Eric, the Hearing Instrument Specialists knowledge of how the ear and hearing aids work together helps me to understand and use my hearing aids effectively. He addresses any concerns I have when I go to my appointments. He listens to my questions and provides me with visual as well as verbal answers to adjust my hearing aids as needed. Learning to use my hearing aids requires wearing them regularly and practice on my part, but my husband & family members are happy I'm back in the conversations again. Also, I'm thrilled to be able to adjust my hearing and be part of the conversations again when I'm out socially. They are very good about follow up, almost too good. Meaning they really do want you to be happy and hearing. I love my hearing aids. I wish I had gotten them sooner. I didn't realize how bad my hearing was until I went outside and heard all the birds for the first time in many years. My only issue bis the exorbitant price which for some reason insurance won't cover. Makes no sense at all. They will however cover you if you get hit by a car because you did not hear it. Or the depression that occurs because you can't hear well enough to have a conversation and you start to limit your social life. Go figure. But that is for our lawmakers to take care of.
