I'm writing this review with a heavy heart after my recent experience with Eagle Community Credit Union. As a non-profit institution, I expected empathy and support, especially during a challenging time. Unfortunately, my experience left me feeling deeply unsupported and disheartened. Despite informing them of my job loss and the challenges I faced, my requests for help, such as waiving late fees, were denied. This lack of empathy was particularly painful, especially compared to other credit unions I've dealt with in the past, who were more understanding and accommodating. Moreover, the damage caused by their subcontracted recovery company was compounded by both the subcontractor and Eagle Community Credit Union's refusal to provide insurance information. This lack of transparency made an already difficult situation feel even more isolating. In conclusion, due to this lack of empathy and accountability, I will strongly recommend that others avoid opening an account or conducting any business with Eagle Community Credit Union. Their response showed a concerning lack of accountability and compassion. read more

I recently financed a vehicle through Eagle Community Credit Union. I was quickly and easily approved in minutes while at the dealership and received wonderfully helpful new customer assistance from Pauline Meade, my loan processor. My satisfaction with this lender turned to frustration quite quickly when I learned they have failed to set up some form of autopay that would enable me to schedule recurring payments. I have exceptional credit largely because I put everything on autopay. If I become ill, injured, or engage in extended travel...my creditors and my FICOs are protected...the monthly payments are unaffected, and the timely remittance of debts continue without issue. Now how does a company whose business includes financing of automobiles fail to have a simple autopay option? Who is running this business? Is he or she wearing shoes with Velcro laces? It is the #1 PRIORITY OF EVERY BUSINESS to excel at taking funds from eager customers wishing to remit payment! These are easily implemented programs (both canned and available online by numerous 3rd party providers) and takes a day to implement. I own and run four businesses and we make it easy for customers and clients to pay us. Forcing your loan processors to apologize because you cannot figure out how to TAKE THE MONEY via autopay is gross negligence and whoever the "suit" is that is responsible for this senseless lapse of business acumen well...you do not have common sense, much less business sense. Autopay PROTECTS YOUR BUSINESS as much as it provides convenience for customers...don't you see that? What do you do all day? What could possibly be more important than TAKING THE MONEY??? Now I gotta look for a replacement lender so I don't have to worry about making timely car payments. That's entirely your fault for failing to address the obvious. I can only shake my head at the idiocy of this credit union's upper management. I don't know what you do all day at your desk but it certainly isn't more important than correcting this singular EPIC FAILURE. You set the customer support bar so low, we need a backhoe to find it. Beware of Eagle Community Credit Union if you are a travel professional or anyone who values honesty and fair treatment. I recently applied for membership at Eagle CCU, was approved, issued a membership number, and even pre-approved for a $20,000 credit card line. I was completely transparent about my role as a travel nurse -- a profession where moving every few months is normal. After working directly with one of their staff, I was welcomed as a new member and told everything was in order. Then, without warning, Eagle CCU abruptly reversed their approval, citing "address history." This is not only unfair, but it is exactly the kind of mobility that comes with being a travel nurse (or anyone who relocates frequently for work, military, or family reasons). To add insult to injury, my credit card pre-approval was also arbitrarily denied immediately after applying -- despite excellent credit (FICO 765, 1% utilization, no derogatories, 20+ years of credit history). Regrettably, I trusted Eagle CCU as a consumer-focused credit union. Instead, I was subjected to treatment that felt discriminatory, arbitrary, and profoundly disrespectful. No opportunity to clarify, no chance to cure alleged issues, and no accountability. If this is how Eagle CCU treats new members -- approving, welcoming, and then reneging -- consumers should think twice before trusting them with their finances. Absent resolution, I will be escalating this matter to NCUA & any and all regulators, but I feel it is important that other consumers are warned about how quickly Eagle CCU can turn its back on members, even those with excellent credit and income. I am hopeful that this matter may be reviewed by the Credit Union to reach a more favorable outcome and not penalize me for the nature of my job ! read more

5 STARS We ave been customers of Eagle for years and years. Unfortunately, lately service is failing and complaints are higher. If it's anything like the treatment/poor service we received from Romero in Anaheim, I can understand why. We believe it's best to find out the issue before making accusatory accusations?? Romero was blatantly rude with his assumptions and perhaps needs more training on diversity as he was extremely stereotypical in his thinking. It seems this Branch is a revolving door of employees since Pam left some time ago... Romero should be more focused on performing a good job rather than his stereotypical ideology. Eagle Community is amazing. I learned of them when I got my first auto loan with them. They had the best interest rate compared to the competition approvals. I in turn referred 2 of my children and am referring others soon. I also just got a 2nd auto loan with them with an amazing rate! The cash back checking acct offered is filled with rewards! I paid off my balance for my car loan much earlier than expected, because I was completely over working with Eagle Community Credit Union. They have the worst customer service and no one is reliable. On the second to last call I made to double check that my payment was received, the person mistakenly told me my balance was actually much higher and that I paid the wrong amount. Then when I talked to a different person, she told me she received payment and everything was completely paid off. Over a month later, I still haven't received anything in the mail. Honestly, these are the worst people to deal with, and I would suggest taking your business elsewhere. read more

