Bloom Nails & Spa - Nail - Nail Salons Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

5/5 Bloom Nails & Spa was a great experience from start to finish. The service was wonderful. Everyone was friendly, attentive, and made the experience feel relaxing rather than rushed. The salon itself is clean, comfortable, and has a more elevated feel than your average nail shop. The massage chairs are definitely a plus and make getting a pedicure feel like a little more of a treat. They also have a full bar, which is such a nice touch if you want to relax with a drink while getting your nails done. Great service, relaxing atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities. Definitely a 5-star experience and somewhere I'd happily return to. read more

Unfortunately, I have to decrease my rating. I went back to get my nails done again, and I felt that my technician was less careful. At one point, she accidentally made me bleed, but didn't really address it and just tried to play it off as if it didn't happen. I also felt like the tools hadn't been properly sanitized between customers. Her personal, clear tool box looked really dusty, as if it had nail particles inside, and she placed the tools she used on me right back inside the box without cleaning them. When I soaked off my nails a couple weeks after, I noticed a lot of damage had been done to my natural nails. There were half-moon divots where the drill had pressed too deeply into my natural nails near the cuticle. I noticed other areas of damage as well. Overall, I would not go back. read more

I've been to this place a few times and unfortunately I continue to make observations. I truly believe this place needs to be reported to the state for unsanitary tools. Nail bits are dusty, files aren't new, tools aren't in a sanitized bag. In fact, multiple nail technicians pulled their tools out from a plastic containers each time I visited. This intuition alone will be the reason I won't be returning. Also, gross. Unlike other places I've been to, the gel that they use lasts max three weeks before cracking off--which in my opinion is a terrible deal considering it's $125 for a mani/pedi with gel. Nail enthusiasts--beware. read more

Scammers ! This place will charge you for soaking your hands in water . Ridiculous . In Texas when I go get dip nails I pay 45 $ and 5$ extra for cuticle trim . Here I got charged for a manicure 10$ and 5$ for shape . Excuse me ! According to manager if i get nails shaped that are not round or square it's 5$ . Overall I paid 61$ for a dip . Ridiculous overcharge . Do not come to this place or you will be scammed . read more

Bloom Nails & Spa - Overpaid for a dip . Won't come back here ever again . I did leave the lady a tip even though I think she just scammed me . - Nail Salons Near Me - Kansas City, Missouri

clients were lost in the shuffle of the salons busyness... did not receive a thorough basic pedi skipped the cleaning out the nail beds and never checked on me after service completed and waiting for everything to dry, and tech was at the next booth....mani was by another tech, at first it went well and then no lotion no massage. Once again, never checked on while nails dried...had to pull out the toe separators with my newly painted nails...and trying not to touch or ruin them. Person in charge...watching movies and yelling for techs to serve clients. Not a peaceful or happy atmosphere read more

I was looking forward to this being my new nail salon. However, on my third visit I was met with disrespect, so I will not be returning! I went in on 5/2 needing a fill & pedicure. My pedicure was awesome per usual. A different tech was supposed to do my fill. I had already picked out my colors & she just needed to grab them off the shelf. I'm not sure what the misunderstanding was but she thought I hadn't chosen my color(s) & told me to "hurry up". Thinking I misunderstood her, I asked her to repeat it. She said "Hurry up. I'm hungry." I walked away from her to inform who I believed to be the manager of what happened & she followed me trying to "explain". The guy spoke to her briefly in their language & then told me he would get someone "nicer" to do the service. WHAT?!! He offered no apology at that time. Once the other tech was ready for me (30 minutes later), she told me it would be $5 extra for multiple colors, $5 for matte, and $5 for SHAPING...the shape that already existed on my nails! I went back to the manager & told him the least he could do because of his rude employee, inconvenience, AND failure to apologize, was remove JUST ONE of those extra fees. He THEN apologized & made up several excuses for his employee. He told me he would not and could not give me a "discount" as if I was asking out of the blue. So I left. If you plan to visit this salon, be aware that management allows their employees to treat patrons poorly with no consequences. In my three visits there, I spent almost $400. I will now spend my money elsewhere! read more

An amazing gel pedicure and I loved the way they shaped my toenails. They also have a full bar and can offer you mocktails, cocktails, wines, water for free with your service. Do they have a liquor license? I have no idea, but I enjoyed a glass of cab. The only downside here is we came with a party of four at 5p. The other three got started and I got left waiting for a nail tech to become ready. I did not start my pedicure until 6pm.... read more

Bloom Nails and Spa - Kansas City, MO (Northland-Legacy Dr) I am obsessed with the new @bloomnailsandspals location in the Northland. This experience was truly the best I've had in KC from a nail salon. Everything from the pedicures to manicures to drinks and service were top notch. Everything was so clean and nicely designed. @bloomnailsandspals just had their grand opening this past Saturday where over 300 people lined up for a promo! I highly recommend The owner John is so nice and inviting. Can't say enough good things, will define be back to visit my new neighbor salon! Book online or walk-in. A perfect place for a girls day. They also have their original location is Lee's Summit. Check it out and let me know how you liked it! read more

I've been coming to Bloom since it opened. Drinks are free; alcoholic included. Booking an appointment is very easy. I always get a lavish pedicure with a dip manicure. I've been coming to the same tech for years and my nails are so long! My nail tech is so talented! She has great designs around the holidays. She knows my drink order and what I want when I come in. Her massages are very relaxing. There's calming music playing with beautiful scenes on all tvs. It's honestly hard not to fall asleep (I did once). read more

Great service - complimentary drinks, friendly staff and quality results. Definitely a good spot for an event!

