But the very expensive tree the owner sold us struggled from the beginning and died within weeks. Other plants in the same bed thrived, so we were caring for them properly (following his instructions to the letter). When we contacted Elite, the owner informed us there was no warranty. Shame on us for not checking that out earlier, but shame on him for being terse and rude when we politely asked about the tree and what we could do. The guy that seemed so nice when selling the work was gone. This change in attitude was honestly just as disappointing as the dead tree. Next time we will look for a firm that offers a warranty. It may be worth a few dollars more to have that guarantee and peace of mind.
