I called yesterday for a ticking in my dryer, with a husband in construction it's not unusual for us to wash and then dry screws!!!! The woman who answered the phone was incredibly professional and kind, was able to give me basic pricing and set the appointment for today between 8-10 Eddie showed up at 9:30, he was dressed professionally and wore a mask, he went right to work, he found the "noise maker" and that was it!!! It was another day in the kitchen using my dishwasher or so I thought it was. I went turn it on and it started doing its thing. A short while after I noticed a small lake in my kitchen and thought hmmm this doesn't look normal. As you can imagine, I realized pretty quickly that something was wrong so I turned off the dishwasher. I looked up appliance places and found E-ROD. They were very responsive to send out one if there technicians. When he arrived he was very quick to identify and repair the problem. Eddie was his name. I'm always careful when talking to someone with the same name because I feel like I might start taking to myself in the third person but that's a me thing. None the less... Eddie was great! I mean Eddie from E-ROD was great. Anyway, the trouble turned out to be a valve that failed and caused water to burst all over the place. After repairing the appliance he offered some additional suggestions to mitigate the water park in my kitchen. When these types of things happen, they can be stressful and it's good when you can get it taken care of quickly which is what E-ROD did for me. read more

Eddie came within the time frame that was given. Very nice and personable. I have an older gas range which needed a new oven igniter. I was quoted what I thought was a reasonable price including parts and labor. I called back bc I thought, I'm getting oven fixed, the gas burners may need a new igniter as well. Turns out, the gas burners only needed to be cleaned (which I did do, but not deep enough...) which saved me $$$ right there. Really happy. On Sunday I called in a claim on my not so old refrigerator, Asurion gave me an all day window for Wednesday. Eddie contacted me and was at our home on Tuesday. He was punctual, very knowledgeable and professional. He assessed the problem almost immediately. He explained why water had been leaking into my vegetable drawer and unclogged the lines that were causing the leak. He diagnosed, repaired, cleaned up and was gone in about 30 minutes. Thank You! I needed the dryer vent and washer hose replaced and they came to repair it within 24 hours of my call. Eduardo was so great! He gave me some good advice and answered all of my questions. It's so great to have someone provide a service to a woman without making her feel like I'm a complete idiot (which happens to me with repair guys most of the time). Eduardo was one of the nicest guys that has ever performed repairs for me and I would highly recommend E-Rod to anyone looking for a variety of appliance repair services. It was my first time ever asking someone to come look at our fridge (ice maker and freezer were not working). I called E-Rod and the same day a technician came by to examine our fridge. I cannot express their honesty and integrity in their work. I was told that the compressor of our fridge had gone bad but our particular model came with a 5 year warranty on the compressor. I was advised to call the company (Kenmore/Sears) directly for the repair. Another company had quoted me $600 to repair the compressor but never mentioned anything about warranty. I paid the E-Rod technician a diagnostic fee but at least I am rest assured this can be taken care of under warranty. Thank you E-Rod! read more

Eddy at E-Rod Appliance Service is fantastic! My fairly new (but out of warranty) KitchenAid dishwasher wasn't draining properly. He came, quickly assessed the problem, fixed it, and quadruple checked that he really fixed it. He was honest, clear, knowledgeable, very careful, tidy, and fairly priced. He will always be my first repair person to call. As a side note, it's very hard to find honest well-reviewed appliance repair people online (so go with Eddy first!). Be especially careful if you see "Your City Name Repair Service" as most of these aren't real local businesses -- it appears to be some sort of call center. For Pasadena, you'll notice that at least 4 different companies send out a guy named "Art" to do repairs - and whenever the company gets bad reviews on Yelp, they seem to re-open under a different name. read more

I started my glorious Sunday morning by walking into my kitchen and seeing the much-dreaded puddle of water in front of my beautiful, stainless steel GE refrigerator. Upon inspection, I realized that my freezer had stopped freezing, and the refrigerator portion was rapidly rising in temperature. Yayyyy! I called E-Rod Appliance Service because they seemed to have great reviews on Yelp and other sites... ...and they were all right! Eddie is the absolute BEST! Their inspection fee is fair, and the best part is that they credit the inspection fee toward the final cost of your repairs. Our GE fridge wasn't easy to fix, though. It was quite a doozy, as Eddie had to come back numerous times to try and figure out what was going on. Every "solution" failed, one right after the other. When it looked as though a solution to our problem would not be found, Eddie even offered us a FULL refund minus the initial inspection fee if his efforts did not pay off. However...Eddy troubleshooted our blasted fridge until he successfully found the source of the problem! The fridge now works like NEW! I could not speak more highly of the owner and our repair guy, Eddie. He is punctual, professional, and very friendly! I HIGHLY recommend this company. Eddie came out within the designated time frame and replaced a motor in my freezer and also fixed my refrigerator door. Everything is working perfectly now and he finished in a short amount of time. Another company had come out before and didn't do anything, the other company told me to not put ketchup or mustard in the door shelves and to defrost the freezer to stop the rattle but that actually made it worse. I called them to fix a Kenmore Elite front loading washer that wasn't draining. They could have easily told me the pump was shot and I would have paid to replace it. Instead, they cleaned out the pump and it worked fine. The price was reasonable, and I would use them again. read more

Came again on time on the day the part arrived and installed it. Also happened to have the part in his van for a 2nd problem I mentioned for the freezer and installed that for just the cost of the part without adding to the labor charge. My refrigerator suddenly stopped working, and that was how I had the good fortune of meeting Eddy. He was able to squeeze me into his schedule, and came to my rescue promptly. He quickly isolated the problem to the compressor starter. Before he replaced it, he clearly explained to me and my wife about the possibility that the compressor itself could be bad, and that would be much more expensive to fix. It turned out to be as I feared -- the deeper problem was the compressor. Along the way, Eddy discovered electrical issues that could be a contributing cause, and advised us on taking care of it ASAP. Although it was bad news, Eddy was able to let us know where things stood, and what our options were. Overall, I appreciated Eddy's professionalism, his skills, knowledge, not to mention his friendly attitude. He gave us helpful advice, enabling us to make sensible plans to get through this obstacle. We are glad to have gotten to know Eddy and it makes us comfortable knowing we can call upon his expertise in the future. read more

HI...The other night I had just returned home from work at 8 pm and I was looking forward to a relaxing evening. When I went to my refrigerator, the entire door fell off in my hands and tumbled clumsily onto the floor, spilling out its entire content! I was shocked! In all my years as a house-owner or apartment dweller - this never happened to me before! I quickly called my landlady, which after 30 minutes and no reply, I decided must be busy. And so I set out to find a 24-hour refrigerator repair service. Wow, was that hard! Thankfully and through an appliance agent, I found E-Rod. The repairperson was courteous and what luck - a Frigidaire specialist. He arrived within 30 minutes and remounted both my freezer and refrigerator door in another 30 minutes. I am always fearful when I get an appliance repair service selected by the insurance company. But this time was amazing.
