Their craftsmanship was exceptional, and their professionalism was evident from day one. From our first conversation, Jasper took the time to walk us through his portfolio and explain the different types of concrete, which really helped us feel confident in our decisions. We hired Cure-Rite Concrete for two major projects. The first was installing a brand-new three-car driveway with additional sidewalks and replacing the damaged concrete supporting the pillars of our garage apartment. The second project required them to travel nearly 20 miles to my parents' home to replace an aging boardwalk with a slanted cement walkway leading to the entrance, and to bulldoze a 50-year-old cement-and-brick pillar to make room for a small side patio. Their crew worked seamlessly across both properties, and impressively, both projects were completed within a week and done beautifully. We had a few minor hiccups along the way, but Jasper and Cristian were quick to respond and addressed every issue promptly and professionally. If you have a project involving new cement, do yourself a favor and hire Cure-Rite Concrete. In fact, my parents were so pleased with the results that they're planning to hire them again to install a cement back patio, a side patio, and to replace their old two-car driveway. Thank you, Jasper and Cristian, for delivering two projects with true excellence. Highly recommended!

I trusted Cristian (who lives in my neighborhood) to perform a driveway and sidewalk replacement…read more(around $20K). He was eager to get the job and offered a competitive price and one-year workmanship warranty. I had seen the work he had performed on other neighbors' driveways, including his parents and was impressed with the finished product. He performed the work at the beginning of this year. The weather was forecasted to be very cold, but he assured me that it was a good time to pour concrete. After pouring the first truck load of concrete, his workers used what was remaining of the concrete to start another large driveway pad section while a new supply was to arrive. Unfortunately, the next supply of concrete was delayed a number of hours (assumingly due to weather / road conditions). When the new supply finally arrived, the added it to the partially poured section (which had already started to set up) and they finished the rest of the job. Unfortunately, do the time lapse, it formed a "cold joint" and cracked completely through the slab from end to end (right along where to older cement meet up with the new cement) within several days of completion (days, not weeks, months or years!). I reported it to him immediately and he assured me that he would replace the section (remember, he offered a one-year warranty). Unfortunately, after many promising to address the warranty over the last almost year, he has stop responding to my inquires and we are now approaching a year since it was poured. In addition to this workmanship issue, the job included some other tile work that was never completed and never came back to cleanup all of the concrete splatter that covered my front landscaping stonework/windows, etc. and his team destroyed my front sprinkler system (both of which I had to clean/replace/repair at my own expense...repairs to any damage they caused was part of the deal). I hope that he will realize this is not the way to handle issues with customers. I understand that issues / problems happen (that's why business warranty their work) and it's tough to lose some of your profit to make it right - as promised - but taking the easy way out always bites you in the a$$ in the end. For example, I had several of my neighbors wanting me to give them his contact information to quote similar replace jobs, but they decided to go with different contactors given the way this has turned out. Remember what they say about Karma - it is always going to show up one day and its usually a bi@#$! Sad, seemed like a nice young man trying to build a business like his parents and brothers have done.

Sergio came our, quoted the job and told us about his business and after comparing the quotes we realized that Sergios was very competitive. So we hired him and his team. Sergio was very communicative. He understood what we wanted. His crew was respectful of our property and cleaned up after themselves. Of the 6 quotes I got, Jacob at Your Texas Patio blew them all away (he beat the obnoxious one by nearly $50,000 for basically the exact same project). I generally don't go for the cheapest option, but after the initial conversations he had me convinced that he knew what he was doing. So, I dove right in. As soon as they had the go ahead, work was underway. Angel led the way on the construction end and was out there every day (often including the weekends) doing everything from tearing out the side of the house to connect the structure, putting down posts, framing the roof, painting, etc. A real construction stud. In no time the project was complete and I'm extremely happy with the finished project (which beat our target date by about 2 weeks). Sure, there were some snags along the way. I had some plumbing issues that needed to be addressed (1960s house with original sewage lines), a sprinkler than was inadvertently damaged and the need to run a gas line from the other side of the house. Jacob fixed anything that needed to be fixed immediately, and if there was something outside the scope of the project he had someone out there for me to consult with on the same day (I couldn't even get my longtime plumber or audio guys out within two weeks). If I had a tweak to design or a minor addition, it was done. If I had questions on the project at 11pm after a few whiskeys or on a weekend at 7am on my way to a soccer game, it was answered. Sure, he looks like a kid, but he knows what he's doing. I'll be using them on my next projects and you probably should, too.

The meeting went well and the person that showed up at my house was nice and polite. The problem was that I felt as if I had to chase the person in order to get my bid. The price of the concrete was a fair price but I decided to go with another company because of the time frame I needed. Perhaps next project I can use this company.

