I'd encourage you to ask other residents and they'll confirm the same issues with JMC & Co, the management company. Example 2: The grills have been out of service for 4 months (April 17 - today). Ask yourself how any management company would let this happen? Example 3: JMC & Co has cut costs by eliminating the promised on-site emergency maintenance personnel. Instead they have one individual on call for properties located between Boston, Plymouth, and Providence. If you're locked out at 10pm and are second in line you'll be waiting hours to be let back into your apartment. This happens regularly. Don't rent here until you get something in writing in your lease about hot water downtime and on site emergency personnel. The prices are way too high for what you get. Oak Point offers fantastic amenities. There are three swimming pools, two hot tubs, tennis courts, a basketball gym, fitness center and billiard tables. The social director is top notch. There are plenty of activities, including concerts, dances, comedy shows, karaoke, line dancing and bingo. There are also many clubs, including a classic car club, writing club, garden club, women's club, singles club....and many, many more. Many Oak Point residents volunteer in the community and raise money for local charities and causes. For example, the Oak Point Homeowners Scholarship Association hosts an enormous yard sale every year to raise money for college scholarships for Middleboro HS graduating seniors. The landlord, Hometown America, has been stepping up its game recently. For example, the snow removal and landscaping have improved. There are still some issues, so be sure to hire a home inspector and insist he checks under the home, where some homes have had water and other issues. The monthly fee includes property taxes, trash pickup, landscaping, snow removal, sewage treatment and use of the enormous clubhouse. Took weeks to get someone to come fix it. My sink was broken and I had to get it fixed myself because no one showed up to fix it. I've been dealing with infestation of mice and roaches since I moved in and Ron hasn't done what he said he would do to make it right. I've had to contact the exterminator myself multiple times and the last time I tried reaching out to Ron about it, he blew me off and told me to figure it out myself. I have never experienced such an awful situation or landlord in all the years I've rented from anyone. Do not rent from this place. The secretary doesn't answer the phone. And when she does, she's as rude as they come. Her name is Linda. Ron and Linda should be sued and should be taken out of business. I'm currently in the middle of getting the health department involved now because Ron refuses to fix things.