Recommended my mom to this Salon because I had good experience's in the past. She called me crying because the nail tech she had redid her nails 3 times, but this was still the result. My mom paid $100 for this set and left unhappy with poor work. The lines were uneven, shape was wonky, and overall poor work. My mother and I are avid acrylic nail enthusiasts and rarely do not have our nails done. This is by far the worst quality set I have seen for a hot minute. They refused a refund and only asked for her to come back in to fix. Will not be doing that! I am very disappointed. read more

Genuinely the WORST place I've EVER had my nails done. First, I'm visiting from out of state and they are so far behind in the times, only one person in the entire salon understood what GelX is and didn't know how to handle. They sloppily did something to my nails, which looks like a kindergarten did them. Then they bubbled and popped, causing my to go in yet again on my vacation to fix them and then I asked them to make a better fix and they refused because it would cause them a little extra work. Truly, steer clear of the shit show! There has to be better place out there! read more

Definitely rushed and sloppy, seems to be a trend. I ask 3 different times for a manicure and for my cuticles to be cleaned up, I was given a very poorly done gel polish application and sent out the door. No cuticle clean up and gel polished all over the place. Love that I paid $30 for such a poor outcome read more

Not bad, but not great. Pedicure is top notch. Very keen on details and take their time making sure it's right. The pedicure lasts a very long time, which is very nice. The not so great part, I've gotten two full sets of acrylics here from two different nail techs. Both times just before fill time, at least one nail pops off and others lifted. Compared to my usual spot, not impressed. I wanted to make this new spot because I enjoyed the attentiveness and vibe, however I'll stick to my regular nail salon. read more

Tried to overcharge me and make up fees that weren't listed. they say they charge for certain shape but really it's alll shapes. they charge for what they want not what is listed. Also I don't like my nails at all, there's barely a top coat And they curve down. I get being expensive but show those prices. don't try to jip people thst don't pay attention to your prices. you lost some good business , because i get my nails done every 2 weeks and up until the overcharging I was gonna come back. I also usually tip good but im not gonna tip when someone tried to overcharge me. I hope yall take this as a learning experience read more

I hate having to make this review. I've been a customer with this salon before and have had a great experience; however I made an appointment a few days ago exclusivity for gel paint because I have been growing my nails out. They ended up giving me a different service and my natural nails are now gone. I ended up paying $75+ tip for a service I didn't ask for, and results I didn't want. If I knew I would have been paying that price I would have asked for something different. With that being said I also asked for nail art and the quality wasn't what I've received from them before. I was very let down by my last appointment read more

Pedicure options were amazing also they have alcohol beverages. They took the time to make sure I was getting what I requested.

I went to a group salon session with my friends a few weeks ago to get a pedicure before my Florida trip, which was the next day. I spent $85 for gel and was promised it would last a month. On the plane the next day I noticed one of my toe nails was bare-the polish was just gone. The next day, first day of my trip, I had two toenails bare. So dissatisfied with this. trying to add pics to this review to show, ‍ read more

Beautiful spa, great service. Had the lavish mani and pedi and it was a perfect treat yourself day. A little pricy but worth it.

Okay, I wanted to give a good review. As a matter of fact, I was asked to give a good review once I was seated with the technician, and when I left. If I have to be asked, I know I'm in trouble. The whole process felt rushed - get this person done, so they can quickly go on to the next. End result - two toenails are messed up, and I need to fix them myself. I don't think this is my place - but I'm pleased that others like it, however, I won't be back. Oh, and of course, they up sale. But I guess that's common. read more

My first impression of the salon in the north land didn't resonate when I returned a second time. Salon is very nice but beware of John. He completed my service very fast but when you are spending $75 to $100 to get toes and nails done you shouldn't walk out bleeding and in pain. Apparently pulling away, wincing, saying curse words and blood doesn't translate to his language. read more

Had a horrible pedicure experience. I asked for something to be done, was ignored. They seemed so eager to get rid of me so then my polish was messed up. Went back to the next day to get it fixed and they ignored my requests twice. Will not be coming back here. What a waste of $55 read more

spent $70 on a pedi for them not to clean under my toe nails. the lady who did them didn't even file my toes down after she cut them so i had two hangnails that were very painful the next couple days. i ended up having to cut the corners of my toes to fix the hangnail i wish i never wasted my money!! read more

Let's just start with the positive, pedicure was great! Now let's shift to the bad. The nail tech I got for my gel manicure did a horrible job. She did not shape my nails until AFTER she had put the gel polish on and set polish with the LED light!! Did not ask me to wash my hands to get the residue off from shaping my nails, proceeded to put lotion on my hands to remove residue Then when I finally looked at the finished product(my gel chrome nails) some of my nails were not even shaped right! She asked what shape and I asked for square. My thumb shape was not even, some fingers didn't even get a square shape!! Last but not LEAST!!!!! It has not even been 10 hours and the gel is lifting!! WTF, like why did I just spend $100 for something that can't even last a WHOLE DAY???? Please make it make sense. Will not be going back, just a waste of time and money. ***UPDATE*** (they blocked me from Facebook since I left a review there as well) horrible customer service! read more

I had a 1 o'clock appointment on a Sunday for a dip and pedicure. Waited approx. 40 minutes before a technician got to me. The pedicure was rushed and sloppy. My toenails did not get painted all the way. I asked the technician and showed her where they were not painted and she got upset like I was bothering her. I paid for the most expensive pedicure you can get there and it was like the lowest pedicure you can get there. My nails looked okay, other than I had to come home and shape them and buff them out because they were lumpy and wide. I went there thinking I would save time by not doing them myself because I was going out of town for a wedding and wanted them to look nice and professional. The gentleman that greeted me was very nice and checked on me a couple of times while I waited. I might give them one more try and request a different technician if I end up with the same technician. read more
