I've been coming here for about three or four years! They are like family to me now! They can do intricate designs too, and even make textures on your nails. All you have to do is ask. And if you wanna try something new and you don't like it, they never throw an attitude or have a tantrum they're more than happy to experiment with creativity! Worst pedicure I have ever had. It was rushed, they had multiple people tag-teaming my service. Although they had a bowl liner, they weren't using sterile or clean tools & took an unclean tricked out hand mixer to sand my feet, then wiped off the dead skin with his hand and put it back on the shelf he got it- to be used again. Clearly the state needs to inspect this place because not only was the hygiene terrible, but the extension cord taped to the pedicure chair where an electric appliance (hand mixer) would be used over a tub of water was new & unexpected & concerning. Thank god a mixer hadn't been dropped in the water because a staff member or customer could be electrocuted. My nails were rushed but came out basically as I had envisioned. Unfortunately, there's no apex to them, so they're not very strong & I had one break a few days later. I won't be going back & I encourage you to find somewhere else to go too. read more

I have been here twice. The first time I got a manicure. I thought the place was very dirty and unorganized. I have tried many different places in the area to find a good one. Z Nails is at the bottom of my list. I went again recently and... same thing. SO dirty and unorganized. I got a pedicure this time. They used an actual mixer, with sand paper. That's all they had. I saw many around the spa. Yes was shocked about this. It was way too violent and clipped me a few times. Last, the bottom of my feet are now extremely rough and sensitive. I am so disappointed in Z nails. I would NOT recommend this place. read more

I really like coming here because the staff always does a great job with my nails! They are often busy so I'd recommend coming early on a weekday or make an appointment. However, because they can be short staff you may have to wait longer. The ambiance is a bit more noisy so if you're looking for a spa like ambiance this isn't your typical salon. I have been going to this salon for 2 years and it is now under new management and i just had the worst salon experience i have ever had in my life, there was 3 different people that did my pedicure. The first which was the owner i believe was actually good but she had to stop my pedicure so she could start another customers manicure, the second person that started on my pedicure was a older male and he acted disgusted with my feet from the start even though he was wearing gloves he acted as if my feet were infected and it made me very uncomfortable, he also kept staring at me with this dirty look and stared at me the whole time as the first and third nail techs did their part. The third person that continued my pedicure was a older woman and she did a fairly good job but didn't wear gloves AT ALL and she was definitely rushing not doing a thorough job i even had to remind them that hot wax was apart of the pedicure i chose, she was trying to rush so much that she tried to start on my manicure before she was even close to finishing my pedicure and left my hand soaking for so long that i removed my hand from the water and the older male came and physically put my hand back in the water. My manicure looks like child's work you can see the bed of my nails because the woman butchered them so low, i would have been better off biting all of my nails off LOL. Needless to say the paint job was also terrible not a single nail is smooth at all. The older male continued to stare at me the whole time i got my manicure. My birthday is in 2 days and i am not happy with my nails at all. I usually don't bring race into things like this but i definitely felt rushed and there was no sense of hospitality when it came to me, I am a black male with dreadlocks and i felt discriminated because of that. All i received was $20 off a $160 bill (2 manicures, 1 pedicure). I will never return to Z nails. read more

The staff is extremely friendly and aims for perfection. I am very picky when it comes to my nails, but my technician took special time and care to make sure everything was done well. The place is VERY CLEAN. They use a new set of tools on each customer (I saw her open it in from of me). I know this sounds like it should be a given, but unfortunately they don't do this at all nail salons. The inside of the spa is spacious, very aesthetically pleasing, and great for groups. They take reservations and accommodate walk-ins as well. They have so many different options for nail colors and gel colors, which I love. They offer the dip powder nails, which I didn't get done personally, but am sure they do a great job. Instead of going home after his last customer, I saw one of the technicians practice his technique to ensure precision in his free time. Also, my toe nails hadn't completely dried before I put my shoes back on and went home, so the polish on my big toe got a little smudged. I came back in the next day (without calling) and Vivian was super welcoming and kind. She fixed my polish and even touched up the rest of my pedicure for free. Couldn't ask for better customer service. Vivian has made drastic improvements to Z nails ever since she bought the store and took over. PS - Vivian told me that they will be starting a punch card reward system in April, so be on the look out for that! read more

I had been going to another nail salon in Liberty for years and have recently been feeling quite underwhelmed with the quality of work I was receiving. I had heard good things about z nails from a few friends on Facebook and decided to give them a try. My mom and I went on a Tuesday evening right around 6. We got right in. My mom got the basic pedi and I got whatever option is two upgrades from that. We were both extremely pleased with the quality of detail of both technicians. My polish lasted over a month and it was so relaxing. The leg massage was wonderful. If you're in the market for a new nail salon, or even if you already love your salon, give z nails a try. Horrific. As soon as I left after getting a mani/pedi that took THREE hours I went across town to have them totally redone at a different salon (Gel Nails/Spa) the powder on my nail was so thick and disgusting looking. This was after two customers got into an argument. It was dirty and old, dimly lighted. Every person who came in was basically told "10 mins" and stayed for well over an hour. I just had the absolute worst experience at a nail salon. I walked in about 10 minutes after open(9am) and there was a couple of people already seated, no biggie. She sat me right away and got foils on my nails then walked away. After about 30 minutes they started to burn, and she had not gotten back to me so I took them off as best as I could. I got most of the already dip polish off, and she rushed back and said no they need to soak longer, which was unbelievable considering at most they should soak is 10 minutes, and I had already gotten the polish off. She insisted and refoiled and left my station again saying "just 5 more minutes". Another lady walked in stating she had an appointment at 11, and she knew she was early(an hour and 20 minutes early) and she proceeded to help her with her nails. After another 10 minutes I took them off again, cause there is no need for my nails to be foiled. And she said there was still powder and she refused to do my nails while there was still powder on them, and refoiled again. I told her they just needed to be buffed and she argued saying "5 more minutes". I sat again, severely unhappy as she was working on someone else and they other mail techs weren't doing anything I took the foils off and left. read more

