We did these as a special souvenir of our trip to Corning from Chicago. 10 days later the box arrived and we knew even before opening that it was broken as we could hear the pieces rattling around. Upon opening, there was 1 small piece of newspaper wrapped around the stem and 1 piece of bubble wrap loosely wrapped around the 2 pieces together. The stem of the glass was completely shattered so it couldn't even be glued. I left 3 messages and emailed Stephanie (owner) regarding this problem and she never even bothered to call me back. The glass was $24 and the shipping $7 and we have nothing to show for it. My daughter is extremely upset. This is very unprofessional and now I have to dispute the charge on my credit card to get my money back. This is not what you would expect from a reputable business in Corning. I would suggest not to patronize this business unless you are able to take the piece away with you since they obviously do not know how to properly ship the items and make no effort to resolve problems

Long story short 5/19/23 ~7:30 pm...My wife and daughter were headed to a theatre competition in NJ. My daughter needed a couple things and went in to the store alone while my wife waited. She was accused of stealing items while in the store. The man didn't even let her get to the cash registers before he accosted her telling her he "knew she was stealing and to empty out her pockets and roll up her sleeves because she LOOKED suspicious". She showed him she didn't have anything and he was still verbally abusive. Her Mother went in and gave the man a piece of her mind. She called me sobbing. Ridiculous. Isn't it customary to let a person go through the registers before you assault them. Huge mistake on his part. We will never visit this store again. Nice job Barney Fife.