I went to my ATM at Eagle Community Credit Union on 24336 Rockfield Blvd. in Lake Forest. I stopped to get cash from the ATM. Again it was Out of Service, this is at least the third time this has happened to me. I have been a loyal customer for at least 17 years. You struck out, in my book. I will move my account to my wife's credit union of which I have been a member for 12 years. They are much closer to home and they have two ATM open 24 seven. My decision is final. Good Buy. Love this office. All tellers and managers are always here to help and have such a great attitude. If there are more than 3-4 people in line esp during the rush hour times like lunch or after work time managers will come out and help people waiting in line. The office is small but does its job. The last time I was there I needed to replace my lost ATM card. The whole process took less than 15mins. Another great reason why I like using credit unions instead of large banks. Hopefully they will do away with overdraft fees. read more

Original review: If I can give them a -0 I would let me start off by saying I support Credit Unions. I started with this branch in Placentia California it was moved to the worst location in the world Anaheim every time I go to the ATM I feel like I'm getting ready to get mugged. But with all that aside I stuck with Eagle Credit Union. One of the first few encounters that caused me to move my savings to my other bank was they do didn't approve the transfer of funds from my savings to my checking and allowed a very important check to bounce over a holiday weekend and of course they don't have Automatic banking you have to actually download the app and hope that it works correctly or go to the ATM their ATM mind you because even cash gets held 3 to 6 days when not deposited in their ATM. The last straw I moved money from my Checking to Savings and choose the wrong account ..... my son's account so I called thinking oops I made a mistake let me call the bank so they can reverse this (mind you I call less than 3 mins after transaction to let them know of mistake) I was told that there's nothing that can be done. I asked if I come down to the office to show you it's really me and the money needs to go back to my account the rep told me she spoke with her supervisor and once the money is moved they can't go into the account to moved it back..... can't you just delete the transaction... No....... Nothing we can do. So the only option I have is wait for my sons return in Six months so he can move money back to my account. And before you ask NO I CAN'T CONTACT MY SON FOR SIX months. RUN DO NOT WALK AWAY FROM THIS CREDIT UNION JOIN ANY OTHER BUT THIS ONE!!!!!!!! read more

My credit union doesn't have locations in Orange County, Eagle Community Credit Union takes deposits for my credit union (for FREE!). The location is a little tucked away from the main streets, but it is easy to find. I am seriously considering joining this credit union because they are so nice. read more

I had come in for a car loan and had to make a new account with Eagle Credit Union. Upon walking in I was greeted by the welcoming staff. I originally went to another eagle credit union in garden grove and was asking if I can transfer over the work. Lisa helped transfer everything over quickly. Unfortunately, we could not sign the same day as they needed more paperwork from me and they were closing soon. However, the next day she had Rene (another employee) pre-setup all the paperwork for us to sign and I was able to get my new car that same day. My experience with both of them was amazing they both were knowledgeable and were able to get me to understand quickly. We have to use shared branching as our bank is not in the area. Eagle is closest to our new home and we have been very happy with them so far. Plenty of easy parking and nice staff, no lines to wait in so far. Clean location, descent hours, this will be our go to bank close to home from now on. read more

I bank with a credit union up north but I can do my banking business with any credit union that is within the co-op network - such as this one. I went to go deposit a check at another credit union - that only has a co-op ATM - and it got declined. They couldn't help me inside so I had to hunt for another one and voila! This is actually closer to work with two ATMs and a drive up ATM. The check still didn't work at the ATM for some reason so I had to go inside and have it processed. I can't remember the last time I've walked into a bank but they were able to help me out, get my issue resolved and deposit the check into my account. Overall, very friendly from the get go, service was quick, and I was on my way back home. read more

Is there any negative star I can rate? This credit union is fraud. They do everything they can to take money from the customer. They don't accept car insurance paperworks as proof of my husband car loan and charged us $1000. Our car insurance company did contact with them but still they keep charging us reliabilities saying we didn't have an insurance. My husband kept emailing them providing the proof and calls.... GUESS WHAT! THEY REPO HIS CAR!!!! he pays car payments every months. They has been refused to talk to him a couple of times. Finally he reached them and they still claim we owe them when we NEVER owe them. We have been fighting with them on same issue over 2 years. I would refer all my friends and family to Eagle Community Credit Union, they have been so great. First of all, they gave me a better rate for my car loan than other companies, and the guy even came to my work so I could sign the paper work. I like that they seem more like a small business rather than a corporation, and one time I was late and they were so kind about it, they called and asked if everything was ok and didn't charge me a late fee!!!! All their telephone lines are not working. Just get a fast busy signal that stops after three rings. Their website is not working either. I tried using the ask the CEO feature and it would not work from my mobile phone. Tried logging into both the App and Web. I used proper login ID and password. I am locked out and unable to do any banking remotely, which I need to do urgently. Hope someone from Eagle CU sees this and responds, since it seems Yelp might be the only way to communicate. Should I be worried? Update - Once I got through. I was able to get setup with their new mobile banking system quickly and easily. ECU rep was courteous, friendly and helpful. Other than this hiccup with their new online banking software and phone lines, I have been very satisfied with ECCU. A longtime member going on almost 20 years. read more
