Erick is an easygoing contractor to deal with and he is there every day to check in on his team. My estimate from them was in the middle range of the 3 I received from others and I found his price to be very reasonable for the amount and quality of work I received. His team was at my house at 8 am every day which I find is hard to come by. Other contractors I have dealt with usually have a vague 1-2 hour window of when they show up which is sometimes hard to deal with. We received a few quotes to paint the complete inside of our 1700 sq ft home. Erik's quote was mid-range. Erik is delightful, honest, on the spot, smiling with any perceived issues. Erik and the crew arrived promptly, every day, working around us, because we are retired and home usually. When leaving daily, they cleaned any paint chips, walk-in dirt, etc. The guys moved furniture, we would have needed a fork lift if moved by us. The job was completed earlier than expected. The painting was not simple. In a few rooms the vaulted ceiling was to be the same color as the walls. In other rooms, ceiling paint different than the walls, and different types of paint. The yard clean up was precision. Our decorator, who is tough, was and is, highly impressed with the price, the expertise, the gorgeous painting, quality, the cleaned outside area, the level of professionalism, and attitude of all of the gentlemen. Let's see. I scheduled an estimator appointment for last Friday but estimator showed up unannounced last Wednesday morning. Interrupted a family member that was on a work conference call. Estimator surveyed the job site with no input or discussions from property owners and followed that up by forwarding an payment invoice for the job. Limited description of what work will be done and no time on how long job would take, just payment invoice. Found Erick on Yelp as a "suggestion" by the Yelp algorithm. He was the only one who was responsive, and his communication throughout was amazing, despite me being a bit of a pest and changing my mind on a few things along the way. Got three estimates total and thought to myself "I hope I can afford this guy, I hope I can afford this guy..." Erick is personable and oozes honesty and trustworthiness. I told him we wanted our deck refinished and that we did it ourselves and he said, "you did a terrible job", and he was right. THIS is the type of person you want doing a job for you...honest and open about the job to be done. He had to rent extra equipment and charge extra labor because our deck was in bad shape, but the additional cost and the overall price was more than reasonable, and right in the middle of the other estimates I got. I wanted a specific color for the deck, but he pushed me another way, I wasn't sure about the tone of the color, but he pushed me anyway, and of course he was 100% correct. When you hire Erick, you also get his amazing crew. Felipe was the first one on the job for powerwashing, he was present throughout, and then he and Cesar did all the final touchup and detail work on the house and the deck - these details make all the difference: everything looks brand new on our 50 year old house and our 16 year old deck. We're getting doors and windows replaced in a few months and will definitely have them back for touch up work after that is done. The whole crew is professional and diligent and the site was left immaculate after the work - they are a pleasure to have on site. 100% would recommend them to anyone regardless of the job to be done.
