Earlier this week, I purchased on-line a Cooke S4i 12mm Single from E Prime Rentals for around $20,000. I had agonized for several weeks over purchasing this new or used. New, it was an expensive lens. I had not purchased a lens from EPR previously. Were they a reputable company? Was their inspection comments to be believed? I then decided to give EPR a try since their return policy was commendable. So I sent them a wire transfer. The same day, I received an order confirmation, and shortly afterwards, a shipping confirmation. Boy, that was quick! Maybe this company was to be believed. Shipping was included, and there was no Texas sales tax ( at 8.25%) added to the cost. This was looking like a great deal. About 48 hours after order confirmation, FedEx showed up at my door with the lens. I immediately inspected the lens for any use and/or abuse. The lens mount was snug as it should be. The focusing and zoom rings were solid and firm without any sloppiness or wear. No dents or scratches on the lens body. The EPR inspection comments stated that there were faint scratches on the front lens elements. My inspection showed no scratches anywhere. Maybe the EPR inspector's reading glasses were dirty? In summation, I feel like I received a "NIB" lens that showed no wear or flaws. Will I buy my next lens from E Prime Rentals?....Yes! Would I recommend EPR to another serious filmmaker?....Yes! To E Prime Rentals, I want to say thank you, you have vastly exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to my next purchase from you. read more

I don't normally write reviews, but I simply had to in this case. This is the best customer service and quality I've ever experienced from an online photo/video company (hands down). Their team is quick to respond and their prices were more than fair. I'm a young filmmaker based out of Los Angeles, and I'm growing my business this year, so every dollar counts and I really can't afford to make bad purchases. I just purchased a set of Cooke S4i Mini's from E Prime Rentals, and I couldn't be happier with the transparency, speed of service, and price point. They also earned my long-term business for their quality and customer service. I've made a few rentals last summer with E Prime Rentals. I always get the gear I want, at a fair price and can purchase insurance - which I always do just-in-case. I can also price ahead exactly what the gear will cost me, which is a great relief. When I get the gear, it's what I was promised and clean. Shipped with great protection. Always with carrying cases. I rented Canon 400 mm f4 from EPR. They were prompt and fast with their communication. Shipping was fast, they also provide return label, which is nice. Other rental places don't except for BL. The lens is absolutely awesome. The lens was in excellent condition. I want to say mint condition, I guess because it is so expensive that no one rents it? just my guess. But anyways I used it indoors on both occasions. First I photographed local artist performance in LA in very low lite conditions. The lens is not that heavy i tried photographing hand held with no issues. However i recommend at least monopod for stability. I would definitely recommend EPR and personally i would rent again from them. Next big concert i will be photographing is in mid July so i hope they will have this lens for me. read more

Last time, I had a GoPro ordered, I was unable to send the camera back in time due to bad weather (I was still in Houston TX and I live in Glendora, CA) and the lady on the phone extended my term by 1 day without any penalty fees! First time I have used a rental company and it could not have been easier. I was most concerned about how shipping the item back worked. E Prime Rentals makes it just about fool proof. You ship it back in the same box, they provide the shipping label and tape to tape up the box. You drop it off at the FedEx drop location and you are done. Been meaning to write a short review. It was a pleasure renting from your company and look forward to doing so again in the future. I cannot say how good of an image it reflects when items are packed with care. Not some box that looks like it had been reused many times over. Everything arrived on time and no issues shipping to my place of employment which is located in Blountstown, Florida. Condition of the lens was flawless and virtually no major signs of use, very minimal body wear. Only minor complaint is being charged at time of rental request when using the site. But it was made very clear on the site numerous times. Once again it is a very minor complaint and had I called up to do the reservation I would have been charged at time of my rental shipping. I never wrote a review on here before but been quite active for many years looking for nearby stores. I ran across E Prime Rentals and bought a used Red Pro Prime lens that I otherwise wouldn't have been able to afford new. The item's cosmetic condition is lightly worn (as they described) but honestly, I was expecting worse so I am quite happy with what I got. The important part is that it works beautifully - it's easily the best lens I've ever owned and my new favorite. I'm super pleased I bought this lens from them. Definitely worth it! I haven't even received my lenses yet and am already impressed with their customer service. Due to a FedEx epic failure I didn't receive my lenses on the scheduled day. I emailed customer service simply to notify them of the FedEx issue and they immediately offered to extend the rental period a day. When I related that I appreciated the offer but it wouldn't be any benefit to me since I would be leaving town and not able to take advantage of the extension; they told me they would credit me for the lost day of rental. It wasn't even their problem (FedEx falsified an attempted delivery report) and they stepped up to provide excellent customer service. Hard to find these days but highly noted and duty regarded. I'm sticking with E Prime Rentals. LensProToGo let me down several times and E Prime Rentals is the best alternative. read more

My first review but I ordered a pretty expensive camera from them, that was more than at least half the price so I was a little skeptical but I figured I'd try anyway. I was not disappointed! I contacted them about the camera and shortly afterwards they emailed me to confirm my order and then they shipped it to me and even included tracking in the email they sent. The whole process with E Prime Rentals has been outstanding (up until the very end, hence 4 not 5 stars!) -- the website is terrific and easy to use, with a good selection of lenses and cameras. Once ordered, the confirmatory communication was complete and informative, giving me good confidence the correct items would be delivered on time. Packaging, which is also used to return, was extremely good and the whole return process was excellent . . . except that a week after receipt of an email confirming they had received the returned items but needed now to clean and check, I still haven't received confirmation that all is in order and the website doesn't provide any information either. UPDATE: I purchased another lens from them and the process was even better.! I've always been weary about purchasing used equipment without seeing it and testing it out for myself. But E Prime Rentals has never let me down I've turned many of my friends over to using E Prime Rentals instead of other "well known" stores based in Phoenix they have a used selection of gear but they always seem to be closed for holiday when you need something shipped out. E Prime Rentals has always shipped out quickly and packaged my purchase in a ton of bubble wrap and foam. I purchase high end gear from them ($50k range or higher) I honestly can't say anything bad about the company and I'm grateful there are options for me outside of the typical places I've purchased used gear from. Don't hesitate if there's something you want or even if they don't have it in stock! I've emailed them about gear I'm looking for and received a response typically in the same day from an actual person with an accurate estimate of when they would have the camera, lens or accessories I'm looking for. I recently purchased a Master Prime Set of 7 for $120,000. FJSInternational and Jeff Roberts are two other great alternatives for high end gear but E Prime Rentals is on my top list. They not only sell gear. You can also rent out gear even if you're not with the LGBT group. Great service from a great company! read more

I ordered a used Cooke S5/i 100mm 1.4 lens for my set. Got the lens at a great price. It was in better condition than stated in the description. The lens is flawless and came with the caps, original box and paperwork. I feel like I just got a new lens for 60% the cost. The customer service was great too. They called me to confirm my order and when I didn't initially answer they sent me an email letting me know they called to confirm my order. After a quick phone call back to them they shipped my order the same day. Fast free shipping w/ signed delivery required. They packed my lens in a oversized box with lots of air cushion wrap. I ordered on Wednesday morning and received my lens on Friday morning. I can't express how happy I am with my whole experience with E Prime Rentals.