We first reached out to Star Techn to help us with the inspection of the home we planned to purchase. The inspection report noted some leveling issues with the house so it was clear work needed to be done. Star T immediately responded and provided us an initial estimate. This proved to be critical in helping us negotiate during the option period. Then when it came time to begin the work they stayed in contact with us the entire time. From start to finish, the team was incredible. They kept us in the loop the entire time during the project and were candid when they spotted issues or uncovered things that needed to be fixed (like plumbing). The biggest thing for us during this project is that we truly felt like we were receiving an honest assessment and fair value for the work being performed. On day one I never imagined how much digging would be taking place around the foundation but I have to say the quality of the work and the way everything was restored to normal in the yard after everything was completed was extraordinary. I have to admit that the perimeter around the house looked even better than before they started work. In other words, this company ensured things looked the exact same way or better than before they started construction. I would absolutely recommend this company to anyone. You should not hesitate to get a quote from this vendor even if you are shopping around. We are so grateful for all the care and attention to detail this family-run business exhibited. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

We got 3 estimates in that each of the three companies sent their staff to the house in reviewing and preparing data for estimates. The estimates from the 3 companies came back with wide range of recommendations and costs. Tony from Star Techn came to do the estimate. Foundation Repair because of their estimate and recommendation made sense and not upselling with so many different options which added more costs. Flor was great in her responsive and constant communications with me from the beginning and throughout the project. Flor and Henry were able to work with my schedule to start the project. In addition to keeping the work around the house free of trash and organized, the crew really worked hard and well together in getting the project done in such short amount of time which exceeded my expectations. We have 2 large oak trees close to the front of the house. During the digging of the holes , the crew cut lots of the roots with some as large as one foot in diameter. Apparently, these tree roots have been moving towards the house causing the elevation and foundation issues at the front part of house. Because of discovering this issue, Flora informed me and recommended the metal tree root barrier service that they can do. After reviewing the process and considering protecting the investment of the house foundation from further future damage, we proceeded with the metal root barrier service. Glad we did this since we discovered more large roots encroaching the house that the crew had to cut off. Star Techn Foundation Repair ensured that our door locks and sprinkler system worked after leveling and the completion. We are very happy and satisfied with Star Techn Foundation.

He hooked me in with line that a guy had overbought concrete and he had a $1500 credit at the plant and would pass that on to me on the original estimate for my driveway. Carl came and had the concrete ripped up and taken away, he setup the form and rebar. Due to the length of my driveway , he said it would involve 3 separate pours. Carl said he would pull permits with the city of SL and when I called there wasnt a permit on file for my address. He was always referencing Milton and that he would be driving the truck in. Carl's messages would say, gps on truck can't find your house, this happens, I'll look for him. Then the next message was, the concrete is too hot and had to reject the load and sent the truck back. Everyone has cell phones with maps and this was a lie. The excuses and lies were compounding. We called another company we had a bid for same work, Don Ruggers, Advanced Installation, who apparently voice recorded our phone call to inquire about his availability to finish the job. Don pretended he didn't know Carl Mulle, other than he is a contractor. Carl called me after I was speaking to Don Ruggers. I asked Don if he called Carl and he fessed up and said he did. After calling Carl back, he wanted to speak face to face and was close by my house. What a coincidence. He was clearly upset and upon leaving he said, Don Ruggers shared my call to him and he was upset that I didnt think he would finish the job. Carl kept saying I thought we were friends, this is a business transaction but whatever. In calling other legitimate companies, the concrete pour should have been done by day three and Carl started the work May 13 and today is the 23rd. In addition, Carl said the pour had to be split up, it couldn't be done all at once because the weight of the truck would break the lower concrete towards the street. Another bs line. In summary, this Carl Mulle or CJ Mulle Concreye Services is a sheister in disguise and Don Ruggers of Advanced Installation, didn't want to finish the job for Carl because they're friends or rather thick as thieves.

Honesty, Integrity, Professionalism…read more This was my experience with Groundworks Foundation Consultation. Beau Roper arrived at our property on time, introduced himself politely, and gave us a quick overview of what to expect -- how long things would take and when we'd get the report back. We walked the property together so I could point out any issues and he could ask questions. He then got to work, explaining that the inspection would take about an hour to an hour and a half since he needed to be thorough and photograph everything on the property. We ran some errands and came back just as he was finishing up. He walked us through everything he'd done and made sure my wife felt comfortable with the findings before leaving the property clean and orderly. Moving forward, Groundworks kept us updated on the status of the report and what to expect next. Everything arrived exactly on time. I can't thank them enough -- this was an exceptional experience compared to other contractors I've dealt with. Groundworks provided a very thorough report, complete with the licensed engineer's information, which made a real difference. Quick note for anyone in Texas: there's no state license or requirement to be a foundation contractor here -- all you need is a shovel. It's a pretty wide-open, unregulated space. That's what made Groundworks' transparency stand out even more. As it turned out, our house didn't need any foundation work, so we don't know firsthand how they'd handle an actual repair. But if we ever do need one, it'll be with Groundworks -- because of how Beau Roper handled everything, start to finish.
