A&L Automotive came to my rescue while on an out of town trip last fall and I'm very grateful. It…read morewas a Saturday morning. Friend and I were driving to breakfast when all of a sudden my dashboard lit up and my car stopped working! We coasted into the nearby restaurant where we were headed thankfully. We got out and did the obvious - look under the hood for fluid leaks, smoke, etc... but nothing for the plain eye to see. I went to Yelp to see if there were any services near that could help and that is when I found this shop. I called A&L, told them what happened and they kept it real with me basically saying they didn't know what it could be either, but they could fit me in that morning to take a look. I decided to have the car towed versus trying to drive it and possibly damage it further. I asked if they knew any tow companies and they gave me info for a local company they do business with (that was also excellent btw!). Once my car arrived at A&L they let me know they were close to finishing up another vehicle and would look into mine after they were done. They have a very small waiting area which is set up nicely with a couch, tv with all entertainment you could want and a vending machine. It really is only big enough for a couple people. When it was my turn, they looked at the car while I chilled in the waiting area de-stressing watching tv. They came back, explained the problem, quoted me a price and let me know they could fix it that same morning while I waited! WOW! They did have to send someone for the part. The pricing also seemed very reasonable. I accepted. (Note I later discussed what happened with my existing local trusted mechanic and he confirmed their pricing was AMAZING as was the fact they were able to help so quickly. As a non-mechanical person there is a lot of trust that goes here). They had my problem diagnosed, resolved and paid for all in a few hours. I was very impressed! My friend even stated this was a blessing as many shops have waiting lists right now for basic items. Summary - USE this shop! Take your car here! They are trustworthy, efficient, affordable and no bs. They do what they say they can do and they are upfront about now being able to diagnose without seeing the vehicle.

They did this for free and offered me to come back if I thought it still had a problem. Really nice people that are honest and fair. I'd recommend these guys all day long. Thank you!

We drove 1800 miles from Reno, NV into Branson, MO for a summer vacation. Somewhere along the way we picked up a nail in the sidewall so there is no patching- No reputable tire shop should recommend that a patch be installed on a sidewall puncture. And this shop appropriately and politely informed me that no repair was possible. My vehicle is an all wheel drive SUV. Tire shops should always recommend replacing all 4 tires because mismatched tire brand, tread design, tread depth, have the potential to damage your all wheel drive system. Their first suggestion was the proper one, to change all 4 tires. Being on vacation we didn't want to spend that much on the only set of tires that they had available. I guess they first perceived that we maybe were unable to pay for an entire set and offered to order the same brand to replace the one tire and advised me to replace the other 3 when we got back to Reno. I still didn't want to run the 1800+ miles with unmatched tire tread depths. I convinced the manager that I was ok with an inexpensive tire set that I could just use to make it back to Reno. His only hesitance was because he was genuinely concerned about quality work and the reputation of his shop. He ordered the agreed upon tire set, and had it expedited to the shop so that we could get them installed the next day. They didn't even require that we prepay for the special order. I not only recommend this shop, but I commend them on their dedication to quality and the needs of the customer and just good old pride and doing what they feel is right for the customer. Thank you Mitchem Tire of Branson, MO
