The food was good, but there were several things we tried to order, but they were out of those options, so we may have enjoyed them more than what we settled for. Everything from the asparagus to the meats was pretty heavy in black pepper and spices, so it tended to be spicy, which not everyone at the table appreciated. It might not have seemed so spicy if the food was served with some type of bread like at most other bbq type places. We did enjoy the pickles and onion on the plate as the vinegar cut some of the fattines that meat tends to have. One was the sweet potato fries, which were super delicious and the other was their homemade applesauce, which was absolutely amazing. They had lots of sauces on the table to choose from. I really liked the classic barbecue and the Berry one. Everything tasted good. Our waitress was amazing and helped us pick up breakfast spot for the next morning. She was also just a really great waitress and super attentive. I would definitely recommend coming here.

Given it's double the price of a single meat platter, I expected it to comfortably feed two. On the platter were two solid ribs, a quarter dark chicken, and one hot link which were all solid sharing portions. Brisket which I understand would be one of the more expensive items - was one slice plus a sliver of a dry end attached to it. I'm not sure if that's one slice or a one slice plus what one was counting as a second slice. This was a disappointing mark - I thought about asking the server about whether we should have at least a full second slice. Pulled pork - to me is a much less expensive item compared to brisket - yet a relatively small amount. Not as egregious as the easily measured brisket. Cole slaw - even if it was made in house as opposed a commercial bulk supplier, this is a low cost item no? Small dish. Quality is very good - just a question of the quantity. Tap water here seems filtered for neutral taste. It was a nice day on a quiet Sunday afternoon so we opted to get seated outside on the patio with umbrella shade. Traffic going by was light and quiet. Two servers available during the lull while we were there and the worked as a team to check on us outside.

It was about 5:30 on a Friday and the bar area had a smattering of patrons and the dining room was about a third full. We were immediately seated. Our waitress took our drink order promptly and our food order. We were surprised that it took a bit for our food to come out since most barbecue focused places have the food out in a flash. I ordered the half rack of St Louis ribs which were fall off the bone tender and very juicy. Just a touch of sauce was needed. I liked them a lot. My wife loved her brisket dinner. I did not care for their baked beans - they had a very strong flavor I did not like but my wife did. The seasoned potatoes were good and a big serving. The big problem was our server was impossible to flag down once she took our order. Others delivered the food and responded to our attempts to get help. It was somewhat busy but that was no excuse for her lack of attention. Fortunately a different waitress stepped in.