I went in to get a v cut French tip and left with the complete opposite. I'm an extremely non confrontational person and I asked for my nails shorter and they left them long. The dip powder is on my nails so thick my nails hurt. The price sheet says it's $41 for a dip set, I left after spending $84 for something I didn't even want!!!! Again I'm extremely non confrontational but I don't think you should have to be to get your nails done when you said exactly what you wanted and it was extremely upsetting seeing my nails because they're so long and just not want I asked for. read more

I paid $57 for a premium/massage pedicure and the tech did not do any massage much less extra massage & my daughter who got the basic pedicure was done at the same time as me. If they charge $30 extra for a premium pedicure they should include the extra service that is paid for. I will not go back again. read more

I made an appointment for 12. I understand they just opened up after the quartentien. So I expected them to be a little busy. I waited 35 mins before they started on my nails! I get 5 or 10. But 35 is unacceptable. After he started he told me the credit card machine was down and it was cash only. Why didn't they tell me that when I waited the 35 mins? I could got cash while I waited. With that said they did a good job. But just plan on being there a long time to wait. read more

My daughter Sarah & I came here to get manicures w/Gel polish & Spa pedicures before we went on vacation a couple weeks ago. We made an appointment & were taken immediately when we arrived. Everything was very clean & each pedicure chair basin has a disposable liner & nail tool kit, so no worry about germs passing from one client to the next. Staff is very warm & friendly, got us a beverage to sip while we relaxed. Excellent job done w/both services, we were very happy w/the end results! Wow. Excellent. Clean shop, disposable tools and lined pedicure tubs (cleanliness is a BIG DEAL here!!) I was a walk in appointment. I was warmly greeted, and assisted in deciding what kind of pedicure I wanted. All the technicians speak wonderful English, so the conversations were easy and friendly. I usually go to a shop in Lees Summit for my nail care... I will begin driving all the way up here to give them my business. It was THAT good!! Also, apparently this shop is under new ownership as of about 6 months ago, so if you've had a negative experience here before then, I HIGHLY suggest you come back and check this place out!!! read more

I'm in from out of town and wanted a gel mani and pedi. I wish this salon were in my hometown. The staff is skilled, kind, and speaks English extremely well. The place is new and CLEAN! they line each pedicure sink with disposable liners. I got picky about the design on my toes and the staff redid them without making me feel bad at all. Went there twice. Pretty expensive. Charged me the same price as a full set for just a fill! Second time and the last time I went, one of the ladies cut me while doing my nails.. Still charged full price while I was bleeding heavily. Went to get cut checked immediately after so it wouldn't get infected. Never will go back and I will never recommend it. read more

While I did receive a beautiful pedicure, I was disappointed in my service. I researched reviews on this place before coming here and chose it because reviews said the technicians spoke very good English and the cleanliness was impeccable. I was grateful for the cleanliness because my nail tech spoke very little English and didn't understand me when I told him how much he was hurting me. I tried to convey that I had broken my toe a year before and he couldn't yank around on it, but he didn't understand. Also, it was the most painful cuticle trimming experience I've ever had at a nail salon. It was so uncomfortable and I made that clear but he didn't ease up and ended up cutting me and causing a lot of bleeding. He did follow procedure to make sure it was cleaned and none of my blood got on anything else for future customers but I left feeling mutilated more than pampered. I'm writing my review a month later because I wanted to see if my cut ever got infected. It did not. So that does speak well of their cleanliness, but I will not be returning. Ouch. read more

I Went there when they first open... Never again will i go there... They Change new owners... I usually get dipping powder and it only take about 40 mins...and Pedicure about 40 mins but this last time i was in there for 4 hours or more... the lady that did my pedicure used a CAKE MIXTURE and she add a sand paper under the tool and turn on that machine.. MAN my CALLUSES were Flying like Cake Batter all over her clothes... that was NASTY... SEEM to Help my Calluses but 4 days later my feet were sore as a Muthafucka couldn't walk at work...I never see any nail salon Using this Machine... Im not sure if THE CAKE MIXTURE is ILLEGAL.. About my Dipping Powder... the new owner didn't seem to know what he was doing and i guess the chick that came to help was his wife she tried to help... but wasn't helpful.. it was useless.. she try to say oh its the base coat that was too wet and the powder didn't go on smooth... ok then maybe you shouldn't be applying the base coat too THICK..... WITHIN 2 DAYS MOST OF MY DIPPING POWDER WERE CHIPPING... AND I NEVER HAD THIS KIND OF SERVICE DONE HERE.... MAN I CAN SAY SO MUCH ABOUT THIS SALON... WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE..
